Sir,1J The pre inspection charges at manufactures factory for uPVC pipes was fixed by
the SSNNL at0.5o/o of the basic value of the materials/prrducts vide Executive
Engineer CPC-lll's letter under ref 2 for GIRDA and under Ref 3 for CIPET. 'Ihe
rate for the year 2017 -18 is extended for further one year'
2) Basic rates for different diameters of uPVC pipes for the first quarter I Jan to
March )of 2017was approved vicie lelter under ref [4J above'
3l After careful consideration, the basic rates for the different diamelers ol uPVC
pipes for 1st quarter 2018, excluding excise duty & transportalion cost'

2018, Government of Gujarat (GOG) has approved the list of Banks whose
Bank Guarantee would be accepted in the financial year 2018-19 and has also
provided list of such Banks. After careful consideration, SSNNL has decided

Preamble:
SSNNL is dealing with various contracts for works. At present, tendersfor various works are invited as per the Model Tender Document approved bySSNNL vide Circular under reference (1) and subsequent modification as approvedfrom time to time. Clause-38 in Section-|, Volurne: One - B of ltem Rate ModelTender Document provides for Price Adjustment. ln this clause, it is provided thatprice adjustment for cement and steel is applicable from day one of issuance ofwork order but it is applicable only for contracts having time limits more than oneyear.
As per standard B-2 Form of Dept., the price adjustment forcement/steel/asphalt is applicable for all contracts from day one irrespective of timelimit for completion of work.
Looking to the fluctuation in the rates of cement/steel/asphalt and tomake it uniform with the provision made in standard B-2 Form, it was felt necessaryto revise the relevant paras of Clause no. 38 "Price Adjustment" of Section -1,Volume: One- B of ltem Rate Model Tender of SSNNL The matter was underconsideration at SSNNL level.

After careful considerafion, SSNNL has decided to replace the relevant parasof Clause no. 38 "Price Adjustment" of Section -1, Volume; One- B of ttem RateModel Tender of SSNNL by new Paras as per Annexure enclosed herewith.
This revision shall suitably be incorporated in relevant Clauses lParal of ModelTender Documents for ltem Rate Contracts.
This revision is applicable to future as well as live Tenders of ssNNL

Preamble:
There is a provision of Clause No. Clause No. 17.1.2(B) "STEEL" in Section - I ofVolume: One - B of Model Tender Documents circulated vide the Circular underreference. ln this Clause, Para 17.1.2(B) (i) provides as under:
17.1.2.(B) STEEL
(i) The contractor shall procure TMT bars, rods and structuralsteel, corrosion resisting steel etc. required for the worksonly from the primary producers manufacturing steel to theprescribed specifications of Bureau of lndian Standards orequivalent and licensed to use BIS or other equivalentcertification marks.
ln this Para, it is mentioned that the required steel shall be procured from primaryproducers
Govt. of lndia, Ministry of Steel has abolished the classification in steel producersviz. lntegrated Steel Producers, Primary Steel Producers, Secondary SteelProducers, Main Producers, Major Producers or Others vide Notification publishedon date 12-05-2016.
ln view of this abolition, it was essential to amend the prevailing above provision.The matter wai under consideration at SSNNL level.

After careful consideration SSNNL has decided to replace the prevailing Para17 .1.2(B) (i) of Clause No. 17 'MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP" in Section - I ofVolume: One - B of Model Tender Documents by new one Para 17.1.2(B) (i) asunder:

Mitd stee/ bars reinforcement for R.C.C. works shall conform to
,.S. 432(Part-tl) 1982flatest amendment if anyl and shall be offested quatity. It shalt also comply with relevant part of l.3-456-2000. [latest amendment if any].
High strength deformed sfeel bars and wires for concretereinforcement shatl conform fo l.S. 1786-2008 flatest amendment ifanyl.
Att structural sfee/ shall conform to 1.5.226'1975 flatestamendment if anyl."
This revision shall suitably be incorporated in relevant Clauses/Para/ltems of
