încerc scriind aceste rânduri, pentru sufletul meu şi pentru cei mulţi, pe care îi simt aproape de mine, să încheg în minte o imagine, dintrun mănunchi întreg de amintiri.

Departe de momentul în care ni se scaldă preocupările de-acum, trăieşte o lume de vis şi de lumină, în care e harte greu să ne mai întoarcem după ce am părăsii-o fără voia noastră, dar în care am dori atât de mult să ne întoarcem câteodată. Acolo, cerul înfloreşte în fiecare zi în dedifei de soare şi firele de iarbă plâng primăvara de bucuria sărutării pe frunte.

Acolo, drumurile sunt albe, poleite cu argint şi cu pietre scumpe, pentru picioarele domnitelor din basme, care s'au scoborît printre oameni.

Acolo, fiecare ochi se înfrăţeşte, nestânjenit de niciun nour prevestitor de furtună, cu zările. Acolo, e atâta lumină şi atâta bucurie ! . . .

lui, în jurul nostru. Necredinţele se scufundă în gropi fără capăt şi nu se mai văd. Dumnezeu e vecinul şi prietenul fiecăruia. Din mormintele lor uitate, strămoşii în­cep să-şi recunoască nepoţii- Se întoarce iarăşi gândul alături de doina româ­nească, care începe pe alocuri să moară. Pe umerii fetelor înfloresc ca în vremile bune, din nou, iile fără seamăn în frumuseţe şi artă. Acolo, în mijlocul lor, sufle­tul se odihneşte ca într'o ogradă cu miros reavăn de fân cosit Acolo, durerile timpului se uită şi rănile se oblogesc fără durere. Acolo nimeni nu e străin, căci fiecare e la el acasă-

E vorba de moralul şi imoralul în arta 'd-a toi felul şi mai ou seamă în literatură.

Constatând că şi din o parte şi din alta S0 exagerează, nu ne vom ataşa nici uneia din. cele două tabere. Nu ne vom ataşa fifndcă nici uni{i nici alţii- nu evită, în discuţiile lor, în" susţinerea temei, despre morală, invectiva şh chiar pçrnografia.

Dar nu numai pentru atât ci jşi pentrucă noi vedem altfel problema, problemă asupra] căreia, pare-ni'se, nu s'au oprit nici unii dintre beligeranţi. - >

Se cfişfihită chestiunea dacă imora'ul se îm­pacă Cu arta, o parte, susţinând că da şf CĂ arta numai alunei este imorală când acel ce so încumetă s'o facă n' are talent, iar czlalaltă parte susţine că, sub niai un motiv imoralu.. nu poate fi socotit o artă sau adnfsă de a-* ceasta. '
