With operating efficiencies of up to 97%, the Viron Gas Heater reduces operating costs by more than 20% over conventional gas heaters. Unlike other glass media, Viron Glass Filter Media is made from 100% recycled plate glass. It is crushed, dried and screened into various sizes to achieve optimal filtration properties. This results in a lighter, cleaner filter media with better filtration properties and no glue or label residue found in some other glass media.

Tests show that Viron Glass Filter Media is able to catch more turbid particles, thereby cleaning water more effectively and efficiently. This may allow pool equipment to be operated for fewer hours which saves you energy and money. The Glass Media is lighter than sand which results in more efficient backwashing using less water and helping the environment.

viron CL Cartridge Filter

With less plumbing and no backwash line, installing and maintaining your Viron filter is so simple, almost anyone in the family can do it. The Viron CL Cartridge Filters are designed to save between 8,000 and 20,000 liters (2,113 and 5,283 gallons) of water each year, by only requiring once a year cleaning for most residential pools. Made for tough conditions, they do not need regular flushing like sand or glass media filters, which means you can save the equivalent of 37 hours of shower time in water each year.

The Viron CL filters secret lies in their low maintenance. With the use of four state of the art antimicrobial filter elements, they have enormous capacity so they only require cleaning once a year. The antimicrobial elements inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew leaving you with a crystal clean swimming pool or spa. A built-in automatic air bleed system also reduces the manual air bleeding process, simplifying your routine maintenance program.

The Atlas FG Sand Filter produces crystal clear water using fine sand or glass as the filter medium. A large capacity and higher flow rates enable pool water to be filtered more effectively in a shorter period of time, saving on operating costs. The AstralPool laminated Aster Commercial Series (CS) Filter offers 100% non-corrosive all fiberglass construction with a smooth exterior gel coat. The Aster Series filter is the only filter on the market that comes standard with a unique patented tool-less lid systems. The AstralPool Tool-less lid system is made from commercial grade quality materials that compresses the O-ring against the lid collar for a water tight seal.

The Aster Series filter utilizes 1 laterals made from injected molded polypropylene. Each lateral is slotted 360 degrees to provide superior filtration and a quick complete backwash cycle.

The HydroSpin can treat flow rates up to 500 liters (132 gallons) per minute at a maximum working pressure of 250 kPa. It is installed between the pump and the filter, separating solids down to 40 micron thanks to its 24 hydrocyclones. The result is a reduction in the frequency of washing of the filtration system and a 50% reduction in water consumption during the cleaning process. It therefore enables the user to protect the pump and filtration equipment against wear and tear caused by solid particles and dirt in the water.

HydroSpin is installed between the outlet of the pump and inlet of the filter. The water enters the body tangentially and travels through the hydrocyclones, which generate a strong centrifugal effect. The centrifugal force moves the dirt towards the system pre-filters conical wall, where it takes a downward spiral trajectory. The solid particles are dragged to the lower part of the device, where they are collected in a solid collection tank divided into three areas: decantation, clarification and thickening. Sediments and particles of up to 0.04 mm are retained in the collection tank, from where they are easily removed by opening the draining valve.

Thanks to its special design, it has virtually no impact on the pumps flow rate. The HydroSpin can be installed without changing the existing pump. It uses standard 50mm diameter connections for the water inlet and outlet.

HydroSpin requires almost no maintenance. Thanks to its transparent collection tank, sediments can be monitored visually and it can be easily cleaned by simply opening the purge valve using only 5 liters (1.3 gallons) of water. You dont even have to stop the pump. Maintenance is simple as it has no moving parts or components requiring regular replacement.

Net'n'Clean In-Floor Cleaning System

Dirt accumulates in a pool for many reasons and must be regularly cleaned to keep the pool looking great. This problem may be solved with automatic pool cleaners, which are robots that move along the bottom of the pool and pick up dirt (soil, leaves, etc.).

However, many pools have unique shapes and are used in a wide variety of ways including swimming, hydrotherapy, recreation, etc., and conventional pool cleaners do not always work exactly where needed. They can leave uncleaned areas and get caught in corners or other sections of the pool, etc.

How does netnClean work?

The NetnClean system is composed of a series of nozzles installed at the bottom of the pool (the number of nozzles will depend on the pool size and shape) as well as one or more control valves that direct pressurized water through each nozzle branch sequentially. Water flows out at high pressure through nozzles and causes the dirt at the bottom to rise to the surface of the pool, where it is collected by the filtering system (skimmer or overflow).

The NetnClean automatic cleaning system can be easily installed during new pool construction. Two basic models of the NetnClean nozzles are available, with several versions of each one: one model is appropriate

for installation in concrete pools, whereas the other can be used in liner pools (prefab pools or panel pools with concrete bottom). Normally, the system is installed when the pool structure is constructed.

What does the user have to do?

The NetnClean system is extremely simple to operate, there is no need to worry about anything at all. If the construction design and installation has been done correctly, the system will handle all the cleaning work and the owner or user will not even notice, with any problems previously associated with pool cleaning completely forgotten.

AstralPool presents Heliox UV, a new automatic UVC light systems for treatment and disinfection of pool water. The adjustment process can also be carried out when the pool

is full of water.

The inbuilt safety system prevents any unwanted adjustment

of the pool tensor system. The strengtheners can only be al-

tered by using a special tool. Similarly, there are special nuts

Hot galvanization

The method used by AstralPool in order to protect the materials

used from rust is hot galvanization. This is an innovative pro-

Thanks to the working practices used, the type of steel selected

Panel assembly

The individual elements

Each set comprises mainly of the panel system which makes up

the body of the pool, an overflow channel and corner strength-

eners.

These panels are comprised of 2 mm thick hot galvanized steel

sheets, doubled-over for extra strength and reinforced with cor-

ner and rib strengtheners.

The rigidity of the structure allows it to handle pool pressure of

up to 16,4 ft deep.

The overflow channelThis is situated near the top of each panel, and is riveted to the

stainless steel structure. The channel is also constructed using

2 mm thick hot galvanized steel sheets and is totally modular,

thanks to the lateral tensors. These tensors also allow for all the

small variations in the level of the pool water, ensuring perfect

overflow around the edge of the pool.

Reinforced strengthenersThe reinforced strengtheners are also adjustable, allowing per-

fect pool assembly down to the last millimeter.

The lower strengthener allows the length and width of the

pool to be adjusted, while the side strengtheners adjust the

tilt of the pool walls.

Liner covering

The best guarantee for perfect pool watertightness. Manufactured

from 150/100 reinforced PVC-P (plasticized poly-vinyl chloride),

this is the most commonly used material for covering liner pools

due to its flexibility, resistance to wear and tear, easy application,

resistance to fading as a result of UV rays and the wide range of

colours available. The material is 100% recyclable.

Fitting the linerThe liner is fitted by thermally sealing the various pieces that

make up the pool surface until a perfectly watertight shell is

formed. When fitting the liner, it is important to start from the

Return inlets

In all Skypool Commercial Pools, whatever their shape or size,

the return of filtered water can be fitted to either the side or the

floor of the pool.

We recommend that you install the system in the pool floor.

Thanks to this system, it is possible to ensure a perfect uni-

formity of the physical and chemical water conditions, as the

return nozzles are evenly spaced around the pool.

In order to use the automatic water chemical regulation and

control system, it will also be necessary to install a suction noz-

zle in pre-fabricated pools.

Skypool models

Skypool Commercial Pools are designed to feature independent

panels which enable any shape or size of pool design to be

assembled. The mechanical force that the pool has to withstand

is equally distributed in each individual pool model. Assembly

consists of joining modules together until the required pool

shape is obtained.

As well as straight panels, we also offer curved models (EGO

panels) which allow free form pools of all sizes to be easily con-

structed.

Skypool models

Fixed Skypool Commercial Pools: a multi-use pool fixed to the ground

Standard Skypool Commercial Pools anchored to the previously

installed concrete slab via chemical plugs, can be adapted to the

needs of any installation.

According to your needs, you may choose between an above

ground or an in-ground pool. The selection of one option or the

other does not need modifications to either the assembly method

or the design of the panels or anchoring system. All procedures

and materials are fully compatible for both alternatives.

Anchored structure

Suspended Skypool Commercial Pools: an adaptable and temporary pool

Skypool Commercial Pools allow existing infrastructures to be

used. Panels are mounted onto structures which are joined

via a longitudinal beam. In order to be able to withstand water

pressure, opposing blocks are connected via steel cables which

run length- and breadth-wise across the pool floor.

In order to fully conceal the cables, a raised floor or compacted

sand is installed. The final result is a perfectly level and consistent

slab onto which the liner can be fitted. As the water fills the shell

of the pool, the steel cables become tighter, counteracting the

pressure exerted by the water mass on the pool structure.

Pool assembly

Constructing the concrete slabIn order to install a Skypool Commercial Pool you will need to

design a concrete slab the size of the pool and bear in mind the

following information in order to ensure perfect pool operability:

Concrete slab resistance

This should be in accordance with the size and shape of the

pool, type of soil and local regulations.

The pressure it will need to withstand will depend on the type

and volume of the pool. Skypool Commercial Pools are sup-

ported by tensors, whose length and anchoring system varies

according to the pool type.

Installation of the plumbing

If the pool is an anchored type and water recycling is via the

pool floor, the plumbing should be considered before the

concrete slab is constructed.

However, in the case of suspended pools or those with side

mounted return nozzles, plumbing will not be necessary.

Leveling off the concrete slab and removing bumps

For all pool types, anchored or suspended, unevenness of the

pool floor must not exceed 3,14", the maximum difference

permitted in order to be able to handle the regulation

and subsequent adjustments to the pool panels and overflow

system.

In the case of anchored pools, the finishing off of the con-

crete slab needs to be as near to absolutely level as possible in

order to ensure a perfectly uniform base for the liner.

In the case of suspended pools, the only requirement is that

the surface of the concrete slab is flat enough in order to

ensure structural stability. In this type of pool, the liner rests

upon a bed of compacted sand.

Assemble the corners of the pool with their cor-

responding panels and accessories. Once this has been

finished, re-check all measurements.

Preparing and marking out the slab. Create the con-

crete slab with as few imperfections as possible and with

a maximum unevenness of 8 cm. In order to mark out the

slab, you can use various kinds of measuring

equipment, depending on the level of

accuracy you require (optical spirit level, laser, etc).

Assemble all other panels, adjusting their height and

alignment. We recommend that you do not tighten all

the screws until the whole pool is assembled and you

have ensured that all measurements are correct.

Once all the panels have been joined together, check

which is highest. This will set the level for the overflow

channel.

Assemble the overflow system. It is very important that

the joints between these pieces be as perfect as possible.

We recommend that you regularly check that it is level.

Once the overflow system has been assembled, check

that it is level and all other pool measurements, and fi-

nally tighten all screws. Install the safety tensors and

tighten the nuts.

Fit the liner. Starting at the overflow, follow the walls

down vertically, finishing on the floor of the concrete

slab, it order to ensure perfect watertightness.

Assemble the hydraulic circuit. In the case of convention-

al filtration systems, connect all pipes, filters and pumps.

Fill the pool using buckets, water hydrants etc. until the level of the overflow is reached and run a complete filtration cycle. Install

the pool surround.

Accessories

Swimmers stepThis allows the swimmer to be effortlessly supported above the level of the water.

This is a very useful feature in multiuse pools and can be op-tionally installed in pools with depths less than 2 m. For pools of greater depth it is included in the panel.

Constructed from 2 mm thick galvanised steel, it is fixed directly to the pool panel with stainless steel rivets. It is recommendable that you fit non slip liner to the upper part of the step.

Movable wallThis structure is immersed vertically in the water, allowing it to cross the pool, forming a solid barrier.

Thanks to this system, pool space can be optimized and divided into separate areas for a number of different uses. The movable wall structure is built from galvanised steel and PVC slats. It is attached to two rails which are fitted to the pool surround. The walls move manually along the rails, whilst in the case of very large walls, they move with the assistance of a reduction system with manual controls.

Movable floorThe moveable floor turns a single use pool into a multiuse in-stallation by allowing different depths to be set depending on the desired pool activity. A submerged base acts as a pool floor which is attached to hydraulic pistons which raise the platform to the desired height.

Podium platformsThis is a platform upon which starters podiums can be mounted.It can also be used as a turn panel or as the fixing point for lane

ropes.

Ceramic overflowThe overflow system featured in Skypool Commercial Pools is Finnish. Using just two ceramic pieces, a perfect finish is ensured with both the overflow drain and the join to the wall panel.

Accessories

Filter Package SystemsThe Nefrona Monobloc is a new concept in pool filtration, de-

signed and developed by AstralPool as the most innovative sys-

tem available on the market. The Nefrona is a compact, trans-

portable and modular filtration system.

Compact because all the elements are pre-assembled and ready

to use. In order to start up the system, you only need to connect

the water inlet and outlet and connect the system to a power

supply.

Transportable because its reduced size means that it fits in all

standard containers. An assembled, economic filtration system

is now available anywhere in the world, with minimal installa-

tion times and a fully inclusive factory guarantee.

Modular because it can be easily and quickly dismounted in or-

der to install it in areas where access is restricted. Once all the

modules are in place, they can be quickly re-assembled.

The monobloc filtration and control system is mounted on a

hot galvanised steel plate which protects against corrosion.

Compensation tanks, control boxes and regulation probes may

also be optionally added, as may automatic dosage systems and

many other options which make Nefrona the perfect solution for

filtration and chemical water treatment.

Filter Construction

1. Gel coat interior barrier. Constructed of an Isothalic & NPG

polyester based gel coat for superior corrosion resistance.

Provides superior hardness for protection against abrasion from

sand or salt water.

2. Fiber reinforced laminate layer. This layer is constructed of

chopped continuous strand fiberglass and an isothalic polyester

resin. This laminate provides strength to the gel coat layer and is

impervious to water.

3. Woven fiberglass reinforcement. This layer consists of 18 ounce

woven fiberglass, chopped fiberglass, and polyester resin for

additional strength.

4. Fiber reinforced laminate layer. This layer is the same as layer 2.

This layer covers the additional reinforcements provided in layer 3.

5. Radial filament winding. This layer consists of continuous

strands of fiberglass that are impregnated with a blend of an

isothalic polyester resin, color pigments, and UV stabilizers to

provide superior strength in a radial direction along the length of

the cylinder of the vessel.

6. Polar filament winding. This layer consists of the same

construction as layer 5, but applied in a polar (end to end) direction.

7. Radial filament winding. This layer is identical to layer 5. The

filament winding process provides unsurpassed strength and

resistance to high pressure within the filter .

Filter components

Influent and Effluent Pressure Gauge Panel. All Astral

filters include a 2 gauge pressure readout panel

that constantly displays the influent and effluent

pressures of the filter. The pressure gauges are

"Flutter Guard 2" Stainless steel that have a 0-100

psi display.

1" - 360 Patented ABS Laterals

The patented Astral laterals are constructed of a

noncorrosive, chemical resistant ABS. The laterals are

engineered to remove water from under the lateral

system to help prevent unwanted bacteria growth.

The hydraulically balanced design also allows for

even water flow through the media bed during

filtration and backwashing. The Astral Laterals are

covered by a LIFETIME warranty.

diffuser Heads

The Astral diffuser heads are constructed of

injected molded PVC.The diffusers are engineered to

Horizontal Commercial Sand FiltersHorizontal Commercial Sand Filters are constructed in Jacksonville, Florida. Filters hold an NSF listing for working pressures of 50psi and test pressures of 75psi. Filter includes: manual air purge valve, water drain valve and large sand drain. Man-way is a diameter of 16". Filters are constructed in six reinforced layers of laminated and filament fiberglass winding. Horizontal filters offer a vast range of surface areas and a 2' bed depth, providing space saving opportunities with NSF listed stacking capabilities. Standard and custom manifold systems available but sold separately. Semi and Fully Automated systems available. Sand and Gravel required and sold separately.
