The True +ntention of Nichiren - Part 2

Nichiren has been clai#ing the "hi)a =a)ugen ''()*( criticiing other 4uddhist sects that all otherteachings were e*il leading to no-attain#ent. The True +ntention of Nichiren - Part  Nichiren told his two disci%les that he res%ects 4uddha a great deal but #oreo*er he res%ects his #otherland<a%an.  Nichiren )new that his food was %oisoned but he did not sto% eating. He felt that it was his wa& of re%entancetowards #an& of his disci%les who had been )illed through the act of %ro%agation. 8ntil the end of his ti#ehe thought #ore for his disci%les and the nation than his own life.

Nichiren had written three #andalas with ,#aterasu-ho#i)a#i in the center and a %ronounce#ent for his belief in ,#aterasu-ho#i)a#i. 4ut after his death the disci%les had burned the# all lea*ing no trace.

The two disci%les continued to de*elo% the 4uddhist sect. Howe*er later the two had so#e disagree#entsand decided to #a)e two different %aths. 7*en after the se%aration the& were constantl& in fear about the factthat the& )illed the founder and erased the docu#ents with his true intention. Fro# this fear the& strictl&

%rohibited their followers to *isit a "hinto shrine.

The god s%irit who had gi*en #e this infor#ation clearl& #entioned the disci%lesI na#es but + had decidednot to re*eal it. 4ut + can sa& that what the& did at that ti#e still reflect on their descendents or followers oftoda&.

NichirenIs grand goal through the teachings of Ho))e)&o was to lead the nation to reconnect with the "un.

+ sincerel& wish that the successful religious sects of toda& who are the followers of Nichiren would ha*e thechance to read this to )now the truth of NichirenIs intention and to follow it. To ac)owledge the fact that

Nichiren had *isited +se <ingu for a hundred da&s before he began his %ro%agation and the fact that he hadwritten the na#e of the sun goddess in the center of his hand #ade #andala.
