The   idea   started   with   an   abandoned   old  

garage  in  a  community.  It  was  too  worthy  to  

be   demolished,   so   the   people   decided   to  

colors  to  the  community.  With  this  opportu-­‐

nity  we  had  a  chance  to  renew  the  exterior  

of   the   garage   and  with   it   try   to   bring   new

The  Joints

The   joints   between   bamboos   are   made  

without   damaging   the   bamboos,   so   in   the  

future   the   bamboos   can   be   recycled   and  

reused  for  other  purposes.

The   seatbacks   uses   advantage   of   the  

and  can  be  transformed  into  curves.

The   given   material   for   this   project   is   bamboo.  

Bamboo   is  a  sustainable  material,   it  can  be  easily  

repaired  or  reused.  Also  a  challenging  material   to  

later  on  used  to  construct  the  whole  strucutre.

The   House   of  Walls   is   a   project   that   starts  

with   studying   and   analyzing   of   a   classical

The  Project   is  a  building  that  works  as  a  commercial

quarter  in  the  upper  layers.  The  site  is  located  next  to  

an   important   green   belt   of   Taichung   City   and   the    

iconic  building  of  the  Elite  Bookstore.  To  the  north,  it  is  

planned  to  use  for  further  development,  but  currently  

it  is  available  for  civilians  as  a  park.  The  east,  is  mainly

The  Yu-­‐Guan  Island  is  located  at  the  south  of  Tainan  City.  Though  it’s  called  a  island,  

but  it  is  actually  not  to  far  from  land  and  does  not  posses  much  of  a  quality  of  an  

island.  The  only  way  to  get  to  the  island  on  land  is  by  crossing  a  great  bridge  that  

connects  to  the  center  part  of  the  island;  forming  a  clear  division  of  north  and  south.  

Most  of   the   local   residence  uses   the   land  at   the   south,   along  with  a  elementary  

beach,  water  sports,  and  horseback  riding.  The  island  is  full  of  problems,  but  at  the
