Intrdouction 前言

The purposed of the identity system is to unify the “look” of all our offices and branches regardless of the name and services which they operate. At the same time, is flexible enough to accommodate a variety of administration and operation needs. Key to projecting this new look and establishing a close link between the company, offices, branches and our customers are the corporate signature, stationery, signage and supporting elements such as color and typography.

Our new brand/corporate signature provides all the tools necessary to establish a strong, immediately recognizable visual image for the office and branches.

It is the ultimate responsibility of every business head and secretarial team to ensure these standard guidelines are followed.

We urge all of you to adhere closely to the Graphic Standard. Through proper implementation and maintenance, we will present a unified image national and international - one that will clearly distinguish us from our competitors.

企業標誌的視覺效果，保持一個統一的企業形象

，使顧客易於辨認與接受。

標誌結構為企業識別系統之核心，欲建立企

業識別系統，惟有確切遵循標誌結構手冊所編製

的各種使用規範，使能達到標準化與一致性之目

標。

標誌結構的應用範圍與項目極為廣泛，本手

冊提供各種基本原則，若在應用上發生疑問時，

遠東國際商業銀行各部門主管及秘書處應釐清說

明或加以適當增補，如未依照基本規範或未諮詢

總行而恣意更改者，一律屬於不當之使用行為。

Logotype cannot be created or duplicated using standard type, because they are composed of hand-drawn letters designed exclusively for Far Eastern Int’l Bank. This letters must never be redrawn or altered in any way, or used for any purpose other than our logotypes.

All logotypes, as well as the Endiorsement Corporate Signature, can be reproduced only from original digital artwork.

The Corporate Signature 企業標誌

遠東國際商業銀行標誌是推動遠東商銀品牌

的主要工具之一。標誌是由兩個元素組成 - “F”的

圖標及特別設計的中英文字標。這兩個組合的位

置決不能隨意更改。在任何情況下，都必須使用

規範的電子檔案，請不要刪除或更改其設定比例

。另外，在使用時應優先使用彩色標誌，建議使

用於白色背景上。

The corporate signature is the most important part of the total identity program. It is the constant link that connects all aspects of the Bank into a visually unified whole, from signage and decoration through literature, stationery and our various Bank forms and documents.

The new corporate signature consists of four interlocking letter ”F”s - for “Far Eastern” - combined into the shape of a traditional Chinese knot. Such knots symbolize many things to the Chinese, among them teamwork, cooperation and unity. So too these words symbolize the Bank’s philosophy: the teamwork between management and employee; the cooperation of the Bank and its customers, the unity required from all layers of society if Taiwan is to continue to grow; even the inseparable relationship between performance and profits.

The shape of this particular knot is important as well. Its rounded, almost “windmill” shape represents a rolling, on-going forward momentum which further illustrates the confidence and aggressiveness with which the Bank pursues it business goals.

企業標誌乃企業識別系統之核心，為企

業形象，企業文化之表徵。遠東國際商業銀行之

企業標誌以中國結為架構，由4個英文字母”F”為

圖形基礎，以紮實厚重的線條，表現出企業穩固

的實力及誠正，可靠的服務精神，環環相扣的中

國結，象徵企業承襲中國傳統美德的企業精神，

精湛的專業水準及嚴謹的經營組織。

緊緊相繫的線條凝聚經營者與顧客的向心力

。流暢的造型有如運轉中的風車，為遠東商銀生

生不息，永續經營的表徵。

為樹立企業形象之特徵，由企業標誌延伸設

計，規劃之其他各種識別系統，尚包括：企業招

牌、室內裝潢、營業用各種文書表格、存摺、票券

等等，以貫徹企業識別系統之一致性與標準化。

When applying the corporate signature and enable appear prominently and without interference, a minimum “clear space” has been established around the corporate signature. This space is to be left clear of all text or other graphic elements.The minimum acceptable protected area is indicated by the dotted border shown. This area should be increased wherever possible to better display the brand.

在基本標誌及中英文標語標誌中，均以字標

中的“X”的厚度來計算最小淨空範圍。不可在此範

圍內加入其他設計元素。

標誌的設計組合的位置決不能隨意更改。在

任何情況下，都必須使用規範的電子檔案依照規

格比例放大縮小使用。（註：不得重劃、打字、

掃描或影印複製圖案。）

Beside the standard corporate signature, the Endorsement Corporate Signature may only be use in limited circumstance where signature need to apply on FEIB red as background, and only then with written approval of Secretarial Office.

American Standard is the principal Far Eastern Int’l Bank corporate typeface for application such as stationery, business papers, marketing materials, forms, branch signs and publications. Only four versions illustrated may be used.The Furtiger LT Standard type-face may also be used in addition to American Standard to create contract. Only eight versions illustrated may be used.

Chinese typefaces - Ming Family is used for everything from name/ address on stationery to body copy in Bank communications. Alternative,designers may substitute the Gothic Family, these faces hold up better when reversed out of solid color.

The official color for the bank corporate signature - use on external branches and facility signage; stationery, forms, most internal documenta-tion and customer applications; marketing, promotional and sponsorship material including signs and displays, statements, direct mail literature and advertising - are FEIB Grey for the logotype and rule, and FEIB Red for Chinese Knot symbol.

Chinese knot in FEIB Red and black logotype on white background are the most preferred color choices. Although FEIB Red, black and white are the preferred colors, but when apply on exterior signage and interior reception counter interior, endorsement color is acceptable.
