they are very approachable, and always keen

to land their hand to me whenever I asked.

The campus of NUI Galway is magnificent, green

and lovely with the combination of historical

and modern architectures. The programme MSc

Information System Management that I attended

is absolutely world-class quality. It didn’t just teach

me the cutting-edge IT/IS technologies, but also

gave me and my project team real-life IT project

experience. By working with the local business, it

provided us hands-on problem solving practice

in various IT areas, such as coding, database, web

application design, and full IT project development

life-cycle with agile methodology, which is adopted

by almost every major organisation in the industry

including Google, IBM and so forth.

While I was studying in NUI Galway, the career

development centre organised a great range of

events in term of job fair, company speech, and

CV/LinkedIn/application clinic to help us

prepare for the job interview, and provide career

development guidance. As graduates of NUI

Galway most of my classmates and I have already

successfully secured one or more job offers.

I chose NUI Galway because of its unique Centre for Disability Law and Policy (CDLP). When I was working on disability rights in China, most reports and articles we read could be traced back to the CDLP! Only a few universities in the world have specialised programmes on disability law, and the CDLP has an extraordinary history of law reform advocacy worldwide.

As a research student, I appreciated the support from the university from day one. The induction was very clear and informative, and there were also a series of events about funding and other academic supports afterwards.

Irish culture is friendly, Galway is tiny and lovely.
