puente entre el mundo espiritual del más allá y el mundo natural
de nuestra vida cotidiana.

Sin duda alguna, la máscara ha sido deuso universal en todas las grandesculturas de los pueblos del mundo; enGuerrero está estrechamente ligada ala danza, y ésta es considerada una delas más ricas formas de expresión delarte popular ya que reúne teatro,poesía, música y atuendos, por lo queal utilizarla el hombre se transforma enun ser dotado de los poderes deaquellos entes que son invocados enlos rituales mágicos, trascendiendo suhumanidad, adquiriendo poderesdivinos y hermanándose por unosmomentos con los propios dioses. Lamáscara es un microcosmo por el cualel iniciado penetra en un mundomágico y terr ib le , reservadoúnicamente a los dioses.
