Ekonomili Göztepeliler Kulübü, İEÜ’de Gözte-peli öğrenciler tarafından kuruldu. Üniversitedeki

Göztepelileri bir araya getirmek, sosyal etkinlikler yapmak ve sosyal sorumluluk projeleri gerçekleştirmek amacıyla kurulan kulüpte, 60 üye-den 40’ı aktif olarak çalışıyor. Kulüp ayrıca , 20 Nisan 2002 yılında Göztepeli üniversiteliler tarafından kurulan Göztepe Uniforce’a bağlı olarak çalışmalarını yürütüyor.

Şanlıurfa’ya kıyafet yardımı Kulüp üyeleri, Göztepeli arkadaşları Büşra Arslan’ın Haliliye Terzi İlk/orta okulu’na sınıf öğretmenliğine atanması ve oradaki öğrencilerin durumundan bahsetmesi üzerine projeye başlamaya karar verdiler. Önce kendi aralarında atkı, şapka, kaban, ayakkabı gibi eşyaları toplayıp göndermeyi planlayan Göztepeliler daha sonra Uniforce’a bağlı bir kulüp olarak daha iyi şeyler yapabilcekle-rine inanarak projeye ilk adımlarını attılar. Öncelikle Okul Müdürü Osman Çiçek ile iletişime geçen kulüp üyeleri, Çiçek’ten öğrencilerin fotoğraflarını ve sınıf listelerini göndermesini istediler. Okulda yardıma ihtiyacı olan çok sayıda öğrenci olduğunu gören kulüp üyeleri, projeyi genişletmeye ve üniversite dışında da yaymaya karar verdiler Projenin geçen 25 Kasım’da resmi olarak başladığını söyleyen kulüp üyesi Ezgi Yaparsoy, proje süreci içinde Göztepe kulübü başkanı Mehmet Sepil’in kargo sponsoru olduğundan, Yeni Sistemli Koleji sahibi Meral Güler’in ayakkabı sponsoru olduğundan ve birçok öğrenci ve sınıf annele-rinden geri bildirimler ve yardımlar aldığından bahsetti. Ayrıca, sosyal medya üzerinden geniş kitlelere ulaşmak amaçlı afiş yayınladıklarını söyleyen Yaparsoy, “afişi gören insanların sadece Urfa ve Göztepe yazısına dikkat çekip deplasmana gittiğimizi düşünmeleri üzerine panik yaşadık ve bunun yardım kampanyası olduğunu duyurmaya çalıştık”dedi. “Neden İzmir değil Urfa” diye tepkiler de aldığını belirten Yaparsoy, “İzmir’de çalışmalar yapmak öncelik sıramızda, fakat bir yakınımızın böyle bir taleple gelmesi üzerine dayanamadık” dedi.

Urfalılardan TepkiEkonomili Göztepeliler’e bir tepki de Urfalılar’dan geldi. Urfa.com’da yer alan haberde, kampanyada kullanılmış veya az kullanılmış çorap, mont, kazak gibi kıyafetlerin toplandığı, 500 bin Suriyeliye kucak açan Urfa halkının bu kampanyayı hakaret olarak gördü-ğü yazıldı. Yaparsoy, bu haber hakkında şunları söyledi; “Haberler bizi üzdü. Biz gelen yardım paketlerini teker teker açıp kontrol ettik. Kullanılmayacak durumda olanları Kızılay’a bağışladık. Zaten elimize geçenlerin çoğu yeni alınmış ya da çok kısa süreli kullanılmış, küçük geldiği ya da beğenilmediği için bağışlanmış eşyalardı. Ayrıca kullanılmış çorap kesinlikle bağışlamadık. Biz bu projeye sosyal sorumlu-luk adı altında başladık amacımız zor durumda olan öğrenci kardeşlerimize yardımcı olmaktı.” Kazak, mont, polar, şapka, bot, eldiven, atkı gibi eşyaların toplandığını ve yardımların ilk etapta İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi’ne geldiğini, sayım yapılarak paketlendiğini ve 25 Aralık’da Şanlıurfa’ya gönderilerek projenin sonlandırıl-dığını söyledi.

Aid to Urfa from Izmir The fans of the Göztepe Team Club of the IUE have started a clothing aid campaign to the students of the Şanlıurfa Haliliye Terzi Primary and Middle School. We have made an interview with a members of the club, Ezgi Yaparsoy

The club was founded in 2013 by the students of the IUE who are supporting Göztepe team. It is aimed to gather

the Göztepe fans in the university, run-ning social campaigns and organizing social activities. In addition to this, the club whose 40 members out of 60 are working actively, is also a member of Uniforce. Göztepe Uniforce is an outer stand community which was founded to raise the popularity of the Gözte-pe Team as well as to take part in the social projects.

The Clothing Aid to ŞanlıurfaThe members of the club had the idea of starting such a project when one of their friends, a Göztepe fan, has been appointed to Haliliye Terzi Primary School as a class teacher and realized the needs of the students there. In the beginning the club members collected some hats, scarves, shoes etc. However

then they had the idea to implicate the Uniforce to collect more items. Initially, they got in contact with the Director of the school Osman Çiçek and asked him to send the lists of the classes with the photographs of the students. As soon as the club members realized that the number of the students who are in need are in huge amount, Ezgi Yaparsoy, a member of the organization added that; the project which has been started officially on 25th November has a numerious sponsors such as The Chair of the Göztepe Football Team handling the cargo issues, Meral Güler the director of the Yeni Sistemli High School handling the shoes. She also reported that there might have been some misunderstanding after the information on boards was 'Göztepe and Urfa' causing people to think as if the team is going on an away game however the aim was

to taking attention to the project. Now, it has been clarified as the aid cam-pain project to Urfa. "Some reactions have been made about 'why Urfa, not İzmir’ but İzmir is also in our list" she reported.

Reactions from the people in UrfaAnother reaction has come from the peop-le of Urfa. According to the news reported in Urfa.com the campaign has been taken as an insult as the items of clothing are not brand new -they were either second-hand or worn-out clothes. Regarding this Ezgi Yaparsoy said: "The news have made us terribly upset. The aid packs have been opened and checked before they were sent to the school. The clothes that have been donated are either just purchaised or shortly used –the other ones that can not be sent are donated to Kızılay. The only aim was to help the children in need."

Sırbistan Fahri Konsolosu ve İEÜ Müte-velli Heyeti Başkan Yardımcısı Metin Akdurak, Sırbistan’a ziyaret gerçekleş-tirdi. Ziyareti esnasında Tesla Bilim

Vakfı ile görüşmeler yapan Akdurak, vakfın Türkiye’ye Nikola Tesla büstü armağan etmek istediğini öğrendi. Yapılan görüşmeler sonucu, Türkiye Elektirik Mühendisleri Odası aracı-lığıyla büst Sırbistan’dan Türkiye’ye getirildi ve İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi’ne bağışlandı. C Blok 2. kat girişine konulan büstün açılışı 24 Kasım’da yapıldı. Açılışa, İEÜ Mütevelli Heyet Başkanı Ekrem Demirtaş, Sırbistan Cumhuriyeti İstanbul Başkon-solosu Zoran Markovic, Tesla Bilim Vakfı Direktörü Milan Knezevic, Sırbistan Cumhuriyeti İzmir Fahri Konsolosu ve İEÜ Mütevelli Heyet Başkan Yardımcısı Metin Akdurak, İEÜ Rektörü Prof. Dr. Oğuz Esen, İEÜ Mütevelli Heyet üyeleri, konuklar ve öğrenciler katıldı. duyduklarında mütevelli heyet makamı üyeleri ve üniversite idaresi olarak çok mutlu olduklarını belirten Kayıcan, büs-tün üniversiteye kabul edilmesi ve önemi hakkında şunları söyledi: “Nikola Tesla bilimde çığır açmış birisi ve üniversitemiz teknolojiye çok önem veren, gün geçtikçe teknoloji odaklı eğitime katkılar sağlayan bir üniversite. Son senelerde üniversite yö-netimi teknolojiyle ilgili çeşitli girişimler-de bulundu. Teslabunu destekleyen bakış açısına sahip bir bilim adamı olduğu için üniversite yönetimi büstü memnuniyetle kabul etti.

Tesla Kimdir?Dünya çapında bilim ve teknolojiye önem-li katkı sağlayan deneylere imzasını atan bilim adamı Nikola Tesla, 1856 yılında Hırvatistan’da doğdu. ABD’li mucit 1884 yılında Thomas Edison ile birlikte çalışma-ya başladı. Edison, elektiriğin dağıtımı için kullandığı sistemi Tesla’dan aldı. 20 adet ampülü kablo olmadan 25 mil uzak-tan yakabildiği kayıtlara geçen Tesla’nın en önemli projesi, kablosuz enerji iletimi-dir. Bunların dışında, Tesla’nın fl oresan lamba, hızölçer, elektron mikroskobu ve mikrodalga fırını gibi birçok icadı vardır.

Consular agent of Serbia and IUE Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Metin Akdurak, visited Serbia.

Akdurak, who had made interviews with the Tesla Science Foundation while the visit learned that the bust will be granted by the institution. As the result of meetings, the bust was brought to Turkey by favor of Tur-key Chamber of Electrical Engineer and it was gifted to IUE. The bust placed in the entry of C Block in the second f loor was opened in November 24th, 2015. Ekrem Demirtaş, Istan-bul Consul General of the Republic of Serbia Zoran Markovic, the Tesla Science Foundation Manager Milan Knezevic, Izmir Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Serbia, IUE Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees Metin Akdurak, IUE Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Esen, IUE members of board of trustess, guests and students participa-ted to the opening event. IUE Student and Institutional Activities Manager Mine Kayıcan said that they placed the bust in the entrance of C Block where is crowded most due to that they

wanted to raise awareness and draw attention. Kayıcan stated that they were glad when the bust was granted to IUE and said “Nikola Tesla is the pioneer of science. IUE values tech-nology and contributes to education based on technology. In recent years, IUE administrationhas made various efforts related to technology. IUE ad-ministration gladly accepted the bust as Tesla is a scientist supporting this perspective.

Who is Tesla?Nikola Tesla is a scientist who cont-ributed to science and technology with worldwide experiments. He was born in Croatia, 1856. United States citizen innovator began to work with Thomas Edison in 1884. Edison took the system that he used for electric dispersion from Tesla. Wireless elect-ricity is the most signif icant project of Tesla who lighted 20 bulbs without wires from 25 miles. Besides these, Tesla invented many inventions like f luorescent light, speedometer, elect-ron microscope and microwave oven.

“Dip” hakkında her şey Everything about “Dip”

Üniversitemiz öğrencisi Medya ve İletişim bölümü öğrencisi Serhan Çiner ile İzmir Kısa Film Festivali’nde yer alan “Dip” adlı kısa filmi ve geleceği hakkında söyleşi gerçekleştirdik.

“Dip’’ filmini çekmeye nasıl karar verdiniz?Dip başlangıçta bir okul projesi olarak tasarlanmıştı. O dönem bize verilen kısa bir edebi eser üzerinden uyarlama yapmamız yönündeydi. Rus edebiyatındaki en sevdiğim eserlerden biri olan Dostoyevski’nin Yeraltından Notlar kitabına ilişkin bir sunum gerçekleştirdim. 12 kişilik bir opsiyon olarak dönem sonunda 3 proje seçilecek ve projelerin çekimi gerçekleştirilecekti. O dönemde Rusya’da yaşamış bir karakteri alıp, yazarın hikaye diline sadık kalmaya çalışarak o karakteri 2015 Türkiye'sine yerleştirdim. Bu noktada dikkat etmem gereken konu özellikle sosyolojik faktörlerdi. Senaryo seçildikten son-ra ise sıra çekime gelmişti. Senaryo üzerinde bazı ince düzenlemeler yaptık. Oyuncu seçimi gibi konulara oldukça özen gösterdik ve dört yapım ortağı olarak hazırlık sürecine giriştik.

“Dip’’ kısa metraj bir film, hiç uzun metraj bir film olarak düşündünüz mü?Sinema alanında yaptığım çalışmaların genelinde çoğu genç sinemacı gibi göz ardı ettiğimiz bir nokta olmuştu; o da bir kısa metraj film senaryosu oluştururken ya da filmin çekimini gerçekleştirirken uzun metraj mantığından uzak durmak. Bu konuya dik-kat edilmeyen filmlerde yaşanılan en büyük sıkıntı süre ve o süre içerisinde anlatılmaya çalışılan hikayede oluşan eksiklik duygusu. Uzun metraj bir film çekmenin maliyeti oldukça yüksek burada gerek prodüksiyon de-ğerleri gerekse ekip gibi bir çok parametre var. Kısacası, cevabım hayır. Bunun için önümde uzun bir yol olduğunu düşünüyorum.

Çekimler ne kadar sürdü ve nerelerde yapıldı?Ekip olarak, her zaman şu motivasyon-la hareket ediyorduk: Bir öğrenci filmi çekeceksek bunu olabildiğince profesyonel bir takım ruhu ile yapabilmek, bu anlamda teorik planlarımıza oldukça sadık kal-dık. Teslim tarihimiz sebebiyle sıkışık bir çalışma takvimimiz vardı. Bu doğrultuda senaryonun bitmiş halini yaklaşık bir ayda tamamladım. Sonrasında, deneme çekim-leri, ekip kurulumu ve mekan tercihleri gibi çalışmaları da neredeyse bir aylık bir süreçte tamamladık. Çıkardığımız çekim planı bu filmi beş günde çekmemiz gerektiğini göste-riyordu. Daha önceki çalışma prensiplerime de sadık kalarak bunu ekibin birbirinden hiç ayrılmadığı beş günlük bir çalışmayla tamamladık. Disiplinli bir çalışma sonu-cu, 5+1 günlük süreçte çekimlerimiz bitti. Çekimler, Karşıyaka, Alsancak ve Çiğli’de gerçekleşti. Bunun sebebi operasyonel açıdan kontrolümüz altında tutabileceğimiz yerlerde çalışma isteğimizdi. Bir sene önceki proje olan "Muavin" filminde Manisa, Salihli’de oldukça kontrol dışı bir alanda çekim yaptı-

ğımızı düşünürsek, "Dip" filminin çekimle-rinde daha güvende hissettik.

Çekimler sırasında ne gibi sorunlarla karşılaştınız ve çözümleriniz nasıl oldu?Film çekmek oldukça kolektif bir çalışmayı gerektirir, bu gerçekleşmediği taktirde bireysel yetenekler yavaş yavaş önemini yitirir. Çalı-şacak kişilerin ekip içerisinde doğru konum-landırılması, motivasyonlarının sağlanması ve oldukça profesyonel koşullar hata riskini minimuma indiriyor. Ön hazırlık ve çekim sürecinde birçok sorunla karşılaştık. "Dip" filmi kamera arkası, oyuncular ve figüran-lar dahil aşağı yukarı 25 kişilik bir ekibin çalıştığı bir projeydi. Bu noktada sorun yaratabilecek en belirgin faktöründe insan olduğunu unutmamak gerekir. Örneğin, bir akşam gerçekleştirmemiz gereken sokak sahnesi hazırken, oyuncularımızdan birinden gelen telefon ile kaza geçirdiğini ve karakolda olduğunu öğrendik. Sonrasında şanslıyız ki oyuncumuz geç saatte bile olsa sete geldi. Bu tarz aksilikler yaşanabileceği için titiz şekilde çıkarılacak bir çekim programı büyük önem taşıyor. Bir diğer konu ise ekip içerisinde oluşabilecek tartışmalar. Çünkü bu gerçekten stresli bir iş. Burada da önemli olan yönet-menin olabildiğince soğuk kanlı hareket edebilmesi.

Filmin bütçesini nasıl sağladınız? Sağladığınız bütçe filmdeki oyuncu seçimlerinizde bir farklılık yarattı mı?Öğrenci filminde en çok dikkat edilmesi gereken hususlardan biri de bütçe meselesi. Ne yazık ki, özellikle ülkemizde popülist yaklaşımlardan uzak, sanatsal altyapılı filmlere bütçe sağlamak büyük sıkıntı. Bu konuda sinemacıların bulabildiği en bü-yük destek Kültür Bakanlığı'nın sağladığı fonlar ve günümüzde yavaş yavaş artmakta olan bazı özel hibeler. Yine de çekmeyi planladığınız her film ile ilgili olarak bu fonlara başvuru şansınız olmayabiliyor. Bu, kimi zaman senaryonuzun yeterince başarılı bulunmamasından ya da içinde bulunduğunuz süreçten kaynaklı olabi-liyor. Kendi adıma şu ana kadar hiç bu fonlara bir başvuru yapma şansım olmadı.

How did you decide to make this film?At first the film "Dip" was imagined to be school project. It would only be an adaptation from a literary excerpt. I made a presentation about one of my favourite novels – Notes from Underground by Dostoyevski from the Russian Lite-rature. 3 projects as an option of 12 people would have been chosen to be made f ilms. Remaining true to the language of the novel; I took one of the characters from that era and sited him in 2015 Turkey. The main factors were the sociological aspects. After choosing the scenario, it was high time to make the f ilm. We made some renovations and correcting on the scenario and care much about choo-sing the cast. Finally our preparation period started for the four producers.

"Dip" is a short f ilm, have you ever thought of it as a long format?While I have been searching in the f ield of cinema there was a point which all young movie makers ignore; keeping your mind away from the long f ilm logic whilst making a short f ilm. The problems with these kind of f ilms, are the time and the absent fee-ling which is supposed to be presented in such a short time. In addition to this, it is a great cost to make a long film, the parameters such as production and team; in short my answer is no. I think, I have a long path to go.

How long have you been making the film?As being the team we always have a motto like this: To make the film with the spirit of a professional team as much as it can be. We had a busy schedule concerning the due for this reason I complete the scenario in a month time. Later on, trials, organization of the team and location options are comp-leted also in a month. The scheduled period to make the film was of five days and finally my team and I completed

it non-stop in five days in a disciplined way. The shots took place in Karşıyaka, Al-sancak and in Çiğli. That was because we wanted to take the control in an operational way. Because, just a year ago we tried to do another project "Muavin" in Manisa, Salihli which caused a great out-of-control feeling. But during the shots of ‘Dip’ we felt the feeling of control.

What kind of obstacles have you faced during the shoting?Making a film greatly de-mands a collective hard work. If that does not occur, indivi-dual talents begin to fade. In order to minimize the failure risk, one should nominate

the team member in the right position, motivate everyone, arranging professio-nal conditions. We had many problems in the preparation and the shot period. The "Dip" Film is consisted of a team 25 people, including the act, behind-the-scenes staff and studio audience. At this point of view, the main problem/obstacle is the humanbeing itself. To illustrate this, while preparing a shot in a street, a member of the act may call you up informing that he is in a station due to a car-accident. Luckily, he arri-ved after a while. Another obstacle is the relations among the people in the cast. There may occur some discussions because of stress. A good and a capable director should handle these obstacles calm down.

What about the budget? Did the budget inf luence you while forming the cast?One of the most important things is the budget. Unfortunately, getting a support to a f ilm which is much more artistic rather than a populist f ilm, is really hard. The most effective support is supplied by the Ministry of Culture and a few special grants which have been increased nowadays. However, you may not have a chance to apply for these for the films that you plan to make. It may just because of the scenario or simply the duration that you need. Personally, I did not have a chance to apply none of these grants. As a matter of fact, even the professional film makers may not have the opportunity to get the grant for making a short film. We over-come this problem by using our personal contacts, the equipments supplied by our university and spending minimum cost fort he the location options. About the casting, it was not a disadvantage at all. As the cast is aware of the fact that the payment issues of the sector is quite low, they do not demand any for these kinds of projects.

Pınar Öğünç 25 Aralık saat 11.00'de İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi'nin konuğu oldu. Öğünç, tecrübelerin-den bahsederek İletişim Fakültesi

öğrencilerinin sorularını yanıtladı. Konuş-masında kendi döneminde yayın hayatının nasıl olduğu konusunda bilgilere yer verdi. Medya ve İletişim Bölümü Haber Opsiyonu öğrencilerine yaptıkları söyleşilerde özgün sorular sorabilmeleri için kendi tekniklerinden bahsederken, Türkiye'de gazeteciliğin zor-luklarına ve haber dilinin önemine değindi. Söyleşi ve röportaj arasındaki farkı vurgulayan Öğünç, röportajlarda insan hikayelerine yer vermek gerektiğini vurguladı. Kendisine yö-

neltilen "Günlük gazetede çalışırken her gün bu kadar güncel haberi nasıl bulacağız?" so-rusunu cevaplarken, bir gazetecinin kendi bakış açısına sahip olması ve çevrede olup biten olayların hangilerinin haber değeri taşıdığını bilmesi gerektiğini söyledi. Jet Rejisör Çetin İnanç, İnce İş ve Asker Doğmayanlar adlı üç kitabı bulunan Öğünç, Hrant Dink Vakfı Yayınevi'nden çıkan Asker Doğmayanlar kitabı üzeri-ne de konuştu. Kitabında, Türkiye gibi askerliğin doğuştan geldiği kabul edilen bir ülkede zorunlu askerliği reddeden on dört vicdani retçiyle yaptığı söyleşilere yer veren Öğünç, kitabını kaleme alma süre-cinden bahsetti ve bu süreçte kullandığı teknikleri öğrencilerle paylaştı.

The fashion Show named as “Défilé 15” which was pre-pared by the IUE students of the Fashion and Textile

Design Department, took place in Agora on 25th December at 18.00 hrs. The fashion show which was organized by the academic staff of the department of Textile and Design, started by the plenary speech of the Fashion and Textile Design Department Dean Dr.Ender Yazgan and gave a chance to the students to present 85 creations of 40 students. In the first

part of the show, the thematic presenta-tion "Repeating Time" was presented. The second part of the show which was named as "the Pearl of the Aegean" started at 20.00 hrs. consisted of the thematic creations and some iconic collections of Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix. Then, the collection "Alice İn Wonderland" took place. The show which had an audience of Ekrem Demirtaş, the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Oğuz Esen the president, fashion designers and attendee was very much appreciated.

Pınar Öğünç was the guest of İzmir University of Economics at 11.00 on December 25 th. Öğünç shared her own experiences with the students at

the Faculty of Communication and answered their questions. Working as a journalist, she talked about the atmosphere in press. She also gave advice to the students from Newsmaking Option field at the Department of Media and Communications by sharing her own techni-ques on how to ask distinctive questions for interviews, and mentioned the difficulties of being a journalist in Turkey and the importan-ce of the news writing style as well. Emphasi-zing the difference between a conversation and an interview, she pointed out that the persons’ stories need to be covered in interviews. While

she was answering the question ‘How can we find so many current news every day when working at a daily newspaper?’ she said that a journalist needs to have their own point of view and should know what is newsworthy among what is going on around. Having written her 3 books ‘Jet Rejisör Çetin İnanç’, ‘İnce İş’ and ‘Asker Doğmayanlar’, she also talked about her book ‘Asker Doğmayanlar’, published by Hrant Dink Foundation Publishing House. In her book she included the interviews she had with 14 conscientious objectors against the compul-sory military service in a country like Turkey, where there is a belief that being a soldier is a natural characteristic. She also told the process she was writing the book and shared the tech-niques she used then with the students.

The meeting where the members of the Student Council and Ekrem Demirtaş, the Chair-man of the Board of Trustees

came together took place on December 20th in the meeting room of the Board. The students asked their questions on the langu-age/style used in the banners posted around the university, the budget for the Spring Fest and the student clubs. Rejecting the students’

requests due to the reason that new buildings are being constructed, Ekrem Demirtaş exp-ressed that the new building of the Faculty of Medicine will be put into service next year, and the field next to the main campus of the University has been rented for 20 years to be used as the parking lot. The members of the Student Council and Ekrem Demirtaş had their commemorative photo taken after the meeting.
