Anh Ngữ sinh động bài 1. Đây là chương trình Anh ngữ Sinh động New Dynamic English bài thứ 1. Phạm Văn xin kính chào quí vị thính giả. Trong bài học này quí vị sẽ gặp ông Max và cô Kathy hai người phụ trách chương trình Anh ngữ căn bản nhằm giúp quí vị hiểu thêm về người Mỹ và văn hóa Mỹ. Chủ đề của bài học hôm nay là câu Where Do You Come From?= Bạn từ đâu đến. Quí vị sẽ học cách hỏi và trả lời câu này dùng động từ COME ở thì hiện tại với đại danh tự “I” và “YOU”. Sau đó, quí vị cũng học cách dùng câu “nice to meet you” (hân hạnh gặp bạn), và nghe đoạn giới thiệu ông Gary Engleton là người sẽ mách giúp quí vị dùng Anh ngữ trong mục “Gary's Tips” và “Culture Tips”. Có những từ ngữ cần nghe trước: New York = tên thành phố Nữu Ước, thuộc tiểu bang New York. San Francisco=tên thành phố San Francisco (Cựu Kim Sơn), thuộc tiểu bang California. Eliz: That's the University of California at Los Angeles, right? Gary: Right. I got my BA there in 1979. Then I went to Harvard Business Schoool to do an MBA. While I was doing my MBA, I taught business English to foreign students. Eliz: That's interesting. Gary: After I got my MBA, I started my own business. I began helping foreign companies do business in the United States. Now I also work with international business people who need help with their English. Eliz: We're so happy to have you on our show.
