Jaisalmer: With the aim of

creating a green corridor in Bharatpur-Kota rail section, railways will commission a 2

!W wind mill plant in Jaisalmer in "a#asthan tomorrow$

"ailways, one of the biggest consumers of energy, has set up the wind mill plant in "a#asthan

to generate %& million units of electricity per year$

'he electricity generated from the plant will be utilised for powering three traction

substations ( Bharatpur, )indaun and "amgan# !andi in Bharatpur-Kota section of *elhi-

!umbai trun+ route which will now be the first railway green corridor, said a senior "ailway

!inistry official$

'he pro#ect, the biggest renewable energy initiatie by the national transporter, is being set up

at an estimated cost of about "s %& crore$

electricity since its commission$

on fossil fuel can be reduced$
