Oreya est un chœur professionnel ukrainien. Il est constitué de 32 chanteurs: 7 sopranis, 7 altis, 9 ténors et 9 basses. Il a été fondé en 1986 par son directeur actuel, Alexander Vatsek, également professeur de formation vocale, jury international, animateur d’ateliers vocaux dans de nombreux pays. Pour saluer son rayonnement, l’Ukraine l’a nommé membre d’honneur des arts et de la culture.

Cet ensemble est classé parmi les 12 meilleurs chœurs de la planète, selon les experts de Polyfollia, (organisateurs de festivals mondiaux de chant). Il travaille l’art vocal six heures par jour dans la ville de Jytomyr, ville ukrainienne de 270’000 habitants située à 150 km à l’ouest de Kiev. Son palmarès est orné de 31 premiers prix internationaux.

Malgré les secousses émotionnelles engendrées par le spectre de la guerre rampante, Oreya continue de chanter, de voyager, de livrer des messages d’espoir dans de nom-breux pays: Corée, France, Suisse, Espagne, Allemagne, Pologne, Russie, Slovénie… Son répertoire allie liturgie orthodoxe, thèmes populaires, créations contemporaines et chants du monde.

Oreya is an Ukrainian professional chorus. It is consti-tuted of 32 singers, 7 sopranis, 7 altis, 9 tenors and 9 basses. It was founded in 1986 by his current manager, Alexander Vatsek, also professor of vocal training, international jury, animator of vocal workshops in many countries. To greet its radiance, Ukraine named him member of honour of arts and of culture.

This group is classifi ed among 12 better choruses of the planet, according to the experts of Polyfollia, (organizers of worldwide festivals of song). He works vocal art six hours a day in the city of Jytomyr, Ukrainian city of 270 ‘000 in-habitants located in 150 km on the West by Kiev. His prize list is adorned with fi rst 31 international prices.

In spite of the emotional jolts procreated by the spectre of rampant war, Oreya continues singing, travelling, deliver-ing messages of hope in many countries such as Korea, France, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovenia… His directory alloys orthodox liturgy, popular topics, contemporary creations and songs of the world.

Die CD wurde anlässlich des Konzertes vom 11. April 2015 in der Pfarrkirche von Schmitten aufgenom-men. Sie entführt die Zuhörerinnen und Zuhörer in eine einmalige Welt des Chorgesanges.Der Erlös kommt dem Chor Oreya zugute.

Oreya ist ein professioneller Chor aus der Ukraine und setzt sich aus 32 Sängerinnen und Sängern zusammen: 7 Sopran, 7 Alt, 9 Tenor, 9 Bass.Er wurde 1986 von Alexander Vatsek gegründet, der ihn noch heute leitet. Vatsek ist Gesangslehrer, internationales Jurymitglied und Leiter verschiedener Gesangsateliers in zahlreichen Ländern.

Das Ensemble zählt gemäss den Experten von Polyfol-lia (Organisation von internationalen Chorfestivals) zu den zwölf besten Chören der Welt und hat bereits 31 erste Preise errungen. Der Chor stammt aus Jytomyr, einer uk-rainischen Stadt mit 270’00 Einwohnern, 150 km westlich von Kiev. Die Mitglieder üben bis zu sechs Stunden pro Tag.

Trotz der Kriegswirren, welche die Menschen erschüttern, macht Oreya unbeirrt weiter. Sie singen, reisen und brin-gen Hoffnung in zahlreiche Länder: Korea, Frankreich, Schweiz, Spanien, Deutschland, Polen, Russland, Sloweni-en... Das Repertoire umfasst orthodoxe Gesänge, Volkslie-der, zeitgenössische Werke und Lieder aus aller Welt.
