Architecture is the science of making buildings. Architects design buildings and supervise their construction .Buildings once were made of whatever materials were available. Where forests grew, for example, people used wood. Where there were no trees, people used the earth itself. They dried mud in the sun to make bricks. Many years ago there were thousands of wild oryxes in the deserts of Arabia. By 1962 most of them had gone. There were only eleven oryxes left in the wild. The Arabian oryx had survived because they could run fast. But people had hunted them using fast cars and guns.
