“7 días en La Habana” es una instantánea de La Habana actual: un retrato contemporáneo de una ciudad ecléctica y vital, compuesto por siete capítulos dirigidos por Benicio del Toro, Pablo Trapero, Julio Medem, Elia Suleiman, Gaspar Noé, Juan Carlos Tabío y Laurent Cantet. Cada director, a través de su sensibilidad, origen y estilo cinematográfico, ha sabido capturar la energía y la vitalidad que convierten la ciudad en única. Algunos han preferido plasmar la realidad cubana durante su vida cotidiana desde el punto de vista del extranjero sin referencias familiares. Otros se han inclinado por una inmersión total y se han inspirado en la vida de la población local. Cada capítulo cuenta un día de la semana a través de la vida diaria y extraordinaria de personajes diferentes. Alejándose de los habituales lugares comunes, “7 días en La Habana” quiere expresar el alma de la ciudad penetrando en los barrios, los diferentes ambientes, generaciones y culturas. All seven stories have independent plots, but the connections between them create a powerful dramatic unity. Juanin's boss and the rest of the TV station's wacky gang, embark on a voyage to rescue their co-worker. A lo largo de la primera mitad del siglo XX, miles de mujeres salieron solas de Galicia hacia América. Muchas de ellas eran ilegales, con papeles que falsificaban su edad e incluso su identidad. Historias ordinarias como la de Merce, destinada a servir y, de la noche a la mañana, despedida. Sin lugar al que ir ni nadie a quien acudir, Merce pasa tres días y tres noches en la Estación Constitución donde su vida se enlaza con la de otras emigrantes. A la par de un trabajo en la fábrica Mil8, Merce se casa, asiste a clases de contabilidad en alguna de las Sociedades Gallegas y un día la norma se hace añicos por algo tan simple como quedar prendada de una situación que no sabe nombrar.

Throughout the first half of the 20th century, thousands of women left Galicia alone to go to America. Many of them were illegal, carrying on documents that forged their age and even their identity. Common stories as Merce's, set aside for going into service, and from night to morning, dismissed. With nowhere to go or no one to ask for help, Merce spends three days and three nights at the Constitution Station (Estación Constitución) where her life is linked to other emigrants' lives. 'A paixón de María Soliña' es un largometraje de corte histórico que describe el nacimiento, la estructura organizativa y la función del tribunal de la Inquisición Española a través del proceso contra María Soliña en Galicia a principios del siglo XVII. Se narra la crónica de los hechos haciendo hincapié en las motivaciones históricas y sociales que había detrás de las acusaciones de brujería de aquellos tiempos. María Soliña es uno de los personajes legendarios de la cultura gallega que mejor define la lucha contra la adversidad y la represión del poder. Su historia resume a la perfección la persecución a la que se vieron sometidas muchas mujeres, no solo en Galicia sino también en toda Europa, acusadas de brujería y juzgadas por el Tribunal de la Inquisición. María Soliña se convirtió en un icono de la cultura gallega, su historia fue transmitida de manera oral para ser tratada a lo largo de todos estes años por numerosos artistas e historiadores hasta convertirla en una nueva Juana de Arco.

The inhabitants of a small village lost in the woodlands between Galicia and Portugal live and work in a quiet routine. From time to time, brief conversations arise amongst them. La mente de Quique, un antiguo director de cine fracasado, está perdida. Quique se desorienta, confunde entre verdad y ficción e incluso reinventa la realidad con excesiva frecuencia. Por ello se instalan junto a él, para ayudarle, su hermana Marta, actriz de escaso éxito, y el enfermero Amador. A partir de entonces, ellos dos presenciarán la descomposición de un creador en donde, como un engranaje que va perdiendo piezas, irá dejando de funcionar. Poco a poco, las filias y las fobias de Quique, así como sus propios fantasmas y los recuerdos de los propios personajes de sus películas, se apoderan de su cordura para integrarse en su vida cotidiana. Pese a los cuidados, la confusión de Quique se acelera y él, feliz, se entrega a la idea ficticia de un cercano homenaje. Aun así, todos encontrarán la suficiente inspiración que dé sentido a sus vidas; Marta, inmersa en la producción de un nuevo montaje teatral y el errático Amador, incapaz de asentarse emocionalmente, servirán de guía a un inverso camino hacia la luz que ayude a Quique a completar su sueño en mitad de las sombras.

50 años antes de Cristo. (Français) 50 avant Jésus Christ. César a soif de conquêtes. A la tête de ses glorieuses légions il décide d'envahir cette île située aux limites du monde connu, ce pays mystérieux appelé Brittania, la Bretagne. La victoire est rapide et totale. Enfin... presque. Un petit village breton parvient à lui résister, mais ses forces faiblissent. Cordelia, la reine des Bretons, décide donc d'envoyer son plus fidèle officier, Jolitorax, chercher de l’aide en Gaule, auprès d’un autre petit village, connu pour son opiniâtre résistance aux Romains… Dans le village gaulois en question, Astérix et Obélix sont déjà bien occupés. Le chef leur a en effet confié son neveu Goudurix, une jeune tête à claques fraîchement débarquée de Lutèce, dont ils sont censés faire un homme. Et c'est loin d'être gagné. Quand Jolitorax arrive pour demander de l'aide, on décide de lui confier un tonneau de potion magique, et de le faire escorter par Astérix et Obélix, mais aussi Goudurix, car ce voyage semble une excellente occasion pour parfaire son éducation. Malheureusement, rien ne va se passer comme prévu...

Invierno de 1955. El general Perón, exiliado en Panamá tras ser derrocado como presidente de Argentina por un golpe militar, se encuentra en una situación económica de absoluta precariedad. Uno de sus ayudantes propone empeñar la extraordinaria colección de joyas de Evita, muerta unos años atrás. Pero debe hacerse sin que el general lo sepa porque jamás autorizaría deshacerse de ellas: para Perón son un talismán. El ayudante viaja a Madrid y consigue empeñarlas secretamente en una prestigiosa joyería de la ciudad. Pero un hecho fortuito pone en peligro la custodia de las legendarias joyas y, alertados los peronistas, con el fin de recuperarlas organizan un atraco. Uno de los atracos más demenciales de la historia del crimen.

Ceret, 1911. Pablo (Picasso) y Georges (Braque) están pintando codo con codo en una casa solariega en compañía de Manolo (Hugué) y Fernande (Olivier), la amante de Pablo. La noticia que en primera plana muestra el Paris-Journal les hace estallar de risa: "LA GIOCONDA HA SIDO ROBADA DEL LOUVRE". Pero la siguiente noticia, un telegrama en clave firmado por su amigo Guillaume (Apollinaire) les hiela la sangre: "EL BARÓN HA ROBADO EL CORAZÓN DE LA MADONNA ¡VOLVED". Unos años antes Guillaume había presentado a Pablo a un atlético joven cuya vida disoluta le había inspirado su obra Las aventuras del Barón d'Ormessan. El Barón, al enterarse de la fascinación que unas estatuas prerrománicas ejercían sobre Pablo, decidió robarlas y luego vendérselas a un precio ridículo. Aquellas estatuas serían la inspiración del primer cuadro cubista, Las señoritas de Avignon. Un enloquecido Guillaume le cuenta cómo el Barón, animado por el ejemplo de las estatuas, ha decidido robar algo más: La Gioconda, por ejemplo. Pablo es español, Guillaume, polaco, y el Barón belga. Y la prensa habla de una "banda internacional llegada a Francia para desvalijar nuestros museos". ¿Qué hacer? ¿Huir del país? ¿Encontrar al Barón? ¿Lanzar las estatuas incriminatorias al Sena?

En el otoño de 2011 un equipo de rodaje viaja al recóndito valle de Baztán para hacer una película sobre unos oscuros hechos que ocurrieron a principios del siglo XVII. Mientras ruedan y comparten vidas con los vecinos - algunos de ellos actores en la película - descubrirán una discriminación racial que sigue presente en la vida del valle después de más de diez siglos. Esta es una historia de personas y personajes, como Joxe, un hombre joven que se rebela contra la discriminación hacia él y sus antepasados, por ser Agotes.

In the fall of 2011 a film crew moves into the secluded valley of Baztán to make a film about some dark hidden events that took place in early seventeenth century. While filming the movie and sharing life on a daily basis – some actors in the movie - they discover that racial discrimination is still present in the life of the valley after for more than ten centuries... (Français) En automne 2011 une équipe de cinéma a déménagédans la vallée retirée du Baztán pour faire un film à propos de quelque sé vènements sombres et cachés qui se sont déroulé sau début du 17ème siècle. Pendant le tournage du film, certains acteurs du film ont partagéleur vie avec les habitants tous les jours. Il sont découvert que même après dix siècles, la discrimination existe encoredans la vallée. Ceci est l’histoire de personnes comme Joxe, un jeune homme qui s'oppose au racisme qui a fait tant souffrir ses ancêtres, qui étaient Agotes.

Blackie, the black sheep, is the terror of the farm. She is obsessed with going to the moon. Kanuto, the sheepdog, gets tangled up in her plans while failing to hide his love for her. They get swept away in an adventure where they meet a singing cow, a fashion designer wolf, illegal sewing spiders, a weird couple of exotic birds, and a peculiar pack of dogs, the 'Pastrinos', who have a rocket ready to launch. En 1936 estalla la guerra civil y las milicias anarquistas toman el poder en el Bajo Aragón. Xabi va al hospital a despedirse de su amiga María, que está a punto de morir por una cardiopatía incurable. Antes de entrar a verla se entera de que ella ha estado siempre secretamente enamorada de él, y se le ocurre la descabellada idea de decirle que él también, con la intención de “endulzar sus últimas horas”. María experimenta tal alegría que, contra todo pronóstico, supera la crisis. Xabi va a tener que seguir fingiendo, porque confesar la verdad sería matarla: los médicos avisan de que cualquier contrariedad romperá su corazón. Lo que no sabe nadie es que Xabi tiene novia y está embarazada. Xabi vivirá una doble vida, siempre al borde del precipicio.

Xabi visits the hospital to bid farewell to Maria, a friend on her deathbed due to an incurable heart condition. Before going in to see her, he discovers she's always been secretly in love with him, and comes up with the mad idea of saying that he feels the same in an effort to make "her last hours a little sweeter". Maria is so overjoyed that she makes a spectacular recovery. Xabi will have to continue pretending, because it would kill her to learn the truth: the doctors warn him that an upset would break her heart. What no-one knows is that Xabi already has a girlfriend who is expecting his baby. Xabi will lead double life, always on the edge of the precipice.
