Continuous innovation and rapid transformation have been themes throughoutAccenture's history. Established in 1989 primarily as a technology consultant

and systems integrator, Accenture soon began offering a new breed of business

integration solutions to clientssolutions that aligned organizations'

technologies, processes and people with their strategies.

Throughout its history, Accenture has expanded its offerings and capitalized onevolving management trends and technologies to benefit its clients. The company

pioneered systems integration and business integration; led the deployment of

enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management and electronic

services; and has established itself as a leader in today's global marketplace.

Joe W. Forehand, a partner with 30 years of

experience, was named CEO in November1999 and chairman of Accenture's board of

directors in February 2001. Under

Forehand's leadership, Accenture became a

public company in July 2001 when it listed on

the New York Stock Exchange. After nearlyfive years as CEO, Mr. Forehand stepped

down from that position on Sep. 1, 2004,

retaining the position of chairman. He was

succeeded as CEO by William D. Green, a

partner with more than 26 years of experience

at Accenture, who had previously served as

chief operating officer of client services.

Today Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and

outsourcing company, with net revenues of US$16.65 billion for the fiscal year

ended Aug. 31, 2006.

partners from the Consulting division of the

various Arthur Andersen firms around the world

formed a new organization focused on consultingand technology services related to managing large-

changed its name to Accenture

Since its inception in 1989, Accenture had operated as a group of locally owned

independent partnerships or other entities in more than 40 countries. (Accenture is and

has always been a global organization and has never operated under a U.S. holding

company structure.) By 2001, it became apparent to Accentures partners that maintaining

the organizations existing partnership structure would limit the companys ability to

continue its growth. Therefore, the partners, more than half of whom were from countries

other than the United States, decided to transition to corporate form, enabling Accenture

to build and acquire the necessary capital to remain competitive and fuel its growth.

In April 2001, Accentures partners voted overwhelmingly to pursue an initial public

offering, and Accenture became a public company on July 19, 2001, when it listed on the

New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ACN.

Today Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcingcompany, identifying new business and technology trends and developing solutions to help

clients around the world enter new markets, increase revenues in existing markets,

improve operational performance, and deliver their products and services more effectively

and efficiently.

Even as industry leaders point to an uncertainoutlook for IT Outsourcing for the rest of 2010,

Accenture moved quite rapidly in July 2010 to grow

its market share for the current year and beyond.

Within the month of July, the company has

announced the acquisition of a French business

processing company, the expansion of its operations

in the Philippine Islands and the securing of a majoroutsourcing deal in Bangalore, India.

Viewed separately, the actions appear to be

somewhat random; however, when viewed as parts ofthe whole it is clear that Accenture is lannin or
