SNS College of Technology is a leading

committed trust, Sri SNS Charitable Trust. The

Institution is situated in Screne atmosphere 10 Kms.

from Coimbatore city. The college was established in

the year 2002 and approved by AICTE and affiliated

to Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore. The

college is in the Tenth year of its dedicated and

excellent service in the field of Technical Education.

Our college offers 09 Undergraduate programmes,

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Mechanical Engineering Department has

excellent infrastructure facilities by keeping on par with

the latest trends. It has been recognized as Research

Centre by Anna University of Technology, Coimbatore

for Pursuing research programme which leads to Ph.D.

degree .The department has well experienced faculty

members with a blend of industrial and academic

exposure. The Machine tools Lab, CAD/CAM Lab (with

relevant softwares), Metrology and Measurements Lab,

Dynamics and Mechatronics Laboratories (with relevant

softwares) have been setup for the course of study.

SEMINAR OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the seminar is to create

awareness among faculty regarding the

applications of Gas Turbines and the

challenges faced by Indian industry.

To disseminate the knowledge in the area

of Gas Turbine.

To pave way for the research and

development in the area of Gas Turbine.

To deliberate its major application in the

present industry sector.

TOPICS TO BE COVERED

Over view of Gas Turbine, Gas Dynamics, Jet

Propulsion, Gas Turbines & Rocket propulsion

system, GDJP Problems, Fuels in Spatial vehicles,

CFD. Major applications in the above said all topics

will be deliberated.

RESOURCE PERSON

Experts from Leading Organizations (NAL, MTPS,

etc.) and academic Institutions specialized in Gas

Turbines will deliberate the seminar.

PARTICIPANTS

Faculty members from AICTE approved

Degree/Diploma level institution can apply and

participate in the programme without any

registration Fee. Candidates are requested to send

the completed registration form through

post/Courier or E-mail. The registration form

should be forwarded by HOD/Principal of the

institution with seal. Selected applicants will be

informed through E-mail.

BOARDING AND LODGING

Boarding and lodging will be provided in the

institute hostel for participants based on the

request.
