GOSPE SINJSKA—MOLI ZA NAS!

OUR DEEPEST NEEDS The word of God serves up a tremendous feast for us today. Isaiah beckons all who hunger and thirst to come to the Lord for satisfaction. The psalmist cries out, “The hand of the Lord feeds us; he answers all our needs” (Psalm 145:16). Saint Paul tells us that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Finally, in the Gospel, we hear the story of the miraculous feeding of over five thousand people from a mere five loaves and two fish. Most of us have our material needs met on a day-to-day basis. These scriptures, nevertheless, have much to say to the contemporary believer. We must ask ourselves, “Where are my deepest hungers? Where are my thirsts?” After material needs are satisfied and, in some cases, over-satisfied, many people still experience a deep longing for spiritual balance and well-being. As the loaves and fish are multiplied in today’s Gospel, perhaps our prayer can be a longing for the satisfaction of the deepest needs that only God can fill.

VELIKA GOSPA ANNOUCMENTS

Velika Gospa is just around the corner. This year, amid the pandemic that the whole word is affected with, our celebration will have to be modificated, but we will do as much as possible to keep our traditions alive.

NOVENA TO OUR LADY OF SINJ

Novena starts on Thursday, August 6. Every night at 7 PM we will be praying before the image of Miraculous Lady of Sinj. We re-mind you that our capacity is 140 people per mass. We kindly ask you to register for Novena.

VELIKA GOSPA DAY

- PROCESSION will be shorter this year. We will not have big parade with floats and music, but Gospa will be out on the streets. This year we celebrate 115th Procession in hon-or of Gospa Sinjska.

- MASSES will be celebrated on Velika Gospa in honor of our Blessed Mother. We will have multiple masses on that day.

Mass Schedule: - 8:00 a.m. - English Mass - 11:00 a.m. - Croatian High Mass - 5:00 p.m. - Bilinqual Youth Mass Morning and evening mass will be celebrated in church so please register. - FOOD (preordered and safely pre-packed) will be available for purchase. Check on the side for all the details and call the recto-ry to make an order. - FLOWERS - If you would like to give a donation for the flowers, please contact Lou-is and Mary Scalise, Ken and Jan Zekich, or Ivan and Vesna Jureta. My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.

PILGRIMAGE TO HOLY HILL, WI

Our annual pilgrimage to the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Holy Hill, WI will be on Saturday, August 29. There will be a bus going from our parish at 7:30 a.m. If you will like to join us on the bus, please, call our Parish Office. Rosary and confessions start at 10:30 a.m., holy mass at 11:00 a.m.

VELIKA GOSPA OBAVIJESTI

Bliži nam se proslava Velike Gospe. U ovim novim i čudnim okolnos ma u kojima se nalazimo i naša će proslava Velike Gospe bi nešto drugačija, ali ćemo učini sve da svoju tradiciju i naše gospojinske običaje sačuv-amo. Ove godine naša župa obilježava 115. obljetnicu od početka procesije u čast naše

nebeske zaš tnice Čudotvorne Gospe Sinjske.

DEVETNICA U ČAST VELIKOJ GOSPI I ove godine ćemo se duhovno priprema za Gospojinu Devetnicom u našoj crkvi. S nama će bi različi svećenici i duhovnici. Kapacitet naše crkve je još uvijek oko 140 ljudi. Zato vas molimo da računate na to. Najavite se kod Mare u župnome uredu za svete mise kroz devetnicu. Dovoljno je jednom javi za sve večeri kada ćete bi na svetoj misi.

VELIKA GOSPA - 15. kolovoza

- PROCESIJA će ove godine bi nešto drugač-ija, malo kraća i bez velikih parada i glazbe. U molitvi ćemo pra Gospin lik. Naša će Majka bi na ulica-ma, procesiju ćemo ima i naša će se duga tradicija nastavi .

- SVETE MISE ćemo slavi na Veliku Gospu kako to obično činimo. Glavnu svetu misu, onu posl-ije procesije, planiramo ima vani da svi možemo su-djelova . Raspored misa: - 8:00 a.m. - Misa na engleskome - 11:00 a.m. - Svečana hrvatska sveta misa - 5:00 p.m. - Večernja sveta misa za mlade Za jutarnju i večernju svetu misu molimo da se najavite, za svečanu nije potrebno.

- HRANA će se moći kupi na Veliku Gospu. Tradicionalni okusi janje ne, roš lja itd. Ipak, ove godine ćemo traži narudžbe unaprijed. Svi detalji su objašnjeni nalijevo.

- CVIJEĆE - donaciju za cvijeće u spomen vaših pokojnih ili na vaše nakane možete da Ivanu i Vesni Jureta ili Louisu i Mary Scalise. Hvala!

- TOMBOLA - Mnogi od vas su već kupili svoje karte za ovogodišnju tombolu kojom podupirete rad naše župe. Hvala vam na tome. Po čemo i ostale da učine isto.

ČIN DUHOVNE PRIČESTI

Isuse moj, vjerujem da si prisutan u Presvetom Sakramentu.

Ufam se u te, ljubim te nada sve. Iz ove ljubavi kajem se od srca za sve grijehe i obećajem da ću se čuvati svakoga grijeha.

Moja duša čezne za tobom, ali ja te ne mogu sada primiti

u Presvetom Sakramentu, dođi barem duhovnim načinom u moje srce.

Isuse moj, klanjam ti se kao da si u mom srcu stvarno svojim presvetim Tijelom prisutan

i sjedinjujem se s tobom. O, ne daj da se ikada od tebe rastavim!

Tvoj sveti blagoslov sišao na mene i ostao vazda sa mnom. Amen.
