Multimedia art festival “BOSH 2010“

On the open scene in front of the Public Theater in Gevgelija with the exhibi-tion of arts and sculptures named “The Street” from young Macedonia authors on the 3rd of September was open the tree day festival “Bosh 2010”. In front of the audience was read poetry from the Gevgelija poet and actor Boshko Bozadzievski, in whose honor posthumously this festival manifestation is organized. In the frames of the mani-festation were held twenty events among which: Tivelipol film alliance and Asterfest - projection of short movies, exhibition of photography’s from Maja Simovska, promo-tion of the documentary film for Risto Siskov “The ghost of my father” directed by Go-ran Trencovski, graffiti session, art and multimedia performances, “The eye” - theater performance with Elena Dimitrova and Petar Genkov from Bulgaria, cartoon workshop with Danilo Miloshev from Serbia and others. The general sponsor of this festival two years in a row is Apollonia Founda-tion . Jazz vecer

What was remarkable for the end of August is the Jazz manifestation held at Apol-lonia Terrace and organized by the Association of artists in Gevgelija and Apollonia Foundation for the Culture Summer events 2010. This manifestation included art part with exhibition of arts and sculptures, and musical part with the band of the famous Macedonian musician and professor in the Faculty of music in Stip - Goce Micanov. During the wonderful Jazz music the audience had pleasure to look at 20 pieces of art, few sculptures and live art performance of Katerina Cugunska - she was creating art piece for one hour with inspiration from the Jazz music.

In the frames of August events from the Gevgelija culture summer, organized by the City Library Goce Delcev in Apollonia Hotel was held promotion of the book “Echo from waves” from the young poet Vladimir Martinovski. The promotion of this book was on the 25th August, shortly after the finishing of the “Struga poetry nights”, where this master of haiku poetry, won the prestige award “Braka Miladinovci”. Aleksandra Ќaeva and Nikola Madzirov promoted the book “Echo from waves” as book for the small things that are happening to us in everyday life. With big inspiration Madzirov spoke also for the book “Quartet”, for which Martinovski won recognition for best book of the festival “Struga poetry nights”.

Gevgelija autumn 2010 Ten years musical moments

In the frames of manifestation Gevgelija autumn, whose general sponsor is Apollonia Foundation in Apollonia Hotel on the 31 August was held concert - Musical moments. Pieces from Saint-Saens, Schumann, Dallier, Molard I Le-febvre were on the program. Artists that performed the concert were Nadica Ristiќ on oboe and Elena Atanasovska on piano. The public was thrilled from their performance which was rewarded with applauses. This was the first of eight concerts from the program Musical Autumn for 2010 which are dedicated to the 200 anniversary of the birth of Frederic Chopin. Nadica RistiЌ has won more prices, among which more significant is the Special price in the oboe discipline on the International competition Ohrid pearls 2003, and Elena Atanasovska in the same year won the price for best student from Frank Maning Foundation.

With the performance of the Parochial choir “Holly Mary” from Skopje and the City choir “Gortinija” from Gevgelija on the 22 August, on the terrace of Apollonia Hotel was held one more event from Gevgelija culture summere events - Concert of spiritual music.

Gevgelija culture summer 2010 ended on 30 August, and the honor to close the manifestation had the opera singer Mustafa Imeri and pi-ano player Zana Imeri with perform-ance of Napolitano songs. The event was organized by Culture center “Macedonia” from Gevgelija, again in the resort of Apollonia Hotel and with the support of Apollonia Foun-dation.

among youth. That’s why this year for second time we

sponsored the Association for improving the quality of life

of youth GEVDION, for helping them organize basket tour-

nament Gevdion 2010, in which around 20 teams partici-

pated. In very interesting and feisty game the first place

won the team of Hol-Gev Teks. This year for the first time

Apollonia participated with it’s own team. Representatives

of Apollonia basket team were Marjan Mladenovski, Risto

Kapsarov, Mijo Petrov, Marjan Mladenovic and Blaze Koko-

cev. Congratulations for our basketball players for well

played games and for the won forth place.

“Nature Day “

conquers Kozuf mountain

Children who participate in the project “Nature

Day” of Apollonia Foundation, were involved in

the activities of the Mountain club Kozuf from

Gevgelija and took part in the memorial route

march “Dimitar Kangov - Kangata” for climbing

the mountain top of Kozuf. The march started

on Saturday 21st of August with four hours walk

from the picnic place “Smrdliva Voda” until the

place called Adzibarica.

From the 16th to the 20th of August, 200 children

from Gevgelija and Valandovo of age 7-11 years old, had

the opportunity to be part of the sport event Open Fun

Football School which was held traditionally for the 9th

time. This is a humanitarian project that uses joyful

games and pedagogical “fun - football - concept” as a tool

to stimulate the process of democracy, peace, stability

and social cohesion in society and post - conflict recon-

ciliation.

gether through

for the children

and the organization team. Children are our future and

they need our support.

Open fun football schools

In the first day of the march participance took the youngest members

from Nature Day on age from 6 until 9 years old, and for them the

walking path was on the location known as Cavka, where they

learned lessons for season forest fruits, floral vegetation and animal

wildlife characteristic of Kozuf mountain, and they also enjoyed in the

beautiful landscape. The second day, on Sunday 22nd August nine

kids on age from 10 until 14, together with the mountaineers from

mountain club Kozuf, after tree hours walk climbed from the place

Adzibarica to the highest top of Kozuf “Zelen breg” which is on 2.473

meter elevation.

Funding activities of Sports Associations that focus on children’s sport education.

Sponsoring Mountain Clubs and Alpinist expedi-tions.

Our future plans include:

Investing in maintaining the sport fields.

Buying necessary equipment and collaborating with coaches in order to develop sport.
