Premessa generale.

La presente pubblicazione è destinata ai tecnici incaricati delle attività di nuova apertura ne-gozio nel caso di sistemi ActivePos o ActivePos Plus dotati di software gestionale Shoppy.

In particolare:

� Nuova apertura negozio = Attività finalizzata alla messa in servizio del nuovo

sistema (ActivePos o ActivePos Plus + Shoppy) in un negozio delle catene Calzedoniadi prossima apertura al pubblico.

Le attività di nuova apertura negozio sono riassunte all’interno di sei distinte tabelle (CheckingActivities Lists) ognuna delle quali raccoglie le specifiche attività richieste in funzione dell’hard-ware del sistema. Queste liste si pongono l’obiettivo di guidare il tecnico nello svolgimento dellapropria attività secondo una scaletta lavori già ampiamente collaudata sul campo.

All’interno di questa guida, oltre agli approfondimenti relativi alle attività presentate nelle CheckingActivities Lists, il tecnico troverà anche illustrati, dispositivo per dispositivo, le modalità di colle-gamento ed i tools disponibili per la verificazione e la configurazione delle varie componentihardware del sistema ActivePos (Plus).

Poiché questo documento ha lo scopo di supportare i tecnici indipendentemente dalle particola-rità che possono caratterizzare i diversi tipi di architettura ActivePos (lingua, fiscalità, moneta inuso, ecc.) all’interno della guida vengono presentate tutte le possibili variabili.Il tecnico dovrà riferirsi unicamente a quelle con le quali si troverà ad operare.

Si noti inoltre che le stampanti scontrino serie Zephyr, qualora presenti sul sistema, pur essendotutte uguali tra di loro a livello estetico, si differenziano in due macro famiglie:

� Zephyr (Plus) Fiscale = stampante fiscale vera e propria; utilizzata unica-

mente sul mercato italiano.

� Zephyr (Plus) NON Fiscale = semplice stampante scontrini s; utilizzata in tutte

quelle nazioni nelle quali non è definita una speci-fica normativa fiscale circa l’impiego degli stru-menti per l’emissione di scontrini di vendita.

This documentation has been written in order to give technicians the appropriate support for theactivity of new shop opening in case of computer systems based on ActivePos or ActivePos Plusdevices and software Shoppy.In particular:

� New shop opening = Activity aimed at starting up the new computer system

(ActivePos or ActivePoss Plus + Shoppy) in a shop of Calzedonia’s brands of nextopening.

The activities of new shop opening are summed up in six specific lists, (Checking Activities Lists)each of which summarizes the specific activities according to the system hardware and helptechnicians to perform their activities according to a plan already tested.

Inside this guide, for each activity, technicians will find the corresponding in depth - articles andfurthermore, device by device, technicians can also find explanations on how to use tools forchecking and configuring the various hardware components of the system.

There are several kinds of ActivePos system; this is due to the fact that, in some countries, thelocal fiscal law requires some specific hardware devices (fiscal printer or fiscal cash register). Inthis guide all kinds of devices are illustrated but technicians have to refer only to devices of theirown system.

In case of a ticket printer Zephyr series , please note that even if they seem to look alike, they aredivided into two macro families:

� Zephyr (Plus) Fiscal = fiscal printer usend only in Italy.

� Zephyr (Plus) NOT Fiscal = simple tickets printer (without any fiscal value)

used in all countries that have not a specific lawabout devices used to issue fiscal receipts.

Lastly, we remind you that this guide also includes a really useful appendix:

Appendix A It shows how the various devices of the computer system must be connected.

It also shows the details of the various control panel on the devices.

About how to place the various device on the system desk, please, seedocument code SER022.

Prima accensione del sistema.

Una volta verificata la correttezza dei vari collegamenti tra i dispositivi del sistema ed anche allarete elettrica, prima di accendere il sistema si dovrà controllare che:

� Se il sistema è dotato di stampante fiscale Fasy Zephyr series (fiscale o non fiscale)

l’interuttore della stampante dovrà essere in posizione HOST (vedere appendice A).

� Se il sistema è dotato di stampante fiscale Service Plus SP101FR-K la stampante dovrà

essere alimentata e quindi accesa (vedere appendice A).

� Se il sistema è dotato di stampante fiscale Fasy Shamal l’interuttore della stampante dovrà

essere in posizione centrale: non su ON ne su OFF (vedere appendice A).

� Se il sistema è dotato di stampante Custom Kube series (fiscale o non fiscale) bisognerà

verificare che la stampante sia accesa (led verde in posizione di ON sulla plancia comandi)e qualora non lo fosse bisognerà provvedere in tal senso attraverso l’apposito pulsante diaccensione (vedere appendice A).

� La stampante PC non dovrà essere accesa ed il suo cavo USB non dovrà essere connesso

alla porta USB # 4 del MiniPos o del FlatPos (vedere appendice A).

A questo punto, per accendere il sistema, sarà sufficente premere il pulsante di accensione postosulla plancia del MiniPos o del FlatPos (cerchietto verde - immagine 3-1).

Così facendo, tutti i dispositivi del sistema, stampante PC esclusa, si accenderanno istantanea-mente ed inizierà quindi il caricamento del sistema operativo sul PC.

Durante il caricamento del S.O. la prima schermata che apparirà sul monitor (VisiPos) è quellaindicata all’immagine 3-2.

Running the computer system for the first time.

Once you have checked carefully the connections among computer system devices and theelectricity main network; you have to check the following issues:

� If the system is equipped with a receipt printer Fasy Zephyr series (fiscal or not fiscal) the

power switch must be set as HOST (see appendix A).

� If the system is equipped with fiscal printer Service Plus SP101FR-K, the printer has to be

swiitched ON (see appendix A).

� If the system is equipped with fiscal printer Fasy Shamal, the power switch has to be set in

the middle: not ON and not OFF (see appendix A).

� If the system is equipped with a receipt printer Custom Kube series (fiscal or not fiscal) you

have to check if the printer is ON (green led on the printer control panel) otherwise youhave to switch on the printer by the specific button on the control panel of the same printer(see appendix A).

� The PC printer has to be OFF and its USB cable has not be connected to the port USB # 4 of

MiniPos or of FlatPos unit (see appendix A).

Then, in order to switch on the system, you have to push the power button placed on the controlpanel of MiniPos or FlatPos (green circle - image 3-1).

In this way all system’s devices will be ON (except PC printer) and the operating system will startloading.

During O.S. loading the first window that will be shown on monitor (VisiPos) is that indicated inthe image 3-2.

Su questa shermata bisognerà attendere la scomparsa del messaggio “Waiting for start services”(circa 1 minuto) e la conseguente comparsa nella stessa dei pulsanti denominati SHOPPY edUTILITIES (immagine 3-3).

Questi due pulsanti consentono rispettivamente di accedere al gestionale Shoppy ed al menudelle utilities di servizio a disposizione dei tecnici e del personale di help desk.

� La comparsa di questi due pulsanti sta inoltre ad indicare che il caricamento del sistema

operativo è stato completato.

� La schermata sopra illustrata è un tool software il cui nome è DesktopManager. Questo tool

è uno strumento dinamico nel senso che il numero dei pulsanti in esso contenuti varia infunzione della nazione e dell’hardware del sistema.

Giunti a questo punto, per accedere al software gestionale, è sufficiente premere il pulsanteSHOPPY ed attendere la comparsa della schermata presentata all’immagine 3-4 (schermata dilogin).

When you see this window you have to wait, as indicated in the message “Waiting for startservices” (blinking for about 1 minute) until, you will see two buttons named SHOPPY and UTILITIES(image 3-3).

These two buttons allow respectively to start the software Shoppy and to access the utilitiesmenu that are reserved to technicians and to people of the help desk.

� When this buttons are shown it also means that O.S. is completely loaded.

� The window indicated above is a special software tool and its name is DesktopManager.

This tool is a dynamic instrument, this means that the number of buttons and functionsmay change according to the country and the hardware of system.

Then, you can press “SHOPPY” button in order to access the software and wait for the windowfollowing (image 3-4).

� La schermata di login normalmente contiene due diverse opzioni di ingresso (privilegi). In

alcuni casi però, queste opzioni di ingresso, potrebbero essere anche più di due.

Nel caso di nuova apertura negozio, le password del CASSIERE e del GESTORE, sono sempre leseguenti:

� Le password decadono ogni sei mesi dalla data della loro definizione oppure nel caso in cui

il personale del negozio decida di variarle. Nel caso di interventi di service quindi, questepassword potrebbero risultare non più valide; per potersi loggare bisognerà chiederle alpersonale del negozio o chiedere allo stesso di loggarsi.

Una volta inserita la password ed averla confermata attraverso la pressione del pulsante ENTRA,in pochi istanti verrà visualizzata la schermata principale del gestionale Shoppy: il suo nome èMonitor (immagine 3-5).

� The passwords of the shops expire every six months or when the shop assitant decides to

change them. Therefore, in case of assistance, technicians have to ask to shop assistant fortheir passwords or they can ask shop assistant to log in.

After having inserted the password it is necessary to confirm it with ENTER button; in few secondsyou will see the main menu of Shoppy: its name is Monitor (image 3-5).

Verifica funzionamento stampante fiscale.

La verifica del corretto funzionamento della stampante (fiscale o non fiscale) presente nel siste-ma, indipendentemente dal modello, deve essere eseguita secondo le modalità descritte inquesto capitolo.

Sulla schermata principale di Shoppy (menu Monitor), selezionare il pulsante relativo alla funzio-ne Nuovo Scontrino (cerchietto rosso su immagine 4-1).

Nel solo caso in cui sulla postazione sia stata definita una anagrafica operatori, al tecnico verràproposta una schermata analoga a quella dell’immagine 4-2.

In questa il tecnico dovrà selezionare, tra quelli proposti, uno degli operatori disponibili e quindidovrà confermare la scelta con il pulsante OK.

Sia nel caso in cui sia necessario definire un operatore, sia nel caso in cui non lo sia, la proceduraprogredirà fino a giungere alla schermata dell’immagine 4-3: si tratta del menu delle vendite diShoppy.

� Se la postazione è stata configurata con l’obbligo di gestire unicamente cassieri con

password, la schermata di login sarà sempre proposta.

� Nel caso non siano definito alcun cassiere abilitato all’ingresso nel menu di vendita uno

specifico messaggio d’errore inviterà a definire almeno un cassiere.

� Nel caso di cassiere con password questa sarà sempre di 3 caratteri numerici con unica

eccezione la Romania che ne gestisce invece 4.

Checking that the fiscal printer works.

In order to check the working of the printer (fiscal or not fiscal), you have to follow the proceduresdescribed in this chapter, regardless of the printer model.

From the windows of Shoppy named Monitor you have to select the button New Receipt (red circleon image 4-1).

If more than one cashier is installed on Shoppy a pop-up will appear on the screen. Here it isnecessary to select the sale assistant name and then press OK button (image 4-2).

If only one cashier is set on Shoppy, this pop-up will never be shown..

After having chosen the cashier the procedure will arrive at the sale menu (image 4-3).

� If the sale post is configured to compulsorily have cashier with password, the mask for

login will be always proposed.

� If not one cashier is defined or enabled to enter in the sale menu a specific warning will

inform you about the necessity to do this.

� In the case of cashier with password, this will be always of 3 numeric digits. The only

exception is in case of Romania where the password is always of 4 numeric digits..

Una volta in questa schermata, le verifiche che il tecnico deve eseguire sono le seguenti:

� Nel caso di Zephyr fiscale e Zephyr non fiscale:

�Nella parte in alto a sinistra della schermata (immagine 4-3) il campo stato stam-pa dovrà riportare l’indicazione abilitata (rettangolino rosso).

�Sul display operatore della Zephyr dovrà essere presente la scritta REMOTE.

�Sul Customer Diplay della Zephyr dovrà essere presente uno 0 (zero).

�Sulla Zephyr, il LED (verde) ONL, dovrà risultare acceso fisso.

� Nel caso di SP101FR-K (Russia):

�Nella parte in alto a sinistra della schermata (immagine 4-3) il campo stato stam-pa dovrà riportare l’indicazione abilitata (rettangolino rosso).

�Sul Customer Diplay della SP101FR-K dovrà essere presente un messaggio di ben-venuto.

� Nel caso di Shamal (Polonia):

� Entrare nel menu di vendita ed attendere la comparsa del messaggio d’errore concodice 2696; in questo contesto la comparsa di questo errore è da considerarsinormale. Confermare il messaggio d’errore con OK quindi uscire e rientrare dalmenu di vendita di Shoppy.

� Sul secondo tentativo di ingresso nel menu di vendita, se la Shamal non è giàstata fiscalizzata, comparirà un nuovo ulteriore messaggio d’errore con codice40409: procedere alla fiscalizzazione della Shamal e quindi riprovare ad entraresul menu di vendita.

� Se ri-entrando nel menu di vendita compare il tool per la definizione del fondocassa giornaliero (entrata di cassa), questo significa che Shamal e PC dialogano

� In case of Zephyr fiscal and Zephyr not fiscal:

�On the top of the window to the left side (image 4-3), in the row printing status youmust find enabled (see red square).

�On the operator display there must be the message REMOTE.

�On the Customer Diplay of Zephyr there must be 0 (zero).

�On the control panel of Zephyr, the LED ONL (green), must be on.

� In case of SP101FR-K (Russian Federation):

�On the top of the window to the left side (image 4-3), in the row printing status youmust find enabled (see red square).

�On the Customer Diplay of the SP101FR-K there must be a message as “Welcome”.

� In case of Shamal (Poland):

�Enter the sale menu and wait for the error message code 2696: in this context, it isnot a real error. Confirm the message with OK and then exit and re-enter in the salemenu of Shoppy.

�At the second attempt, if Shamal is not fiscalized yet, a further error message willbe shown: it will have code 40409. In this case you have to fiscalize the Shamaland then re-enter again in the sale menu.

� If during the activation of the sale menu you will see a special pop-up, which is thetool for the cash inflow activity, this means that the devices work properly. In this

� Nel caso di Kube II NF (Regione Medio Orientale):

� Se entrando nel menu di vendita compare il messaggio d’errore con codice 227significa che non è stata definita alcuna intestazione scontrino per la postazione equindi è necessario definirla. L’intestazione scontrino definita su una qualsiasi dellepostazioni sarà poi valida per tutte quelle presenti sul negozio.

� Se entrando nel menu di vendita compare il messaggio d’errore con codice 3534significa che non esistono cassieri abilitati e quindi bisogna definirne almeno uno.

� Nella parte in alto a sinistra della schermata (immagine 4-3) il campo stato stam-pa dovrà riportare l’indicazione abilitata (rettangolino rosso).

� Il Customer Diplay verrà ripulito di ogni eventuale informazione.

Inoltre, ed a carattere generale,

� Se le verifiche coincidono con quanto previsto, significa che i dispositivi operano

correttamente.

� Le verifiche devono essere eseguite su tutte le postazioni del sistema. Le postazioni Client

possono attivare Shoppy solo se la postazione Server è almeno sul DesktopManager.

� Per nessun motivo, nemmeno per prova, dovranno essere emessi scontrini di vendita.

Oltre a quanto sopra indicato nessuna ulteriore operazione è richiesta; per uscire dal menu divendita è sufficiente agire sul pulsante USCITA presente all’interno dello stesso.Se all’interno del menu di vendita non si riscontrassero le indicazioni sopra indicate per lo speci-fico modello di stampante fiscale, oppure nel caso in cui non si riuscisse nemmeno ad attivare ilmenu di vendita (comparsa di un messaggio d’errore es. immagine 4-4), tutto questo sta adindicare un non corretto funzionamento dei dispositivi.

� If entering on the sale menu the error message with code 227 is shown, this meansthat ticket header is not yet defined and so it’s necessary to do this. Ticket headerdefinition can be performed on any post and when done it will be automaticallyavailable for all the posts of the shop.

� If entering on the sale menu the error message with code 3534 is shown, not onecashier is defined or enabled and so at least one must be defined or enabled.

� On the top of the window to the left side (image 4-3), in the row printing status youmust find enabled (see red square)

� The customer display will be clean up of any previously information.

Furthermore, in general,

� If everything works properly, no further activities are needed.

� The checks must be performed on all the computers of the system. Note that a Client post

can runs Shoppy only if the Master post is at least on the DesktopManager.

� If everything works properly, no sale operation must be done; even if it is a test.

If everything works properly, the technician has to exit from the sale menu using EXIT key.

On the contrary, if the procedure is not able to connect to the receipt printer, or in case that anerror message will be shown on the monitor (e.g. on image 4-4) this means that something hasnot worked properly.

� Nel caso in cui si notassero anomalie di funzionamento o la comparsa di messaggi di errore,

il tecnico dovrà operarsi per risolvere la situazione.Solitamente questi problemi sono dipesi da stampante fiscale spenta, senza carta o noncorrettamente collegata all’unità MiniPos o FlatPos; non può tuttavia essere escluso apriori che possa trattarsi di un guasto hardware.

� In case of an error message or in case that it has not worked properly, the technician has to

try to solve the problem until it is settled.Usually this kind of problems are due to the fiscal printer, which is not switched on or is notcorrectly connected to the MiniPos or to the FlatPos or in case of missing roll paper, etc....Anyway, also hardware problems have to be considered.

Sulla schermata del Monitor di sistema di Shoppy premere sull’icona posta nella parte in

alto a sinistra dello schermo.

Fatto ciò scorrere le icone poste nella colonna di sinistra dello schermo fino a visualizzare quella

denominata COLLEGAMENTI (è sempre l’ultima della lista) .

Premere l’icona sopra indicata per accedere al menu di trasmissione dei dati (immagine 5-2).

In quest’ultima, selezionare l’icona APRI (cerchietto rosso su immagine 5-2) per aprire la scher-mata di trasferimento dati via Modem (immagine 5-3).

Then scroll the icons of the left column until you see the icon CONNECTION .

It is always the last one of the list.

Then the technician has to select it to open the following screen (image 6-2).

Now press the icon OPEN (red circle on image 5-2) in order to open the tool of transfer files(image 6-3).

In questa schermata, attraverso la pressione del pulsante AVVIA posto in alto a destra nellaschermata (cerchietto rosso - immagine 5-3) si avvierà la procedura di transfer files.

Una volta avviata questa procedura bisognerà attendere la completa esecuzione di questa fasefintantoché a video non comparirà uno specifico messaggio che informa l’operatore che latrasmissione si è conclusa correttamente.

Alla comparsa di questo messaggio e dopo averlo confermato sarà sufficiente agire sul simbolo

posto sopra il pulsante AVVIA per procedere alla chiusura di questo menu.

� In caso di dubbi sull’esito della trasmissione o in caso di mancato funzionamento della

procedura si prega di contattare l’Help Desk di Cazedonia Italia (+39 045 8604105).

� Nel caso di nuova apertura negozio e di sistema dotato unicamente di modem analogico, i

tempi necessari per l’esecuzione di questa verifica potrebbero risultare abbastanza lunghi;a volte anche superiori ad un ora.Questo è dipeso dal fatto che l’ultima volta che il sistema si è collegato con i server diCalzedonia è stato al momento della sua preparazione.Da quel momento i server continuato a produrre dati per il specifico negozio ed inoltresaranno messe a disposizione anche eventuali patch software di aggiornamento.Questo avviene sistematicamente, giorno dopo giorno, dal momento in cui il sistema vienepreparato e fintanto che non viene installato sul negozio. Di conseguenza la mole di datiche un negozio dovrà acquisire sarà in funzione del tempo trascorso dalla sua preparazionefino a quella di installazione.

Tuttavia se il sistema è dotato di linea digitale ADSL i tempi, a parità di dati, siridurranno sensibilmente.

� Nel caso in cui si registrassero dei problemi, consultare la pubblicazione con codice SER010.

� In case of doubts about the result of the data transfer, the technician can check it with the

� In case of new shop openings and computer system equipped with only analogical modem,

this activity could be very long; sometimes also more than one hour.This is due to the fact that the system performs a transfer file activity during its tests inItaly (system preparation) and then it will be sent to the shop.During the system dispatcing, its data continuously are released and stored too in thespecific folder of shop until the next data transfer.More time has elapsed since the last data transfer and longer will be the time necessary toacquire the available data.

However, if the system is equipped with line digital ADSL, the times necessaryto acquire the data will reduce significantly.

Verifica configurazione stampante PC.

Posizionarsi sul menu principale del DesktopManager (Shoppy non deve essere attivo) e quindicollegare il cavo dati USB della stampante PC alla porta USB #4 posta nella parte posterioredell’unità MiniPos o di quella FlatPos; poi accendere la stampante PC.Attraverso questa semplice operazione il sistema riconoscerà automaticamente la stampantePC e provvederà all’attivazione del relativo driver software.

Quindi, dal DesktopManager (immagine 3-3), premere in sequenza i seguenti pulsanti:

In questo modo apparirà una schermata come quella dell’immagine 6-1.

In questa saranno presenti solo due icone, Add Printer (non utilizzare) e l’icona relativa allaStampante di Sistema che è appena stata collegata al sistema.

A questo punto è necessario attivare il menu delle opzioni della stampante (tasto destro delTouch Pad sull’icona della stampante) e selezionare l’impostazione Set as default Printer(immagine 6-2).

Fatto questo bisognerà spegnere la stampante, attendere qualche istante (~5”) e quindi riaccen-dere la stessa: in questo modo, come si può notare nell’immagine 6-3, sull’icona della stampantedi sistema comparirà il simbolino di spunta che la identifica come predefinita di sistema.

PC Printer configuration check.

Go to the main menu of the DesktopManager (Shoppy must not be activated) and then connectthe USB cable of the PC Printer to the USB #4 port which is on the rear pannel of the MiniPos orthe FlatPos; then switch on the printer.Through this easy operation O.S. will recognise and will activate the specific printer driver.

Now, in the DesktopManager window (image 3-3), press the following buttons:

The first window that will appear to technician will be as the following (image 6-1).

On this screen the Technician will find only two icons: Add Printer (this must not be used) andthe icon about the System’s Printer just connected.

Now it is necessary to set the printer as default printer: right key of the touch pad on the printericon and then choose Set as default Printer option (image 6-2).

After that, switch off the printer, wait for about 5” and then switch on the printer again .In this way the printer icon will show the tick that indicates it as a default printer of the system(image 6-3).

Si dovrà quindi ripetere la precedente operazione selezionando però questa volta l’opzioneProperties (immagine 6-4).

In questa modo verrà visualizzata la schermata dell’immagine 6-5.Su questa agendo sul pulsante Print Test Page (freccia rossa), si potrà eseguire una stampa diprova per verificare il corretto funzionamento del dispositivo.

Non appena selezionata l’opzione indicata, a video verrà presentato un messaggio come quelloproposto all’immagine 6-6.

Su questo pop-up selezionare l’opzione OK ed attendere l’esito della stampa di prova.

Se la stampa viene eseguita correttamente (immagine 6-7), chiudere la finestra di sistema deno-minata Printers and faxes e eseguire il logoff dell’utente Administrator attraverso la sequen-za: START, Log Off Administrator, Log Off.In questo modo rimarrà attivo unicamente il DesktoManager.

When you press the this button a pop-up (image 6-6) will appear.

Confirm the pop-up clicking OK button and wait until the test page will be printed.

If the test page is printed correctly (image 6-7), close the window named Printers and faxesand logoff Administrator (START, Log Off Administrator, Log Off).In this way only DesktopManager remain active.

Invio alla stampante PC della configurazione certificata Calzedonia.

Dal DesktopManager (immagine 3-3) premere in sequenza i seguenti pulsanti:

giunti a questo punto, ed in base al modello della stampante installata sul sistema si dovrà agiresul tasto che riporta quale nome il modello della stampante stessa.

Le opzioni possibili sono:

= Configurazione Calzedonia per Lexmark E232


= Configurazione Calzedonia per Lexmark E250d


Premendo il tasto che corrisponde al modello di stampante interfacciata al MiniPos o al FlatPos sidarà inizio alla fase di configurazione della stessa secondo le specifiche “Calzedonia”.

Non appena premuto il pulsante di riferimento, la prima schermata che apparirà a video saràanaloga a quella dell’immagine 6-8 (la stampante viene portata in assetto PRG):

Su questa, come da richiesta a video, premere il tasto �.

Apparirà quindi un ulteriore messaggio (immagine 6-9) e la configurazione “Calzedonia” verràinviata alla stampante:

then,according to the printer model installed in the system, press the button that indicates theprinter name.

After selecting the printer model, the Calzedonia configuration will start to download to the printer.

The data sending activity is divided into two steps:Step #1 set PC Printer in PRG mode (image 6-8);

Here technicians have to press � key when requested.

Step #2 send to PC Printer the specific configuration (image 6-9);

Anche in questo caso premere nuovamente � come da richiesta a video.

Poi la finestra si chiuderà automaticamente e la stampante risulterà pronta a tutti gli effetti.

Per verificare che la stampante sia stata correttamente configurata eseguire un autotest di stam-

pa (tenere premuto per un istante i pulsanti o posti, a seconda del modello, sulla plancia

comandi della stampante) e quindi verificare sulla/e pagine così emessa/e quanto indicato nelquadratino rosso dell’immagine 6-10.

Also in this case, technicians have to press � key when requested.

When the procedure is finished, the window will be automatically closed and from this momentthe PC Printer is ready to be used.

In order to check if the printer is configured properly it is enough to perform the printer autotest:

press for an istant the button or (it depends from the printer model) from control panel;

then wait for the print of autotest sheet (s) and check on it as indicated in image 6-10.

Condivisione stampante (solo in caso di sistema multicassa).

Se il sistema è composto da più di postazioni, solo quella definita come SERVER sarà dotata distampante PC.

Le postazioni aggiuntive (CLIENT #n) infatti utilizzeranno (condivederanno) la stampante delServer.

Per dare quindi modo anche alle postazioni secondarie (CLIENT #n) di poter accedere al serviziodi stampa, il tecnico dovrà espletare alcune attività atte a condividere la stampante di sistematra tutte le postazioni che lo compongono.

Attività da eseguirsi sulla postazione SERVER

Dal DesktopManager (immagine 3-3) del Server premere in sequenza i seguenti pulsanti:

Così facendo a video verrà proposta una schermata come quella dell’immagine 6-11.

Da questa schermata, agendo con il tasto destro del Touch Pad sull’icona della stampante defini-ta di sistema, si aprirà il relativo menu delle opzioni e su questo si dovrà selezionare l’imposta-zione Sharing... (immagine 6-12).

Così facendo verrà proposta la schermata dell’immagine 6-13.

Sharing PC Printer (only in a case of more than one computer).

In a case of systems made by more than one computer, PC Printer must be always connected tothe main computer (Server).

Secondary computers (Clients) will use the Server PC Printer.

So, it is necessary to share the Server’s printer with the Client postings.

Sharing activities on the SERVER computer

From the DesktopManager (image 3-3) of the Server press the following buttons:

The first screen that will appear to technician will be as shown in the image 6-11.

Here you have to select the printer icon with the right button of the Touch Pad and then select theoption Sharing... (image 6-12).

The following window will appear (image 6-13):

Su questa, bisognerà modificare due impostazioni (vedere frecce rosse): selezionare l’opzioneShare this printer e scrivere per esteso marca e modello della stampante sul campo Sharename (es.: Lexmark E240); quindi confermare il tutto con il pulsante OK posto nella parte inbasso della maschera. Fatto ciò, chiudere la finestra Printers and faxes ed eseguire il logoffdell’utente Administrator.

Here it is necessary to modify two settings (see red arrows): select option Share this printerand write the printer model in the field Share name (es.: Lexmark E240) then confirm withOK button and close the window named Printers and faxes.Afterwards it is necessary to logoff the Administrator (START, Log Off Administrator, Log Off).

Selezionare l’opzione Connect to this printer... e poi sul campo Name digitare: \\Shoppy-1\, così facendo, ed in modo automatico, sotto al campo apparirà il percorso ed il nome comple-

to della stampante di sistema precedentemente condivisa sulla postazione Server: selezionarequindi il nome proposto ed agire sul pulsante Next.Apparirà la schermata dell’immagine 6-18.

Premere il pulsante Yes presente nella schermata dell’immagine 6-18 per confermare l’installa-zione della stampante di rete sulla postazione sulla quale si sta operando.

Apparirà così il pop-up dell’immagine 6-19.

Premere sul pulsante Finish per concludere la procedura.

A questo punto a video rimarrà unicamente la schermata di partenza che tuttavia mostrerà anchela nuova stampante appena installata (immagine 6-20).

Select option Connect to this printer... and then in the field Name type: \\Shoppy-1\, in

this way the path and the name of the printer shared with the server will automatically be shown.Select it and then press Next (image 6-18).

On the pop-up image 6-18 select Yes button to accept the printer driver installation.

In this way you will arrive to window shown in the image 6-19.

press Finish button to complete the procedure.

At this point, on the screen, you will see the initial window where you can find the new printerdriver just installed (image 6-20).

Chiudere la finestra di sistema denominata Printers and faxes e eseguire il logoff dell’utentePosUser attraverso la sequenza: START, Log Off PosUser, Log Off.

� L’operazione di Log Off dell’utente PosUser non è analoga a quella dell’utente Administrator.

Quando si esegue il Log Off dell’utente Administartor, l’Explore di Windows si chiude erimane attiva l’applicazione DesktopManager.Quando invece si esegue il Log Off dell’utente PosUser vengono chiusi sia l’Explorer diWindows che il DesktopManager ed a video apparirà il pop-up di login di Windows (immagine6-21).Poiché la password dell’utente PosUser non è nota ne ai tecnici ne al personale del negozio,l’unico modo per ripristinare il corretto funzionamento della postazione è quello di eseguireuno Shut Down (freccia rossa - immagine 6-21) del sistema e quindi procedere al riavviodello stesso.

Now you have to close the window named Printers and faxes and to logoff PosUser (START,Log Off PosUser, Log Off).

� The PosUser Log Off is similar to the Administrator Log Off.

However with the Administrator Log Off, Windows Explorer will be closed and onlyDesktopManager will be available whereas, with PosUser Log Off all applications will beclosed and you will have to enter an username and a password in the login window.Since username and password are not known to shop’s assistants (and also to technicians)after a PosUser Log Off it is always necessary to restart the PC (red arrow - image 6-21).

� Normally, by switching on the MiniPos, all the devices of the system switch on. The only

device that does not respect this rule is the PC Printer, which has a specific switch, separatedfrom the system.However, in case of a FlatPos unit, besides the PC printer, it will be also necessary to switchon the fiscal printer connected to it.

Questo registratore di cassa non deve in alcun modo essere connesso al resto del sistema ma peril suo corretto funzionamento deve essere propriamente configurato attraverso il tool di configu-razione presente nel sistema (Capitolo 11 di questa guida).Qundi solo ed esclusivamente per adempiere a questa particolarità la cassa sarà collegata alMiniPos attraverso l’apposito cavetto di collegamento (Immagine A-28).

Connections to Junior device.

The Electronic Cash Register Fasy Junior (device certified in Hungary - see image A-27) is usedonly in all the ActivePos systems in Hungary.The aim of this device is to issue integrative fiscal receipts besides the ones issued by Zephyr notfiscal version (it is also a part of system).

This cash register must not be connected to the computer system, but, for its proper functionmust be setup by the specific tool of the computer system Chapter 11 of these guide).

The CISCO SG 100D-08 switch is the device that allows to manage the whole network inside theshop; on it must be plugged all the LAN cables from various devices (sale’s devices, peoplecounter device, business intelligence devices and the firewall).
