JUDGE MOYE ANSWERS - 2016 STONEWALL DEMOCRATSQUESTIONNAIRE
1. Why are you seeking the endorsement from Stonewall Democrats
of Dallas?
I seek the endorsement of any individual or group which advances
the cause of Equality for all. Stonewall has endorsed me in each of
my past two races, and this support has been instrumental in my
winning the election.
2. What are your plans to participate in a coordinated campaign in
the general election?
I shall participate in the coordinated campaigning support the entire
ticket

3. Will you use the Stonewall Democrats of Dallas endorsement in
or on:
a) your website
b) your campaign literature and mailers
c) your social media assets (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
d) your campaign advertisements

4. When elected, how will you recruit, retain, and create a friendly
environment for LGBT and LGBT-friendly staff?
Hopefully, my reputation indicates that my Court maintains an environment which isnot only non-discriminatorybut friendly to members of the LGBT community. I willensure that all positions are made known throughout the community, and I shallmake clear that members of this community are welcome to apply.
5. Would you be willing to appoint a liaison to meet with the LGBT
community on a ongoing basis? If not, why?
I believe that ethically, a Court should not have a liaison to any
community who speaks to that Court.
6. Understanding that administrative matters can take up a
significant percentage of your work day, what are some ideas for
policies or procedures that you think you can improve court
operations for the court which you are seeking office? What are the
most important policies or procedures you've identified as needing
improvement?
My staff runs an incredibly efficient Court, as evidenced by the fact that we have hadthe fewest number of active cases over the past five years. I need to leave the staff alone, lest I mess this up.

7. How would you handle a situation in which you or an employee
under you felt the need to not fulfill all your lawful work duties due to
“deeply held religious beliefs”?
I would resign if I could not abide by the Oath to follow the laws of the
Unites States and the State of Texas. I would terminate any employe who
refused to fulfill lawful work duties, regardless of the reason.
