Ashinaga’s summer camps (Tsudoi/つどい) run every year and are designed for orphaned students from all-over Japan. We are currently recruiting international volunteers studying in Japan to be part of our global program. For the past four years, we have globalized our summer camps by inviting interns from abroad to improve our students global perspective and create a more diversified gathering.

• Training program (planning international activities); 1st July 2017 @ Tokyo Olympic Center (Exceptions can made for those unable to attend.)

• Summer camp for high school students in August 　 (8 venues nationwide)

• University Students Summer Camp (Saiko, Yamanashi Prefecture) 30th August to 5th September 2017.

What is "TSUDOI" ?Interested in improving your Japanese? Passionate about international exchange? Looking to have a meaningful summer vacation? Ashinaga is recruiting international students in Japan as summer camp volunteers. Ashinaga summer camps are designed for Japanese students who have lost one or both parents. Volunteers will attend a camp, interact with students and expose students to different walks of life around the globe.The aim of the camps is to give students a sense of community and to create a social support network in which students from similar backgrounds encourage and up lift one another. Join our community and make a difference in a student’s life!

ROLES• In collaboration with Ashinaga overseas interns, you

will be required to plan and implement an international program.

• During the summer camp, you will join small teams of students and interact with them.

DESIRED PERSONALITIES• Sense of humor, sociable, and empathetic• Punctual, respectful of rules and regulations, well

behaved.

ELIGIBILITY• International students studying in Japanese universities

and currently living in Japan.

• Able to attend the Tsudoi (summer camp) training on 1st July 2017. The training will take place at the Tokyo Olympic Center (for volunteers unable to attend, exceptions can be made).

• You should be able to participate in at least one of the summer camps in August. We have 8 camps nationwide, please refer to the schedule.

• Basic Japanese level is required.

• Note: The opportunity is open to 55 students ONLY.

BENEFITS (COMPENSATION)Roundtrip transportation to the training session and summer camp venues will be provided. During the summer camps, full accommodation including the meals will be provided.

AWARDAshinaga will award certificates of completion to volunteers at the end of the program.
