The children of “Tomer “ kindergarten were asked:

• To choose a tree which is close to their home

• To find its name and more details about it

• To hug it and tell what was their feeling while huffing the tree.The children became emotionally connected to those trees and Edna, their teacher, created a booklet which tells the story of the “Trees hugging”

Orange tree:

The trunk of the tree is smooth , its leaves are green and its oranges are orange. This is the tree of my grandmother and grandfather.

Every Friday we pick up oranges and make Juice

The pecan tree near the Doctor clinic

Its trunk is rough and can be peeled

Its leaves are long, usually green and in the winter it has no leaves

Almost every Saturday, our family takes a walk to that tree to look for Pecan nuts on the ground.

עליו ארוכים ובדרך כלל ירוקים. בשלכת הם כתומים

כמעט כל שבת בבוקר המשפחה יוצאת לטיול

This special tree is in our lawn. It has no leaves in

winter .times.

When the leaves fall , I like to collect them and

make a nest for the birds. It has big leaves and on them many small leaves.

It blooms at Spring

Every year we have to cut the head of the tree so it will have the shape of a

mushroom

Lately in our yard and we chose it because it will be fun to see

how both of us grow
