Terms and ConditionsThese Terms and Conditions apply to all bookings or LAL Language Centres courses starting o n or ater 1stJanuary 2013.

1. DefnitionsIn these terms and conditions, the ollowing terms have the meanings set out next to them (and reerencesto the singular include the plural and vice-versa):

Agreement These terms and conditions together with the Application Form and the Price Listwhich are supplied by the Supplier School.

Application Form:The orm you complete and send to the Supplier School in connection withapplying or a place on a Course which shall be considered to orm an integral parto this Agreement.

Conrmation Form: The orm the Supplier School sends you to conrm acceptance o your application.

Course: The Course o study you have applied or on your Application Form oered by theSupplier School.

Departure Date: The date on which your Course ends.LAL Language Centres: The language centres at various locations identied in the Price List.

Price List:The document entitled 'Price List' which incorporates the Application Form andthese terms and conditions and which is also downloadable rom the Website andwhich shall be considered to orm an integral part o this Agreement

Relevant Account: The Supplier School's bank account identied in the Price List.

Start Date: The rst day o the Course or which you are applying.

Supplier School: The LAL Language Centre in the location where you wish to study identied in thePrice List.

Website: The Website at www.lalschools.com

You/Your: The applicant or a Course at the Supplier School.

2. AccommodationLAL Language Centres will advise you on a variety o accommodation options. You should bookaccommodation or the Start Date until the day beore your Departure Date unless you are inormed to thecontrary by the Supplier School. Accommodation arrangements are your responsibility unless you indicatethat you wish to book accommodation with the Supplier School on your Application Form.

3. AgreementThis Agreement shall be legally binding between you and the Supplier School once the Supplier Schoolhas received a completed Application Form rom you , whether by e-mail or otherwise, and has conrmedyour place by sending you a Conrmation Form. This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out oor in connection with it or its validity or its subject matter or ormation is governed by and construed andinterpreted in accordance with the laws o the l egal jurisdiction in which the Su pplier School is situated.

4. CancellationsYou may cancel your booking provided you do so by written notice to the Supplier School, which it mustreceive not less than 14 days beore the Star t Date. In such an event, any ees you have paid will be reundedexcept or registration ees and one weeks tuition and (where applicable) accommodation ees (such eesbeing specied in the Price List). I you cancel your booking less than 14 days beore the Start Date, anyreunds are entirely at the Supplier School General Managers discretion. A ull reund o all ees paid (lessdelivery charges) will be made in the event o visa reusal provided you send written notice to the SupplierSchool and documentary evidence o such reusal. I a Course is terminated ater the Start Date, or i youail to present yoursel at the school on the Start Date without having previously cancelled your Course, noreunds will be given on tuition and accommodation.

5. Changes and AmendmentsOnce you have started a Course, no changes may be made to it other than by written agreement rom theSupplier School. I the Supplier School opts to approve a change, the additional charge which is specied inthe Price List will be incur red by you, and no change can be eected until ull payment has been received.

6. Conduct

You are expected to behave in a courteous manner and to respect ellow students and sta at the SupplierSchool. The illegal use o drugs, alcohol abuse and inconsiderate behaviour is unac ceptable as is any ailureby you to abide by the law and custom o the Supplier Scho ols location. The Supplier School reserves theright to withhold Courses and accommodation rom any student who ails to meet such standards and toterminate any Course or part thereo without reund in appropriate circumstances.

7. CoursesStart Dates are detailed in the Price List. I n the event o an insucient number o students booking ora particular Course, the Supplier School reserves the right to cancel the Course or provide you with analternative Course which the Supplier School, in its sole discretion, considers suitable. The Supplier Schoolreserves the right or classes to take place in alternative premises o a similar standard to the school.

8. Competency LevelsCourses are oered at ve levels o language learning: Elementary/ Pre-intermediate/Intermediate/UpperIntermediate and Advanced. Other teaching levels may be available by arrangement.

9. Certifcation & AttendanceYou must attend a minimum o 80% o lessons scheduled or the Course in order to receive a c erticate oattendance at its conclusion. Students whose attendance alls below this level may be asked to leave theprogramme. Students who require visas who all below the required attendance level will always be reportedto the appropriate government immigration authority.

10. Descriptions

The Supplier School honestly believes that all statements made in promotional material are actualand correct. Every reasonable eort has been made to ensure such accuracy. The Supplier School is notresponsible or any changes that become known ater promotional material is produced (up to dateinormation can be ound on the Website). The Supplier School will advise you o any material changes whichbecome known to it prior to the Start Date.

11. Entrance TestWhere a course requires a minimu m level, you will be required to complete and submit an approved test.Failure to do so may result in you being unable to take the course requested. A suitable alternative will beoered.

12. ExpulsionCommitting a criminal oence, insucient attendance, the provision o alse inormation in your ApplicationForm, in correspondence and dealings with the Supplier School prior to the Start Date or on enrolment,disorderly, drunken, aggressive or threatening behaviour or any other actions which could bring the SupplierSchool or LAL Language Centres into disrepute may result in expulsion rom the Supplier Schoo l withoutreund. In such case, immigration and other authorities will be inormed where appropriate.

13. HealthYou must be in good physical and mental health at the Start Date and the Supplier School reserves the rightto require you to leave any Course at your own expense in the event that you ail to declare any materialmatters relating to your health on the Application Form.

14. Immigration RegulationsYou must ensure that you ully understand immigration regulations in the Supplier Schools location. It isyour responsibility to ensure that you meet and comply with any such regulations and the Supplier Schoolwill not reund any ees paid due to your having been reused entry into the Supplier Schools location byimmigration authorities.

15. Insurance and Limitation o LiabilityYou must arrange suitable insurance in respect o travel and medical risks and may be required to provideevidence to The Supplier School o adequate insurance at least seven days beore the Start Date or at anypoint in time thereater throughout the duration o your Course.

It is always the responsibility o students to satisy themselves that the provision o insurance is adequate tomeet their individual needs. This also applies to students who are supplied insurance whether paid or unpaidas a consequence o booking a course at LAL Language Centres.

The Supplier School shall not have any liability to you or any loss o possessions, injury, death, costs relatedto medical or dental treatment, or costs related to repatriation or or any other losses, damages (whetherdirect or indirect), compensation, costs or expenses unless negligence can be proved in a court o law in thejurisdiction o the Supplier School.

The Supplier School shall not have any liability to you or any loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claimsor compensation arising rom any inormation or instructions supplied by you which is, or are incomplete,incorrect or inaccurate. Where the Supplier School incurs costs due to incomplete, incorrect or inaccurateinormation, you will be liable or these extra costs.

Nothing in any agreement you have with the Supplier School aects any liability or death or personal injurycaused by the Supplier Schools negligence or or raudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as aconsumer.

16. Lesson TimesIndicative lesson times are set out in the Price List. The Supplier S chool reserves the right to alter such lessontimes at its discretion.

17. Matters Beyond LAL Language Centres ControlThe Supplier School will endeavour to provide you with the Course and ser vice you book. However, we do nottake responsibility or disruptions to the Course and arrangements associated with it resulting rom orcesout o the Supplier Schools control, such as (but not limited to) earthqu
