Dear Member, felicitators, good were wishers, benefited People

dedicated members of he foundation, my dears all supporter ladies and gentle

man.

Why India’s rural development is important for the nation?

India lives in its villages, and while the cities have grown immensely over the last 20

years, rural areas have not seen that kind of development. For India’s economy to be strong,

the rural economy needs to grow. Rural areas are still plagued by problems of malnourishment,

illiteracy, unemployment and lack of basic infrastructure like schools, colleges, hospitals,

sanitation, etc. This has led to youth moving out of villages to work in cities. This could be

compared to the brain drain from India to US. Our villages need to grow in tandem with cities

and standard of life has to improve there for inclusive growth to happen. If rural India is poor,

India is poor.

Basically, what we need is to empower the rural people by providing them education and proper

health care. They need to have infrastructure like electricity and water so that they are free from

the cycle of droughts and floods. We need to give them self-employment so that they want to

stay in villages instead of migrating in cities. There is a need to empower the villagers, and not

just supporting them by food subsidies, loan waivers which end up crippling them. India will

grow only when rural India marches hand in hand with cities in the twenty first century.

We at Shiksha Evam Kalyan Samiti are always proud to say that “we make difference “

meticulously nurtured a climate that is conductive to progress, where people are loved and

About Shiksha Evam Kalyan Samiti

Shiksha Evam kalyan Samiti is a social development organization formed by likeminded people engaged

in the social development sector. The organization has been established with an aim to help and

supports the underprivileged and not so exposes rural people to empower them and bring into justice,

equity, freedom, and solidarity so as to demands their rights. The organization has focus on various

aspects to promote Rural education, vocational training, Energy security and rural electrification,

EcoTourism, Health, Human rights, environment, age care and other development work of rural

communities.

Vision

To bring up a new generation of children, young women youthfully equipped with education potential to

generate employment with quality and construction imagination.

Our organization realizes that in all development process, women’s participation must be ensured and

community involvement and active participation is essential for sustainability of the programmes and

balanced development.

Strategy

The strategic planning for the organization is being done by the governing member. However, much

earlier the organization has registered; the group has been started working with the people by visiting to

the community, rural areas interacting with the people to learn more about problems exist and its cause

and effect.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE SCHEME (SDIS) Directorate General of Employment & Training

Features of the Scheme

Objective

The objectives of the scheme are:

I. To provide vocational training to school leavers, existing workers, ITI graduates, etc. to improve their employability by optimally utilizing the infrastructure available in Govt., private institutions and the Industry. Existing skills of the persons can also be tested and certified under this scheme.

II. To build capacity in the area of development of competency standards, course curricula, learning material and assessment standards In the country.

Key Features of the Scheme

I. Demand driven short term training courses based on Modular Employable Skills (MES) decided in consultation with Industry. MES is the ‘minimum skills set’ which is sufficient for gainful employment.

II. Central government facilitates and promote training while industry, private sector and State Governments provide training to the persons.

III. Optimum utilisation of existing infrastructure to make training cost effective.IV. Flexible delivery mechanism (part time, weekends, full time, onsite/ offsite) to suit needs of

various target groups.V. Different levels of programmes (Foundation level as well as skill up gradation) to meet

demands of various target groups.VI. The services of existing or retired faculty or guest faculty are being utilized.VII. Courses are available for persons having completed 5th standard.VIII. Testing & certification of skills acquired informally.IX. Testing of skills of trainees by independent assessing bodies, which would not be involved in

training delivery, to ensure that it is done impartially.X. The essence of the scheme is in the certification that will be nationally and internationally

recognized


Skill Development / Vocational Training Programmes under SDIS Scheme

ILO Convergence Programme – NCLP Vocational training to the Child Labour of Sahebganj District

Jharkhand is among the Empowered Action Group states with a predominant tribal population that is largely poverty-striken and, hence, vulnerable to child labour and trafficking.

The Convergence project has been initiated in Ranchi and Sahebganj districts of the state.The districts have a high incidence of child labour due to poverty, social disparity and low education levels, or because of rural-urban migration and trafficking.

The age group between 14-17 years child labours has been trained through our VTP under SDIs scheme .80 child labours has been trained and certified in Hand Embroidery Module under Garment making according MES curriculum.ILO has provides the Training Tool kits, Travel Expenses to all the beneficiaries. Many of them have been joined the mainstream of educations, upgrade their skills.

The lLo had been organized a experience-sharing forum on 24 May 2013 in The ResidencyHotel, Bhopal, Madhya pradesh, to share ground-level experiences on implementation of the skillsDevelopment Initiative Programme. Participants was include those who have been working closerywith the lLo and the Directorate-General of Employment & Training in implementation of the SDlProgramme.

The students belongs to paharias community of Sahebganj District has been skilled and trained through our centre under SDIS scheme.These students has been identified and selected by the District Paharias WelfareSociety.52 Students has been trained in the module of Data Entry Operator.Most of the student have joined the different organization for job.

The programme aims at providing the technical and skill development training to the rural youth belonging to BPL/Minorities families in verious module under SDI MES curriculam. The main objective of the organization is to make the girls/women more self-dependent and more educated.

These students has been trained in the various module under Garment Making & Information and Communication Technology.

For the better skill development of the Rural youth belonging to BPL families, the programme provide them computer training and make them familiar with the latest technology used day to day life in IT industry. The main objective of the organization is to make the rural youth more self-dependent and more educated. The lower strata of the society is very unskilled in the field of information technology because of expensive education mainly given by the private organizations and institutions, which cannot be afforded by the rural poor youth. So the organization has proposed to provide training on Computer Education to youth, who are really needed to get such training at local level

The objective of this Scheme is to encourage skill development for youth by providing monetary rewards for successful completion of approved training programs.

This scheme was lanched by the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of Jharkhand to provides the Sewing Machine free of cost to BPL women aged between 35-60.

Under this scheme our organization has trained more 100 benefishries in the module of Basic Sewing & Stitching.

Our institute has been tie up with sevral universities for degree and diploma courses.Our Organization provides “FREE VOCATIONAL EDUCATION” at very nominal charge through our "Study Center" with different courses covering to various fields.

Sixth Economic Census 2013

The Economic Census is an important activity of national importance which involves collection of basic entrepreneurial data through complete enumeration of all economic units, viz., enterprises/establishments, irrespective of employment size and turnover .

Our organization has surveyed Pakur Nagar Panchayat and Hiranpur Block of Pakur District with 110 Enumerators and 18 supervisors.

Nodel Agency of LIC for Aam Aadmi Bima Yojna & Group Insurance

AAM ADMI BIMA YOJANA, a Social Security Scheme for rural landless household was launched on 2nd October, 2007.The head of the family or one earning member in the family of such a household is covered under the scheme. The premium of Rs.200/-per person per annum is shared equally by the Central Government and the State Government.Our organization is the Nodel Agency of LIC for this scheme. We have joined number of peoples in this scheme.

Jeevan Pramaan for pensioners

Jeevan Pramaan is a biometric enabled digital service for pensioners. Pensioners of Central Government, State Government or any other Government organization can take benefit of this facility.

Digital life Certificate for Pensioners scheme of the Government of India known as Jeevan Pramaan seeks to address this very problem by digitizing the whole process of securing the life certificate.

Our centre is authorized NIELIT Centre for this Project.


Preparation of National Business Register though Outsourcing

National Business Register, capturing all business establishments with a workforce of 8 or more people, with details such as their addresses, sectors, turnovers and number employed.The National Business Register will be prepare on the basis of Economic Census.Our Organization has been selected as outsourcing agecy for selection of Data Entry Operator according to needs.We are working in this project with District Staticstic Department of Sahebganj & Pakur District, Jharkhand.

The state of Jharkhand is vulnerable to multi hazards & Disasters, primarily agricultural drought, mining hazard, lightning and flood.The Department primarily works to provide timely relief to disaster affected people. Our organization has been empanelled with JSDMD for Sahebganj & Pakur District.

One Month Computer Literacy Training for BPL Students

Shiksha Evam Kalyan Samiti, supported to continue ‘Computer Literacy programme” since 10 years. Every year 100 nos. youth girlsand boys had been trained in under this project. We feel computer literacy is important for all of us to get exposure about the Computer because we cannot think about our life without Computer in this era. Keeping this view in our mind we organized one month computer training workshop for giving importance of Computer education to the rural people specially girls & women.

Besides the academic session in the school, there are extraactivities to give all round development to the students. Our School has also organized Quiz, Drawing, to improve the extracurricular activity of the students.

We are organizing awareness programme for preventions of Aids.The organisation is focusing its intervention mainly on awareness generation among diversified stakeholders including person affected and prone to HIV / AIDS.
