He has extensive experiences in mediaon and marital casework, supervision work on mediaon and mediaon training. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree and a Postgraduate Cerficate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong. She worked for Messrs. David Y. Y. Fung & Co., first as Trainee Solicitor, then later as a Partner before joining Hau, Lau, Li and Yeung as a Consultant in 2001. Cecilia has been providing legal advice to a number of charitable instuons. To meet the increasing needs of dissolving and conflictual families in society, the Training is aimed

at developing accredited and quality family mediators for handling different kinds of family

disputes in relation to divorce, separation and conflicts between/among family members with

professional family mediation skills and knowledge.

HKMAAL Accreditation Requirements

Please visit the website of Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Ltd. at www.hkmaal.org.hk for the details and the prerequisites of accreditation of family mediators.

The Training is based on the Facilitative Model of Mediation which is widely adopted in common and civil law systems.

With the ample experiences in workingwith family mediation cases in local society, the trainers will share the handling of typical cases in HK society including cross-border divorce, cases with disputes on custody, access, different types of assets, interfacing of mediation and court system.

Chinese Manual will be used.

Application of matrimonial law in relation to family mediation to be conducted by our trainers with rich experience in both the legal and family mediation professions. Simulations are supported by coaches from both legal and counseling background.

Practical skills and knowledge on handling conflicts, impasses with high emotional intensity as well as deadlocks involving inter-personal dynamics and financial issues will be imparted through lectures, case demonstrations or video shows as well as interactive exercises and simulations.Cases are extracted from typical local cases.
