YSC20UB RF Data Transceiver
YSC20 series Low power RF modules design for professional UART data transmission, embedded ISM wireless solution in short range. YSC20 adapts Texas Instruments (Chipcon) CC1020 RF IC and Philips MCU , works on ISM frequency band, half duplex integrated receiving and transmitting. Modules could directly connect with monolithic processors, PC, RS485 devices, and other UART components with RS232, RS485 and UART/TTL level interface port. Transparent data interface, nakedness, and wide temperature design handles most industrial application though indoor/outdoor environments.

6.Timing Diagram 1. Transmission Delay When module A send data to module B by wireless, there is a delay for 15bytes, the time is related with air baud rate.

1200 120 2. Module will switch tx & rx automatically, delay time of conversion between transmitting and receiving is 100uS.
7. Sleep function Sleep status only takes 10UB current. If the Sleep pin (No.5) continuously connects low level (>200millisecond), the module will be in sleep status, modules can not receive or transmit any data when sleep. Only when the Sleep pin set in the state of high level (VH<3.5V) or hangs/empty, module can be in receiving status again. The delay time for conversion between sleeping and receiving is less than 150mS.

Channel 6 is default value for 433MHz modules; Channel 2 is for 868MHz modules, channel1 for 915MHz. User can change or view the module’s parameter setting (interface baud rate and channel) by Command or testing software “YSPRG.EXE” in the CD (Free).

10. Data package When the interface baud rate is less than or equal to the air effective baud rate, YS RF modules could send unlimited length packets theoretically. We does not recommend sending one long data packets, the proposed length of each packet data between the 60 ~ 100B, better not more than 120B. We also suggest use program ARQ for error retransmission data packets. When the serial rate is greater than the air rate, module could transmit 150bytes, the redundant data will saved in module's RAM temporarily.
11. Antenna configuration Match with 50Ω, 1/4wave antenna, A0# is standard and free, other type antenna needs extra charge.
Standard package: one module+ A0# Helical SMA antenna+ L0# 9pin line
Notes: Modules can share DC power supply with other equipment, Ensure the supply is stable (ideally <10mVpk ripple). Keep the module away from other EMF generating components. High mount antenna as close to the module as possible. Set antenna more than 2meters above ground in open area to reach optimal range.
