เกาะเสม็ดเป็นหนึ่งในเกาะสวรรค์ของประเทศไทย ที่นี่คุณจะได้พบกับชายหาดที่สวยสุดลูกหูลูกตา แนวปะการังที่งดงามดุจสวนบุปชาติ และร้านอาหารรสเยี่ยมในบรรยากาศสบาย ๆ เกาะแห่งนี้เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติทางทะเลและแหล่งทอดเที่ยวยอดนิยมสำาหรับคนไทย โดยเฉพาะในช่วงวันหยุดสุดสัปดาห์ เหตุผลหนึ่งคือเดินทางจากกรุงเทพฯได้อย่างสะดวก (ประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมง) และยังมีนักท่องเที่ยงจำานวนมากที่หลงไหลกับเกาะแห่งนี้ จึงเป็นสถานที่ที่หลีกหนีความวุ่นวายที่ดีเยี่ยมสำาหรับคนที่ต้องการที่ใช้ชีวิตอย่างสบาย ๆ เป็นเวลาหลาย ๆ วัน หลายสัปดาห์หรือหลาย ๆ ปี ถ้าคุณเปรียบเทียบกับเกาะเสม็ดกับสถานที่อื่น ๆ ที่เน้นการท่องเที่ยวเป็นหลักจะมีกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่แตกต่างกัน ที่นี่จะเต็มไปหาดสายที่สวยงาม ความสงบและวิถีชีวิตที่สบายๆ

เกาะกุฎี – เกาะขาม – เกาะปลายตีน ตั้งอยู่ทางตะวันออกของเกาะเสม็ดและห่างจากแผ่นดินใหญ่ประมาณ 6 กม. น้ำาที่นี่ใสสะอาดมาก และคุณสามารถนอนเล่นน้ำาได้ทั้งวัน เกาะแห่งนี้มีชายหาดเพียงแห่งเดียวจึงช่วยลดปัญหาความยุ่งยากในการตัดสินใจ คุณสามารถลงว่ายน้ำา อาบแดด ดำาน้ำาหรือเดินเล่นบนหาดทรายเพื่อเดินค้นพบความงามด้วยตัวคุณเอง เกาะกุฎีพร้อมด้วยเกาะต่าง ๆ ข้างเคียง คือ เกาะขาม และเกาะปลายตีน (แต่ละแห่งห่างกันเพียงแค่ขว้างหินถึง) จึงเหมาะอย่างยิ่งสำาหรับการท่องเที่ยวภายในหนึ่งวันที่ให้ความหลากหลายของชายหาดแบบต่าง ๆ ในช่วงเวลาการพักผ่อนของคุณ

Koh Samet is one of the paradise islands of Thailand. Here you will find gor-geous beaches, beautiful coral reefs and wonderful cosy restaurants. The island is a marine national park and popular destination for Thai people, mostly during weekends. One reason is that Samet is easily accessible from Bangkok (about 2 hours). Also a lot of tourists have fallen in love with the island. It is the perfect refuge for those who want to take it easy for a few days, weeks or years. If you compare Koh Samet with other more tourist-intensive places there is not the same range of activities. Here reigns serenity, beaches and a laid-back lifestyle.

Koh Kudi (Kudee) - Koh Kham - Koh Platenee located East of Koh Samet and about six kilometers from the mainland. Here the water is very clear and you can lay down on a nice beach and just enjoy doing absolutely nothing. The island has only one beach which reduces any decision anxiety. Swim, sunbathe, snorkel or take a walk to discover the island on your own. Koh Kudi with the neighbouring islands Koh Kham and Koh Platenee (only a stonetrhrown between each other) is excellent for a day trip and gives variety to the mainland beach during your vacation.

Koh Chan lies a short trip south of Koh Samet and is not to be confused with Koh Chang! You may want to get to Koh Chan to experience the fantastic snorkelling at the island’s southern coast. If you want to head out to deeper water for diving, you should go to Koh Chan south east coast. Here you can find depths usually around 12 meters but in some places may go down to as deep as 25 meters. The marine life at Koh Chan is awesome and you can encounter lion fishes, sharks, stingrays and other colourful smaller species.

Koh Mun Islands are located just east of Rayong, approximately 5 km from Mae Phim beach. The islands are incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Here it is easy to find harmony. The archipelago consists of three islands: Koh Mun Nai, Koh Mun Klang and Koh Mun Nork. Koh Mun Nai is the turtle sanctuary that was founded by Thailand’s Queen Sirikit. Here, the beautiful sea turtles are bred and well taken care of before being released into their natural habitat. Ko Man Nai is also a habitat to the large flying fox. It feeds exclusively on fruits, nectar and flowers.

Koh Talu is another paradise island with a beautiful beach (see cover pic) and great snorkelling. On Koh Talu you can expect to be mostly to yourself as there is no one living on this island. There are also few tourists and no beach vendors. On the east side there are nice beaches while the western side mostly contains of cliffs and overgrown woodland. Snorkelling is especially good on the back side of the island. One of the cliff walls on the West side of the island has a hole in it, and that is where the island gets it’s name. Talu means “hole” in Thai while “Koh” means Island. So literally the direct translation would be “Island Hole”.

Mae Phim Beach Mae Phim Beach is usually described as “one of the best mainland beaches in Thailand”. The beach is 4.3 km long, of which 2/3 are natural beach, while the other portion has restaurants and sun chairs. Under the umbrellas on the beach, fresh seafood is served at low prices. From the beach, it takes about 20 minutes by speedboat to the paradise island of Koh Samet. The slow boat, which costs 100 baht, (two ways)departs from Ban Phe.

Mae Ramphung BeachNot far from Rayong we find Mae Ramphung Beach, which is a full 12 kilometers long. Along the beach you will find hotels, restaurants, shopping stalls and mini-marts. Mae Ramphung is on the way to Ban Phe and 25 minutes by car only. Mae Ramphung has become known by Europeans in recent years but is still especially popular for Vacationing Thai people.

Suan Son BeachApproximately one kilometer from the fishing village of Ban Phe is Suan Son Beach and it extends about one kilometer. There are restaurants and shopping stands situated along the beach roads. In the shade tree areas of the small beach restaurants, fresh seafood and Thai food are served. From the beach you can usually spot Ban Phe and the colourful fishing boats skimming the clear blue

water. In the distance you can see the very tall condominiums and apartments in Mae Ramphung. Many European families have also found their second home here at Suan Son Beach.

Kim, Ken, Freedom, Be Happy BeachJust a few kilometers from Mae Phim on the way to Ban Phe, we find a pair of beautiful beaches that have become especially popular among foreigners who visit Mae Phim. -We are talking about Coca-Cola, Kim, Ken Free-dom and Be Happy Beach. Nicknames are a part of everyday life here in Thailand and beaches are no exception. Often the beach is named after a resort or restaurant who want to claim the beach as their own. Coca-Cola beach lies about 3-4 km to the West of Mae Phim. You find it after turning by the big Coke & Pepsi sign, hence the name of the beach. 2 km up is Kim and Ken Beach.

Saeng Chan Beach is located in Rayong. With over 100 little bays and jetties that has carved out and sculpted this is a nice place to hang out on, daytime or evenings by the small restaurants by the beach. If you take time to admire and really appreciate the rock formations and natures beautiful landscaping, magic can be found on each and every beach in Rayong. There are several private beaches in Rayong with private restaurants.

หาดแม่รำาพึงไม่ไกลจากระยองนัก เราก็จะพบกับหาดแม่รำาพึงซึ่งมีความยาวถึง 12 กิโลเมตร ตลอดแนวชายหาดคุณก็จะพบกับโรงแรม ร้านอาหาร แผงค้าและร้านสะดวกซื้อ หาดแม่รำาพึงอยู่ระหว่างทางไปบ้านเพและใช้เวลาเดินทางเพียง 25 นาทีโดยทางรถยนต์ หาดแม่รำาพึงเป็นที่รู้จักอย่างกว้างขวางของชาวยุโรปในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา และยังเป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนในวันหยุดยอดนิยมของคนไทย

หาดสวนสนห่างจากหมู่บ้านชาวประมงที่บ้านเพไปประมาณหนึ่งกิโลเมตรก็คือหาดสวนสนที่ทอดยาวประมาณหนึ่งกิโลเมตร ที่นี่จะมีร้านอาหารและแผงขายของตั้งอยู่ตลอดแนวถนนเลียบชายหาด บริเวณใต้ร่มเงาต้นไม้ของร้านอาหารริมหาดนั้น จะบริการอาหารทะเลสดและอาหารไทยแสนอร่อย จากชายหาดนี้คุณจะได้พบบ้านเพและเรือประมงสีสันละลานตาแล่นตัดกับน้ำาทะเลมีฟ้าใส และคุณจะเห็นคอนโดมิเนียมและอพาร์ทเมนต์สูง ๆ

บนหาดแม่รำาพึงที่มองเห็นได้ แต่ไกล ครอบครัวชาวยุโรปจำานวนมายังชอบมาพักที่นี่จนกลายเป็นบ้านแห่งที่สองของพวกเขาที่นี่ ที่หาดสวนสน

RAYONGfruit as you can. A total of 25 different varieties of fruit are available to taste depending on the season. Additionally, you will stop and eat papaya salad which is referred to as “Som tam” in Thailand. All you can eat. It is fun to see how the fruit grows and surely you will find fruits you’ve never seen before. Open daily 06:30 to 18:00.

Lotus Crystal : If you are in search of new crystal products, there is a crystal factory about 30km North of Rayong. The factory, which is the only one in Thailand, is open 08.00 to 17.00 every day except Sundays. At our visit they produced champagne glass that was sold for 300 Thb. / piece from the showroom.Open Monday to Saturday 09.30 - 17.00.

Rayong old town: On the way into old town, you will pass local food markets. Thais will surely find it funny that you have found their hidden little neighbourhood. A pleas-ant mix of cafes, restaurants and other shops relieves each other in the old buildings that are made of teak. Opposite Wat Loom!

Wat Loom : Wat Loom has some very nice temple buildings. In one of them you will find a gold-colored statue of King Taksin who came to Rayong when the Burmese attacked Ayut-thaya. Since King Taksin was half Chinese, the temple is built in the Chinese style. In the temple, there is also a glass display box with King Taksin hats and sword from the period around year 1766 (year 2309 Buddhist era).

Phra Chedi Klangnam : The Chedi is 10 meters high and located in the middle of the Rayong River. On the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month, a celebration is held to change the robe covering the pagoda. - You can also find the Mangrove Learning centre near the entrance to the Chedi.

Nightlife : Rayong is the perfect place for a good night out. There are lots of restaurants serving good, affordable food while listening to music from live bands. Some of them are Rayong Brew, Baantawan, or Zoosd.

Shopping : For those who like shopping, Rayong has a wide range of both local markets, shopping malls and other places to spend your money on. Laemthong is the place for those who seeking a large department store. They have just about everything!

Saeng Chan Beach : in Rayong is worth visiting. The beach consists more than 100 little bays and jetties built with large stones. If you take time to admire and really appreciate the rock formations and natures beautiful landscaping, magic can be found on each and every beach in Rayong. There are several private beaches in Rayong with small easier beach restaurants to visit evening time. Daytime and lunch is served in the restaurants across the street.

Wat Pa Pradu: Constructed in the Ayutthaya period in Thai-land and one of the leading temples in the area. It features a large reclining Buddha which is over 11 meters long and over 3 meters high. The unique thing about this Buddha is that it reclines on its left side (usually on the right side). This difference makes it highly revered amongst Thai people.

Sri Muang Park : was used in the past for executing prisoners. Now the park is rebuilt and glorified so please don’t worry! You will find Sri Muang Park in Rayong, behind the city’s Town Hall. In Sri Muang Park you also find the statue Phra Phuttha Angkhirot which Thais show great respect for. The park also houses a children’s playground and fitness equipment for adults.

Suphattra Land : Entry fee 300 Baht and you get to eat as much

Wat Pra Pradu. The Buddha reclines on the left side (usually on the right side). This difference makes it highly revered amongst Thai people.

วัดป่าประดู่: ก่อสร้างในสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาและเป็นหนึ่งในวัดชั้นนำาในย่านนี้ ในวัดมีพระพุทธไสยาสน์ขนาดใหญ่ที่ยาวกว่า 11 เมตรและสูงกว่า 3 เมตร สิ่งที่แตกต่างเกี่ยวกับพระพุทธไสยาสน์นี้คือการประทับนอนตะแคงซ้าย (ปรกติจะประทับนอนตะแคงขวา) ความแตกต่างนี้จึงเป็นที่เคารพนับถือยิ่งในหมู่ชาวไทย

สวนศรีเมือง: ในอดีตเป็นสถานที่ใช้กักขังนักโทษ ขณะนี้สวนแห่งนี้ได้ทำาการสร้างใหม่และมีความสวยงาม ดังนั้นจึงไม่ต้องกลัวว่าจะพบกับความหดหู่ของที่คุมขัง คุณจะพบสวนศรีเมืองตั้งอยู่ด้านหลังศาลากลางจังหวัดระยอง ภายในสวนคุณยังพบกับที่ประดิษฐานของพระพุทธอังคีรสซึ่งเป็นที่เคารพยิ่งของชาวไทย ภายในสวนยังมีสนามเด็กเล่นและเครื่องออกกำาลังกายสำาหรับผู้ใหญ่

วัดลุ่มมหาชัยชุมพล: ภายในวัดลุ่มมหาชัยชุมพลมีอุโบสถที่สวยงามมาก และในบางแห่งเราจะได้พบกับพระบรมรูปสีทองอร่ามของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมหาราชที่ได้ยกกองทัพมาที่ระยองเมื่อพม่าเข้าตีกรุงศรีอยุธยา เนื่องจากพระเจ้าตากสินเป็นลูกครึ่งไทยจีน วัดแห่งนี้จึงสร้างในแบบสถาปัตยกรรมจีน ภายในวัดยังได้นำาเอาพระมาลาของสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสินมาตั้งแสดงอยู่ในตู้กระจก และพระแสงดาบตั้งแต่ยุคปี 1766 (ปีพุธศักราช 2309) มาแสดงไว้ด้วย

พระเจดีย์กลางน้ำา : องค์เจดีย์มีความสูง 10 เมตรตั้งอยู่กลาแม่น้ำาระยอง พอถึงวันเพ็ญเดือนสิบสองของทุกปีจะมีงานประเพณีห่มผ้าพระเจดีย์ - นอกจากนี้คุณยังพบกับศูนย์การเรียนรู้ป่าชายเลนที่ใกล้กับทางเข้าเจดีย์ด้วย

สวนสุนทรภู่ : สวนสุนทรภู่อยู่ห่างจากหาดแม่พิมพ์ประมาณ 5 กม. รูปปั้นของสุนทรภู่ กวีเอกที่มีชื่อเสียงของไทยตั้งตระหว่านบนเนินและด้านล่างจะเป็นรูปปั้น ผลงานต่าง ๆ ที่มีชื่อของท่าน เช่น พระอภัยมณีเป่าปี่ นางผีเสื้อสมุทรที่โผล่ขึ้นมาจากน้ำา

Shopping: Klaeng is a genuine small Thai town. You can find food stores such as Tesco/Lotus and also big outdoor markets and other small shops for easier shopping.

Market: On Tuesdays there is a BIG market a couple 100 meters up on road 344 to BKK that is worth a visit. Thursdays they have the market in Klaeng city which is a little bit smaller. The shopping is focused to the local population and consists of locally made merchandise and other goodies.

Restaurants: There are a number of restaurants, most of them addressed to the local audience. But, if you have not yet tried the BBQ buffet restaurant the time is now! There are at least three to chose from. You pick your food and cook it yourself over a coal-fired griddle. Eat as much as you can for under 150 BAHT. Drinks are not included. Families with younger children will per-haps find their way to Tesco / Lotus and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), yummy!

Nightlife: The nightlife in Klaeng is greater than you might think. Fusion disco is about 300 meter up on Rd.. 344 which is the main road to Bangkok. In Klaeng city you can find some live music restaurants and smaller pubs.

Khao Chamao National park: You can visit the beautiful waterfall and swim in the natural pools below. Good shoes, swim wear and a camera are things you may want to bring. About 30 km north from Klaeng.

Orchid farm: If you like flowers the orchid farm on Rd. 3181 couple km on the way to Mae Phim is something for you. 4 orchids 100 BAHT!

Koh Samet Most of the people who comes to Ban Phe do it for the ferry to Koh Samet. The slow ferry takes about 45 minutes (to the pier Na Dan, 100 Baht two ways/person). If you want to travel faster there is speedboats. Price from 500 Thb/pers one way. One other reason is Christies Pub located on the opposite side to central Phe Pier. The serve great food and drinks and rent out rooms. Petras is the store for anyone who wants to revel in foreign foods.

Rayong Aquarium A nice place for the family when the kids get tired of the beach (do they ever?). Here you can see sharks, stingrays and all other different species that live in the waters around Rayong. 30 B. entry fee, under 120 cm for free! You find the aquarium 10 minutes south-west from Ban Phe city. Open Mon - Fri 10 to 16, weekends 10-17.

Night market Stroll around at local markets. It is fun and the prices are low. You’ll find food, clothing, watches and a lot of other things in the market in Ban Phe.

Ban Phe Kiting School Surfing, windsurfing and paragliding we already know! Now the new fad Kiting arrived and it looks like it’s here to stay. Smaller surfboard on your feet and a customized parachute is needed. Fun and not to difficult the owner to BP Kiting school promise. You can rent your gear here!

Tamnanpar - Classic Forrest The restaurant is preserved in a spectacular natural environment offering tranquillity. They also have a resort with a water land for kids. You can stay overnight in the cosy bungalows that they rent out.

Mae Ramphung Beach is a white sandy beach almost 12 km long. The beach is the longest beach on the eastern side of Rayong. Generally, the beach looks better and is cleaner and less crowded toward the western end of the beach. Most of the accommodations here are in the mid-price range. You can find lots of breezy seaside restaurants/cafes and smaller souvenir shops.

Visitors to Mae Ramphung are mostly Thais, but many foreign families have also found their way here and have created a second home. The nearly 12 kilometres long beach are located just 20 minutes from the City of Rayong. The fact that it is close to Rayong makes it convenient and close to shopping. For those who want to go bowling or sit in the cinemas for a good movie, will find it in Rayong.

Rayong Aquarium is on the way to Ban Phe, only 10 minutes away from Rayong and will impress the adults as well as the children. 30 Thb / entry. (see Ban Phe Map). OpenMon - Fri 10:00 to 16:00, weekends 10-17.

Rayong Weather Station is located on the west end of the beach and reports the weather from the area.

Surfing / Kiting This beach is a great beach for surfing. Mainly in the monsoon season from May to October. The best surfing is on the far end of the east side of the beach wish is more protected from the wind.

Beaches: Most of all the beautiful beaches are located on the east side of the island. If you arrive with a slow boat you will certainly end up at the North Na Dan Pier and from there you travel by Songthaew which is a pickup taxi with two outdoor seats. There are more than 10 different beaches on this side. The most popular is White Sand Beach and Wong Duern Beach!

Shopping: The best place for shopping you can find around White Sand Beach. I would not say that Samet is a shopping destination, but you can find most of what you need for your days at the beach and maybe a little more.

Restaurants: There are a number of restaurants in Samet. Most of them are located at White Sand Beach and Vong Duern Beach and on the road from the ferry to the national park office (WSB). The beaches also have good performances with a fire show every night. Many restaurants on the beach will set up their buffet with seafood and other nice dishes, all at affordable prices. However you can expect the prices to be about 20 percent higher compared to the mainland. Just lean back and enjoy while you eat and drink!

Nightlife: The nightlife on Samet consists mainly of the activities on each individual beach. Most of the nightlife you will find at the two biggest beaches, at White Sand and Wongduern Beach.After the fire-show they usually arrange more party for those who have the energy and just do not want to go back to the room.... yet. You may as well sleep in your sun chair the day after - cheers!

HTMS Prasae At the inlet to Prasae river you can find an old U.S. military ship, US Gallup. Gallup was renamed to HTMS Prasae in 1951 when she was taken over by the Thai navy. Two 18-Hole championship golf courses, planned by Gary Panks and David Graham. Their mission was to build a club that would be recognised for its exceptional standards in the most prestigious golfing circles in Thai-land and throughout the Pacific Rim.

Century Chonburi Country Club is located in the middle of pineapple fields. The course is developed on a hilly country and nicely laid out. Good greens and recently renovated. It is probably one of the best value for money courses on the Eastern Seaboard.

Phoenix Golf club is designed by Dennis Grif-fiths and is set on wooded, rolling terrain. This Pattaya golf course comprises three nines - Ocean, Lake and Mountain, and has magnifi-cent views of the surrounding mountains and the Gulf of Thailand.

Pattana Golf Club & Resort is an all encom-passing sport and recreation resort. Located a mere 90 minutes from Bangkok, neighbor-ing the coastal areas of Bangsaen, Pattaya, and Rayong. The championship 27-hole golf course, and 7,000 capacity stadium.

Pattaya Country Club is spread out on over 2,000 rai of park like land amist gentle rolling hills and is one of the closest courses from Pattaya. The golf course is relatively easy and suites golfers of all abilities.

Pleasant Valley is located amongst the mountains north of Pattaya and is cooled by the breezes blowing across the golf course. The Khao Kheow national park with lakes and water-fall are located only a few minutes drive from the club house.

Plutaluang Navy Golf Course - B9

Plutaluang Royal Thai Navy Golf Course opened in 1969 and is a 30 minute drive South of Pattaya towards Sattahip. Plutaluang is a must play for nature lovers. Built around a huge natural reservoir shortly after the Vi-etnam War it abounds with amazing flowers, birds and small forest creatures.

Rayong Century Golf Club

Tees varies from 5,150 to 6,910 yards. Each hole offers a challenge to the professional and beginner alike. Apart from water, there are 120 strategically placed bunkers. Eleven of these bunkers can be found on the long par four, eighteenth, which requires two per-fectly strokes to reach the putting surface.

Rayong Green Valley is a picturesque golf course framed by rolling hills and by colorful flowers and shrubbery. The course shares the same compound with its sister, St.Andrew’s 2000. The course have relatively small greens with subtle breaks and slopes.

Siam Country Club Old Course is the first pri-vately owned golf club in Thailand. The golf course opened in 1971, and had hosted the Thailand Open 4 times together with many Asian Golf Circuits, and most recently after the renovation in 2007, becomes home of the LPGA in Thailand since 2007.

St.Andrews2000 was designed by Desmond Muirhead in 2000. Located 120 Kilometers southeast of Bangkok and a short drive from the seaside resort of Pattaya. The sprawling par 74 course adjoins its sister course, older, well established Rayoung Green Valley.

Opened 1993 and renovated in 2011. Some holes play right along the Bangpakong river bank, while others feature a wide lagoon, which encircles the course. The lagoon provides a useful buffer zone, protecting the villas on its opposite bank from any wayward shots.

The latest addition golf course of the St.Andrews2000 group. It shares same venue with St.Andrews2000 and Rayong Green Val-ley. The course is developed on top of the hill that has breathakingly panoramic view and offers a challenging and exciting on rolling fairways.

The course is carved through a pristine rain forest of full-grown trees that still provide sanctuary to a variety of native birds. The gentle countours of the fairways, the volcan-ic-like greens and the subtle water place-ments all combine to make the Emerald one the most challenging golf courses in Thailand.

Treassure Hill Golf Club Wangjuntr Golf Park

The course has some smallish occasional wa-ter hazards to negotiate and fewer than usual bunkers that are a bit larger than normal, and there are several dogleg holes demanding that you position your tee shots carefully. With challenging sloping fairways and greens.

The uniqueness of Wangjuntr is the two wounderful course designs and also the pris-tine landscape that has been left in place. The course is landscaped in an area with rubber trees and pineapple, sugarcane and cassava plantations and converted into two golf courses and a beautiful golf resort.

SHOPPING OUTSIDE RAYONGPATTAYA - Central Festival

If you looking for shopping on a larger scale, the nearest town is Pattaya. From Rayong, it takes just under an hour with car/taxi to Pattaya. The price for private taxi waiting while you shop is pretty cheap and depends on where you are travelling from.

In Pattaya you will find Mike’s Shopping Plaza, Royal Garden Plaza and Central Festival. Mike´s is the oldest shopping house while Central Festival opened its doors in 2011. There is also a lot of vendors along Pattaya Beach Road. There you can find clothes, bags, shoes, jewellery and decor.

If one day is not enough for your shopping trip you can sleep overnight and try out Pattaya’s famous nightlife and the nice restaurants. Hotels can be found from about 500 Thb. / night.

RAYONGWe start by noting that the best shopping in the region is in Rayong City. The newly renovated and expanded Laemthong Shopping Centre has shops and restaurants of all kinds. There’s also bowling and cinemas. Apart from Laemthong, Rayong has Big C, Tesco Lotus, IT Computer City, Index, Home Pro, Home Mart, SB Furniture and many other stores. Clothing, sunglasses, watches, shoes and jewellery are some of the items you can find in the Laemthong shopping complex. There is also numerous restaurants.

Local markets Rayong seem to be favoured with lot of market areas. Behind Tesco / Lotus is considered to be the biggest and best of them in weekends. Going to the market is an experience in itself, whether you buy something or not. In the market you can find everything from fruit and fish to souvenirs and used scooter parts.Beside scooter parts you may find great food, usually you can find some electronic items, ceramics and grooming products.

BAN PHEIn Ban Phe the shopping is smaller. You can find curtains made of seashells and some clothing. Maybe a new hat or a new sarong! Petras is a small grocery store that many foreigners like. They have most of the things that other stores do not have, like imports, wine, cheese, olives,

sausages, hamburger and even Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Do not miss the local market on the outskirts of Ban Phe. Small shops that mostly sell T-shirts, trinkets and food. Outside you will find the market selling dried shrimp, squid and other dried products. You may also see some clothing vendors along the way.

MAE PHIMMae Phim is more a haven for relaxation and enjoying a peaceful time while on your vacation. There are small shops that sell curtains made of seashells and other local souvenirs. Even swimsuits and pool toys are available in both the small shops and from the large truck that traffics the main road. There is also a mini-mart on the beach where you find beverages, ice cream and other necessary things. (yes…we consider ice cream a necessity). Take the opportunity to buy a souvenir T-shirt with Mae Phim printed on it and your wishes will come true : )

KLAENGKlaeng is a genuine small Thai town. You can find food stores, markets and other small shops for easier shopping. On Tuesdays there is a BIG market, a few 100 meters up the Rd. 344 to BKK (map page 29, A4). On Thursdays you find the market in Klaeng City which is a little bit smaller. Laemtong shopping mall in Rayong is newly renovated and expanded

แกลงแกลงเป็นเมืองแบบไทยขนานแท้ คุณจะพบกับร้นอาหาร ตลาดและร้านค้าย่อยอื่น ๆ ที่สามารถจับจ่ายได้อย่างสะดวก ทุกวันอังคารจะมีตลาดนัดขนาดใหญ่ที่ยาวเป็นหลายร้อยเมตรตลอดทางหลวงหมายเลข 344 สู่กรุงเทพฯ (ดูแผนที่ หน้า 29, A4) ทุกวันพฤหัสฯ คุณจะพบกับตลาดนัดในเมือง

พัทยา – เซ็นทรัล เฟสติวัลถ้าคุณกำาลังมองหาที่ช็อปปิ้งขนาดใหญ่ เมืองที่อยู่ใกล้ที่สุดคือพัทยา นั่งรถหรือแท็กซี่จากระยองไปพัทยาใช้เวลาไม่ถึงหนึ่งชั่วโมง ราคาสำาหรับแท็กซี่ส่วนบุคคลที่สามารถรอคุณ ขณะกำาลังช็อปปิ้งได้มีราคาค่อนข้างถูก และขึ้นอยู่กับสถานที่ที่คุณจะไป

ในพัทยา คุณจะพบกับห้างไมค์ช็อปปิ้งพลาซ่า รอยัลการ์เด้นพลาซ่า และเซ็นทรัลเฟสติวัล ห้างไมค์เป็นห้างที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดในขณะที่เซ็นทรัล เฟสติวัลเพิ่งเปิดในปี 2554 นอกจากนี้ยังมีแผงค้ามากมายตลอดแนวถนนชายหาดพัทยาที่คุณสามารถหาซื้อเสื้อผ้า กระเป๋า รองเท้า เครื่องประดับและอุปกรณ์ตกแต่ง
