áÀå×áÃá® âÅáÚáätÂáBPeace be on You, O the trustee of Alláh on His

earth,

ãÍãjCáRã® ÔÃá® âÐáXáä`âc áÑ

and His Proof over His servants.

áÌå×ãËãÆåKâÇåÂB áoå×ãÆáB CáÖ

áÀå×áÃá® âÅáÚáätÂáB

Peace be on you, O Amír al-Mu’minín.

ãÍãjCáÏã_ áä¼ác ãÐäÃÂB Ø㶠áVåkáÎCá_ áÀáäÊáB

âkáÏåwáBI bear witness that, you

strived in the way of Alláh as is due,

ãÐãä×ãRáÊ áÌáËâs áYå¯áRáäWB áÑ

ãÐãQCáXã¿ãQ áYåÃãÇá® áÑand you acted upon His

Book,and followed the ways of His

Prophet,

ãÐãÂB áÑ ãÐå×áÃá® âÐäÃÂB ÔäÃá{

blessings of Alláh be on him and his

family,

ãÍãnBáÒã_ ÔÂãB âÐäÃÂB á½Cá®áj

ÔäXácuntil Alláh called You to His side.

áUáä`âdåÂB áÀãMDákå®áB áÅáqåÂáB áÑ

ãÍãnCá×ãXågãCãQ ãÐå×áÂãB áÀá£áRá»á¶

So He took you to Him by His choice, and made incumbent upon your enemies the proof,

ãÐã»åÃág ã°å×ãÇá_ ÔÃá® ãUá³ãÂCáRåÂB ãaá`âdåÂB

áÌãÆ áÀá CáÆ á°áÆ

with what you have of the considerable

proofs,over all of His creation.

á½ãnáká»ãQ æUáäËãNáÇå§âÆ Øãtå·áÊ

åÄá¯å_CᶠáäÈâÏäÃÂáBO Alláh then make my

soul, satisfied with Your decree,

áÀãMEá®âj áÑ á½ãoå¾ãmãQ æUá¯áÂåÒâÆ áÀãMEá£á»ãQ æUá×ã¢Bán

pleased with what You have destined for me,

fond of Your remembrance and supplications,

áÀãMEáÇás áÑ áÀã¢ånáB Ø㶠æUáQåÒâRådáÆ

áÀãMEá×ãÂåÑáB ãTáÒå·á|ã æUáäRãdâÆ

loving Your chosen friends, (and let me be) well liked on Your earth and in Your heavens,

áÀãMEáÇå¯áÊ ãÄã¢BáÒá·ã æTáoã¾Cáw áÀãMÞáQ

ãÁåÑâqâÊ ÔÃá® æTáoãQCá{

patient when You send down afflictions,

grateful for Your gracious blessings,

áÀãMEá»ã ãUácåoᶠÔÂãB æUáºCáXåxâÆ áÀãMÝB ã´ãQBáÒátã æTáoã¾Bál

remembering Your abundant bounties,

yearning for the happiness of meeting

with You,

áÀãMEá×ãÂåÑáB ãÌáËâtãQ æUáäËáXåtâÆ áÀãMDáqá_

ãÅåÒá×ã ÓÒå»áäXÂB æTájãäÑáqáXâÆ

equipped with piety for the day of Your reward,

anchored in the traditions of Your

friends,

áÀãMDákå®áB ã¹áÚågáÛ

æUáºãnCá·âÆavoiding the manners

of Your enemies,

áÀãMEáËá[ áÑ á½ãkåÇádãQ Cá×åÊâäkÂB

ãÌã® æUáÂåÒâ³åxáÆdiverted from (love of) the

world byYour remembrance and

Your praise.

çUáÏãÂBáÑ áÀå×áÂãB áÌå×ãXãRåhâÇåÂB áPåÒâÃ⺠áäÉãB

áäÈâÏäÃÂáBO Alláh, the hearts of those

who humble themselves before You, are full of love.

çUá®ãnCáw áÀå×áÂãB áÌå×ãRã²BáäoÂB

áÄâRâs áÑThe paths of those who

desire You are fixed.

22

çUádã¢BáÑ áÀå×áÂãB áÌåÖãkã{Cá»åÂB

áÅáÚå®áB áÑThe signs for those who

seek You are clear.

23

çUá²ãnCᶠáÀåËãÆ áÌå×ã¶ãnCá¯åÂB áTákãNå¶áB áÑ

The hearts of those who know You,

are empty of other than You.

24

çTákã®Cá{ áÀå×áÂãB áÌå×ã®BáäkÂB áVBáÒå{áB áÑ

The sounds of those who call You rise to

You,

çUádáäXá·âÆ åÈâÏá ãUáQCá_ãÛB

áPBáÒåQáB áÑand the gates of

answers are open for them.

çUáQCá`áXåtâÆ á½Cá_CáÊ åÌáÆ

áTáÒå®áj áÑThe prayer of the one who whispers to you is

answered.

27

çUáÂåÒâRå»áÆ áÀå×áÂãB áPCáÊáB åÌáÆ áUáQåÒáW áÑ

The repentance of the one who turns to You is

accepted.

28

çUáÆåÒâcåoáÆ áÀã¶åÒág åÌãÆ Ô¿áQ åÌáÆ áTáoåRá® áÑ

The tears of the one who weeps in Your fear

are dealt with mercifully.

çTájåÒâ_åÒáÆ áÀãQ áZCá³áXåsB ãÌáÇãÂ

áUá[Cá²ãÛB áÑHelp is available for one who cries for help from

You,

30

çUáÂåÑâmåRáÆ áÀãQ áÉCá¯áXåsB ãÌáÇãÂ

áUáÊCá®ãÛB áÑand assistance is given generously to the one

who seeks it.

31

çTáqá`åËâÆ á½ãjCáRã¯ãÂ

áÀãWBákã® áÑYour promises for Your servants are fulfilled.

çUáÂCá»âÆ áÀáÂCá»áXåsB ãÌáÆ

áÄáÂápáÑThe errors of the one who seeks to reduce them, are reduced.

çUáªåÒâ·ådáÆ áÀåÖákáÂ

áÌå×ãÃãÆCá¯åÂB áÁCáÇå®B áÑ

The actions of the doers (of good deeds), are preserved with You,

çUáÂãpCáÊ áÀåÊâká åÌãÆ ã¼ãMÞáhåÂB

ÔÂãB áÀáºBápånáB áÑand the provision for Your creatures comes

down.

35

æUáÃã{BáÑ åÈãÏå×áÂãB ãkåÖãqáÇåÂB

ákãMDáÒá® áÑThe promises of increase

(in provision) reach them.

36

çTánåÒâ·å³áÆ áÌåÖãoã·å³áXåtâÇåÂB

áPåÒâÊâl áÑThe sins of those who seek forgiveness are

forgiven.

37

çUáä×ã£å»áÆ á½ákåËã® áÀã»åÃág

áaãMDáÒác áÑThe needs of Your

creatures are fulfilled.

çTáoáä¶áÒâÆ á½ákåËã® áÌå×ãÃãMEáätÂB áqãMDáÒá_ áÑ

The rewards of the beseechers are available

in plenty, with You.

39

çTáoãWBáÒáXâÆ ãkåÖãqáÇåÂB

ákãMDáÒá® áÑThe promises of

increase are continuous.

40

çTáäká¯âÆ áÌå×ãÇã¯å§áXåtâÇåÂB

ákãMDáÒáÆ áÑWholesome food is

prepared for the hungry,

41

çUá®áoåXâÆ ãAEáÇãä«ÂB

áÄãÎCáËáÆ áÑand drinks are filled

for the thirsty.

ØãMEáËá[ åÄáRåºB áÑ ØãMEá®âj åSã`áXåsCá¶

áäÈâÏäÃÂáBO Alláh, so answer my

prayer,and accept my praise.

ØãMEá×ãÂåÑáB áÌå×áQ áÑ ØãËå×áQ

å°áÇå_B áÑUnite me with my

friends,

44

ãÌå×átâdåÂB áÑ ãÌátádåÂB áÑ áUáÇã¦CᶠáÑ èäØãÃá® áäÑ

èkáäÇádâÆ ãä¼ádãQ

for the sake of Muhammad, and `Alí,

and Fátima, hasan and husayn (a.s.).

áÕCáËâÆ ÔÏáXåËâÆ áÑ ØãMEáÇå¯áÊ âäØãÂáÑ

áÀáäÊãBSurely You are, the

Master of my bounties,the Object of my desires,

áÕBáÒå\áÆ áÑ ØãRáÃá»åËâÆ Øã¶

ØãMEá_án âUáÖCá² áÑthe goal of my hopes, in

my ultimate end and my stable abode.

47

áÕáÙåÒáÆ áÑ Õãkãä×ás áÑ ØãÏÂãB

áYåÊáB(O Alláh) You are my God, my Lord, and my

Master.

CáÊBálB åÌá® åÈâÏåÃá³åwB áÑ CáËáMDákå®áB CáäËá® áä¸â¾ áÑ

CáËãMCá×ãÂåÑáÛ åoã·å²ãB

Forgive (the sins of ) our guardians, keep away our

enemies from us, and divert them from

troubling us.

Cá×åÃâ¯åÂB CáÏåÃá¯å_B áÑ ãä¼ádåÂB

ãUáÇãÃá¾ åoãÏåªáB áÑLet the word of Truth become manifest and

make it supreme,

ÔÃå·âätÂB CáÏåÃá¯å_B áÑ ãÄã¦CáRåÂB ãUáÇãÃá¾

å¤ãcåjáB áÑand let the word of falsehood be refuted

and make it low,

çoåÖãkẠèOå×áw ãäÄâ¾ ÔÃá®

áÀáäÊãBSurely You have power

over all things.

èkáäÇádâÆ ãÁB áäÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔÃá® ãäÄá{ áäÈâÏäÃÂáB
