High quality ootwear is made with the support o a totally computerised

production system. This constant commitment to quality was

acknowledged in 1997 when COFRA was the irst ootwear manuacturer in

Italy to obtain the UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality System Certiicate.

SINCE 1938 AT YOUR SERVICEThe company was established in 1938 by Ruggiero Cortellino as

Cortelgomma, a small workshop where shoes were manuactured using the

tyres o military trucks or the soles and military uniorms or the uppers.

Everyday about 10 pairs o shoes were produced and sold to the nearest

markets. The ounders passion and enterprise let the small workshop

turn into a company in ew years, producing hundreds o pairs per day,

distributed all over Italy.

In 1983 the company became Cora which is now managed by Giuseppe

Cortellino, Ruggieros son. Cora keeps on growing thanks to a wise andinnovative management, which has led it to become a leader in the saety

ootwear market as well as a well-known brand in Europe and all over the

world. In 1997 Cora was the irst Italian saety shoes manuacturer to

obtain the UNI EN ISO 9001 Quality System Certiicate.

Cora is today considered a saety ootwear specialist. It invests in research

and development in order to oer innovative and new trends solutions;

thanks to a certiied data management system, reliability and a highly

appreciated service are guaranteed. COFRA branded products are the result

o experience, specialization and masterly tradition.

The total annual production is1.230.000 KWh corresponding to the annual electrical energy demand o about 350amilies and it will be covering the 51% o the companys annual demand.Cora is proud o contributing to the environmental protection by avoiding theemission in the atmosphere o more than 500 annual tons o CO

2and about 10.000

in twenty years. The production o clean energy allows a saving on uel that in crude tons is equal to around 240 annual tons andabout 4.500 in twenty years.

CARE AND MAINTENANCEThe lietime o these saety shoes can be extended by cleaning them ater each use and by adopting the ollowing simple habits:dry in ventilated areas, away rom heat sources, remove soil or other substances by using a good brush or cloth; periodicallytreat the upper with suitable products (creams, polish, sprays, etc.); avoid aggressive chemicals (such as uel, acids, solvents,etc.) which may jeopardise quality, durability and saety o the PPE.

STORAGE AND USAGE LIFETIMETo avoid the risk o deterioration, these ootwear have to be shipped and stored in their original packaging. I they are treatedproperly, used in the recommended work environment and stored in a dry and windy place, the shoes have a good lietime,without early wearing o sole, upper and seams. The eective lietime depends on the type o ootwear, work environment,temperature o use, degree o dustiness and wearing.

REPAIR SERVICEIn case o quality issues, Cora guarantees the collection o ootwear that can be reconditioned: we oer a repair service carriedout by our technicians and the shipment back to the customer. This is done to check that the protection characteristics are not

compromised and to guarantee the saety conditions that have been certiied.

transport, storage o common chemical auxiliaries

such as solvents, lubricants and detergents.

The upper design, the reduction o the surace o

superimposed materials, the use o highly-breathable

lining and upper materials acilitate sweat evaporation

and oot transpiration, which remains dry even in high-

It guaranteesgreat support thanks to the uniorm distribution o the air blisters. The perect weight/volume ratioprovides comort, lightness and technical perormance complying with the chemical-physical-mechanicalrequirements demanded by the standards.The sotness o the sole can be experienced in case o strong impacts with the ground, during which thesole gets progressively harder, thus avoiding impact shock on the spinal column.
