  • The Company

ANZ is a domestic alternative fuel company involved in

high tech conversion of non biodegradable plastic into oil

using a proprietary technology. The invented process

involves degradation of waste plastic using catalytic

additive and is different from the generally existing

    pyrolysis process.

ANZ Waste Plastic Management co. Pvt. Ltd. is based in

Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. It was originally founded as

Unique Plastic Waste Management co. Pvt. Ltd. in 2004

with the primary aim of commercializing the proprietary

technique of converting Plastic to Oil the very first

company in India to do so.

Over the years our technology has been validated by

external review including successful review carried out by

Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) and Indian Oil Corporation

    (IOC).

The company is in the business of commissioning turn-key

plastic to oil commercial plants for customers as well as

supplying the proprietary catalyst to existing plant owners

for improving the efficiency in converting plastic to oil.

  • The Inventors

The technology behind the proprietary ANZ Plastic to Oil

process was invented by Prof. Mrs. Alka Umesh

Zadgaonkar and Dr. Umesh Zadgaonkar. Mrs. Alka

Zadgaonkar is the Head of Department, Applied Chemistry

at the prestigious G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering.

Both the inventors are residents of Nagpur.

They are the pioneers of the Plastic to Oil revolution in

India and hold the key patents for the process of

converting plastic to oil both in India and in the

    International markets.

The inventors have been honored on numerous occasion

by the various government authorities for the invaluable

contribution to the managing the growing problem of

Plastic waste. They have been felicitated by the Municipal

Corporations, State Government, Central Government as

well as the then-President of India, Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.

The inventors are significant shareholders in ANZ and are

    actively involved in the company.

  • Technology and the Process

    Explaining the Process:

Both plastics and petroleum derived fuels are

hydrocarbons that contain the elements of carbon and

hydrogen. The difference between them is that plastic

molecules have longer carbon chains than those in LPG,

petrol, and diesel fuels. Therefore, it is possible to convert

    waste plastic into fuels.

The process is a thermal selective splitting reaction of the

large molecular weight polymer carbon chains under an

oxygen free environment and produces small molecular

    weight molecules.

In the commercial plant, the plastics are fed into a reactor

along with the catalyst and the mixture is heated to 375

degrees Celsius in the absence of air. This results in the

generation of petroleum products in a gaseous form. The

gaseous output is then passed through a condenser. The

liquid components of the output are collected in a liquid

collection chamber and the non-condensable gases are

collected in a gas collection chamber.

  • Input and Output

    Input: Plastics.

    What are Plastics?

Long Chain of molecules mainly composed of Carbon and

    Hydrogen.

HDPE, LDPE, PP and PS account for 70% of the plastics

used in packaging. These are all useful inputs for the

    process

    Output: Petroleum Products

Output from 1 KG of Plastic

Product Quantity Liquid Hydrocarbons 600 gms to 800 gms Coke 70 gms to 100 gms Gas Equivalent to produce net

    2.25 units of electricity.

  • Output Yield Data

The major process parameters and product yields are

given in Table below. The evolved vapors are condensed to

    collect gas and liquid products.

Feed Assorted waste plastic Catalyst 0.1 wt% on feed Temperature 300-400 C Pressure Atmospheric Batch cycle time 3-4 hrs The product yields Quantity (wt%) Gas 10-20 Liquid hydrocarbons 60-80 Coke 7-10

  • Certified Observations and Conclusions from Indian Oil

    Corporation (R&D Centre)

Following are the major observations and conclusions from

the experiments by Indian Oil Corporation (R&D Centre)

All the types of plastic waste including PVC & PET are

converted into gases & liquid hydrocarbons.

The catalyst enhances the conversion of waste plastic in to

hydrocarbons thereby improving quality & quantity of

hydrocarbon gas and liquid products. Negligible

Conversion was observed in absence of invented catalytic

    additives

Increase in the temperature and rate of heating increases

    the gas yield.

Introduction of feed at higher temperature substantially

    reduces the process cycle time.

Water from wet gas meter indicates presence of HCI in the

    gaseous fraction.

Inorganic Chlorine is present in the gas and liquid

    products.

  • Features of our Process

The process is 100% Eco Friendly.

This process is not only a solution to the waste plastic

problem but can change global economic scenario by

saving millions of dollars in import of crude oil.

This is a unique process through which 100% waste is

    converted into value added products.

Percentage composition of output can be altered by

    changing/adjusting reaction conditions.

Liquid fuel obtained from first stage can be directly

    utilized for D. G. Sets

Sulphur content in the fuel generated is less than

    0.002%

    No emissions in the atmosphere

    No liquid affluent

    Benefits over other Pyrolysis Plants

Significantly higher output of useful hydrocarbons

No generation of wax by-products avoiding need to

    dispose hazardous materials.

No generation of polluting gases our plants very easily

satisfy all the pollution norms for safe operation.

  • Commercial Deployment

We have deployed several commercial plants in our

Nagpur premises capable of processing various capacities

such as 2 TPD (Tons per day) and 5 TPD.

  • The Catalyst

The catalyst used by ANZ waste management ANZ

Catalyst -- is a proprietary catalyst used in the process of

de-polymerization of plastic waste which results in useful

    hydrocarbons (fuels).

The ANZ Catalyst boosts the efficiency of the process and

results in several benefits such as

Significantly higher output of useful liquid

    hydrocarbons (bio-diesel).

    no pollution

    insignificant wax output

    lower reaction temperature

    lower reaction time

The benefits offered by the ANZ catalyst and our expertise

in the process of conversion plastic to oil supported by

our patents over the process allow us to offer the most

efficient and reliable process in the world. Our process

offers significantly higher output in a reliable manner than

all other pyrolysis plants being offered in the market.
