Spirito innovativo, il coraggio di osare il nuovo e di sfidare le convenzioni; il successo di Gessi inizia con una idea rivoluzionaria: trasformare il rubinet-to, dalla consueta valvola tradizionale, in oggetto di arredo e design con funzioni e forme sofisticate. E ciò fin dai primi anni di vita dell’azienda; con Griffe del 1992 Gessi inventa infatti il rubinetto “di design” e pochi anni dopo Diverso evoca anche nel nome una rottura: sono di fatto oggetti diversi da tutto quello che era stato pensato e realizzato fino a quel momento, ru-binetti cioè, con una personalità propria, non più val-vole per “avere acqua” ma elementi di arredo capaci di un significativo contributo di immagine all’ambiente.Come tale la rubinetteria inizia a rispondere alle logiche della moda e del lusso e prepara una rivisitazione dei lo-cali cucina e bagno come ambienti non più di semplice servizio, ma spazi da vivere e mostrare, da inventare e personalizzare, e in cui i gesti quotidiani acquistano un valore nuovo e speciale. An innovative spirit, the courage to dare and defy the rules – this is how Gessi can be defined in a nutshell. Its success started with the revolutionary idea of transforming taps from traditional valves into glamorous furnishing objects with sophisti-cated forms and functions. With Griffe of 1992, Gessi launched its concept of a “designer tap”, while soon after “Diverso” (Ita-lian for “different”) evoked a change in its very name: Gessi had started to shed a new light on taps, turning them into items intended to significantly improve the style of home interiors. In Gessi’s idea, the kitchen and bathroom had to make a shift from functional areas to living spaces to be shown, invented, customized and enjoyed – i.e., rooms where daily habits would acquire a new, special value. Since then, Gessi has been a key reference in tap design. Its continuous creative commitment and research unfailingly result in timeless, trendsetting designs. Quadro, Rettangolo, Rettangolo XL, Mimì and today the Private Wellness Line are the milestones of a success story made of creativity and innovation, as well as design icons of worldwide renown.

è una azienda che progetta, produce e commercializza dal 1992 elementi di arredo per il bagno e la cucina. Gessi è realtà totalmente italiana, che - in assoluta controtendenza rispetto alla diffusa corsa alla delocalizzazione delle unità produttive - realizza direttamente e internamente, con personale specializzato, ogni fase della produzione, dal design, alla comunicazione del prodotto, compresa la progettazione e realizzazione degli allestimenti fi eristici e di presentazione del prodotto, Ciò a garanzia di una qualità senza compromessi e una totale personalizzazione dell’esperienza Gessi, fatta non di semplici oggetti, ma di emozioni.

Gessi has designed and manufactured exclusive bathroom and kitchen faucets and fi ttings since 1992. Gessi is a genuinely Italian company. Differently from the now common habit to relocate production units abroad, all production processes - including design, production and communication activities - are carried out in-ternally, in a large manufacturing park, by a specialized staff. The combine also hosts a graphic and movie production studio for the Company’s communica-tion and marketing activities and a large in-house wood-processing facility whe-re its glamorous product displayers and showroom furnishings are crafted. All this is intended to ensure the ever uncompromising quality of the “Gessi expe-rience” which is centered on products as well as the emotions they generate.
