Namn: Norra Vram Äldreboende Projektets karaktär: ”Här byggs Norra Europas bästa vårdboende” står det på skyltar vid byggarbetsplatsen i Norra Vram, i Bjuvs kommun. Detta var partnergruppens vision som nu håller på att förverkligas. Marge Arkitekter blev kontaktade av Partnergruppen för att man ville ha ett arkitektkontor som kunde tänka i nya banor och som kunde både i gestaltning och funktion hjälpa Partnergruppen att uppnå sin vision. Platsen för vårdboendet är den gamla mangårdsbyggnaden från slutet av 1800-talet i Norra Vram. Uppdraget innefattade dels en tillbyggnad på 1400 m2 och en ombyggnad av befi ntlig byggnad på 1000 m2. Tillbyggnadens form anspelar till den traditionella bybildningen, i ny tappning. Nybyggnaden består av ett antal längor placerade intill varann. Intima gårdsrum bildas då längorna ligger förskjutna i förhållande till varandra. Volymerna är putsade i olika kulörer som återfi nns i rött tegel. Det röda teglet syns i mansgårdsbyggnaden. Fokus har varit att ta tillvara såväl personalens som de boende och anhörigas önskemål. Projektet handlade om att skapa rumsliga förutsättningar för dessa grupper att mötas och känna sig hemma. Namn: DONG HUANG QUALITY INN HOTEL Projektets karaktär: The Dong Huang Quality Inn 4-star Hotel is situated close to the Sogo Department store. The overall design proposed questions the typology and separation that usually occurs between the reception area, lift access, corridors and bedrooms of a hotel. By organising the bedrooms along a series of offset, shallow ramps the space within the bedroom block becomes a top lit atrium that brings light to the access to the individual bedrooms and visually links the bedrooms with the reception/lobby area. Building engineering services Mechanical and electrical services can account for a considerable proportion of the cost of construction and operation of modern buildings. From lifts and escalators, to air-conditioning and controls, to lighting and communications, the provision of building services become increasingly complex and challenging. Beijing Chinese Central Television (CCTV), the Chinese staterun media company, has ambitious plans to compete on the world stage of broadcasting, transmitting in time for the Beijing Olympics in 2008. This expression of national pride extends to its new US$600M headquarters in Beijing’s central business district. The commission to design the building was won by Ole Schreeren and Rem Koolhaas from Rotterdam-based Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA), with Arup. The Arup team, working closely with OMA and East China Architecture & Design Institute (ECADI), a Shanghai-based local design institute, delivered the design through seamless global collaboration, crossingtime zones, cultures, cost centres and even the SARS outbreak.
