Información General de SeguridadADVERTENCIA
Para reducir el riesgo de incendio, descarga eléctrica o lesiones a personas, considere lo siguiente: a. Utilice esta unidad sólo de la manera indicada por
el fabricante. Si tiene alguna pregunta, póngase encontacto con el fabricante.
b. Antes de reparar o limpiar el ventilador, desconectela alimentación eléctrica en el panel de servicioprincipal y bloquearlo para evitar que la alimentaciónse active accidentalmente. Si el panel no se puedebloquear de forma segura, coloque un anuncioprominente de advertencia o una etiqueta.
c. El trabajo de instalación y el cableado eléctricodebe ser realizado por una persona (s) calificado deacuerdo con todos los códigos y normas aplicables,incluyendo los códigos y normas de construcciónresistentes al fuego.
d. Se necesita suficiente aire para la combustióny escape de gases a través del tubo de humos(chimenea) del equipo quemador de combustiblepara evitar el flujo inverso. Siga las instruccionesy medidas de seguridad del fabricante del equipode calefacción, tales como las publicadas por laAsociación Nacional de Protección contra Incendios(NFPA), y la Sociedad Americana de Calefacción,Refrigeración y Aire Acondicionado (ASHRAE) y lasautoridades locales.
e. Al cortar o perforar la pared o el techo, no dañe elcableado eléctrico ni otros servicios ocultos.
f. Los ventiladores con sistemas de extracción siempredeben contar con un escape hacia el exterior.
g. Esta unidad puede tener bordes afilados. Tengacuidado para evitar accidentes durante la instalacióny limpieza.
h. Este ventilador debe estar conectado a tierra.
Modelo AWDEstos ventiladores axiales están diseñados para extraer la ventilación en habitaciones pequeñas y medianas que cuentan con calefacción. La cubierta esta hecha de plástico blanco; la rejilla frontal puede ser de color blanco o metálico.

PRECAUCIÓN
1. Para uso general de ventilación. Sólo para usoen instalaciones que no estén clasificados paraincendios. No extraiga materiales, vaporespeligrosos o explosivos. No lo instale en área decocina. Solamente para instalación en techo.
2. Sólo para uso interior. Instalar la parte movible a unadistancia mínima de 7 pies (2.1 metros) sobre el niveldel suelo.
3. Para evitar daños al motor, desequilibrio en elpropulsor y ruido excesivo, mantenga los polvos deconstrucción, suciedad, etc. lejos de la unidad.
4. Antes de la instalación, revise que la unidad notenga daños visibles en la cubierta y propulsor.Revise en interior de la cubierta y asegúrese de queno haya partes sueltas que puedan dañar las aspasde la turbina.
5. Lea la etiqueta de especificaciones del productopara más información y requisitos.
6. No apto para que los niños o cualquier persona queno está en condiciones de seguir estas pautas deseguridad.
7. Conecte el interruptor a un sistema de cableado fijo.La distancia entre los circuitos y los polos debe serde al menos 1⁄8 pulg.

2 Ventiladores Axiales
EnsamblajeEl ventilador esta diseñado para conectarse a ductos de 3 15⁄16 pulg. (100 mm), 4 15⁄16 pulg. (125 mm) y 5 7⁄8 pulg. (150 mm). Se puede instalar el ventilador con 4 tornillos (horizontal o vertical, véanse las figuras 1 y 2), en el techo, chimenea o en el ducto. Las opciones de instalación se muestran en las figuras 1 y 2.
1. La conexión de los ventiladores AWD semuestran en la Figura 3, la instalación en lasfiguras 4-10.
2. Estos ventiladores están diseñados para unfuncionamiento a largo plazo sin la desconexiónde la red. El movimiento del aire debe coincidircon la dirección del indicador en la cubierta delventilador. Los ventiladores pueden operar atemperaturas ambiente entre 40°F (5°C) y 170°F(77°C).
3. El grado de protección contra el acceso a partespeligrosas y penetración del agua es IP 34.
4. Las superficies del ventilador necesitan serlimpiadas de suciedad y polvo con regularidadutilizando un paño suave y húmedo y undetergente suave (ver figuras 11-16).
5. La entrada de líquidos a motores eléctricosdebe ser evitada. Después de la limpieza, lassuperficies del ventilador deben secarse.
NOTA
La construcción del ventilador se está mejorando constantemente, y algunos modelos pueden diferir ligeramente de los descritos en este manual.

Deje un espacio mínimo en la salida del ventilador de dos veces el diámetro del tamaño del ducto.

General Safety InformationWARNING
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to persons, observe the following: a. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the
manufacturer. If you have questions, contact themanufacturer.
b. Before servicing or cleaning unit, switch power offat service panel and lock the service disconnectingthe means to prevent power from being switched on accidentally. When the service disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.
c. Installation work and electrical wiring must bedone by qualified person(s) in accordance with allapplicable codes and standards, including fire-ratedconstruction codes and standards.
d. Sufficient air is needed for proper combustion andexhausting of gases through the flue (chimney) of fuelburining equipment to prevent backdrafting. Followthe heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline andsafety standards, such as those published by theNational Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and theAmerican Society of Heating, Refrigeration and AirConditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and the local codeauthorities.
e. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do notdamage electrical wiring and other hidden utilities.
f. Fans with exhaust ducts must always be vented tothe outdoors.
g. This unit may have sharp edges and glass panel.Use caution to avoid being cut when installing andcleaning.
h. This unit must be grounded.
Model AWDThe units are axial fans designed for extract ventilation of small and medium size rooms that are heated in winter time. Fans are made of white plastic; color of front panel can be white or metallic.

CAUTION
1. For general ventilation use only. For use in non-fire rated installations only. Do not use exhausthazardous or explosive materials and vapors. Donot install in a cooking area. Install indicated type oflamp only.
2. For use in one- and two-family dwellings only. Installin interior wall, at least 7 feet (2.1 meters) above thefloor.
3. To avoid motor damage and noise and/or unbalanced impeller, keep drywall spray,construction dust, etc. off power unit.
4. Before installation, unit one must be convinced ofabsense of visible damage of impeller and housing.Inward housing must not be parts, which candamage to blades of the impeller.
5. Please read specification label on product for furtherinformation and requirements.
6. Not for installation by children or any person who isunable to follow these safety guidelines.
7. Connect through switch built into fixed wiring. Gapbetween breaker contacts on all poles must not beless than 1⁄8 inches.
8. Do not close or block unit inlets and outlets inorder to allow optimal air passage. Do not sit or putobjects on the unit.
9. Fan must be kept in manufacturer’s packaging inventilated room at temperatures between 41OF (5OC)and 104OF (40OC) and relative humidity not more than80%.

2 Axial Fans
Assembly
Fans are compatible with 3 15⁄16 inch (100 mm), 4 15⁄16 inch (125 mm), and 5 7⁄8 inch (150 mm) diameter ducts. Fans can be mounted with 4 screws and plugs (horizontally or vertically, see Figures 1 and 2), to the ceiling, ventilation shaft or round duct. Installation options are shown on figures 1 and 2.
1. Connection for AWD fans are shown on Figure 3, mounting on Figures 4-10.
2. Fans are designed for long-term operation without disconnection from network. Air motion must match direction of indicator on the fan case. Fans can be operated at ambient temperatures between 40OF (5OC) and 170OF (77OC).
3. Protection rating from access to dangerous parts and water penetration of AWD fans is IP 34.
4. Fan surfaces need to be cleaned regularly from dirt and dust as shown in Figures 11-16. Cleaning is made with soft cloth with the usage of water solution and washing agent.
5. Ingress of liquid to electric motor must be avoided. After cleaning, the surface must be wiped dry.
NOTE
Fan construction is constantly being improved, and some models may differ slightly from those described in this manual.

Do not dispose of with other trash.

2. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its authorized service agent or by qualified personnel in order to avoid a hazard.

Install the fan using the screws included on the product box. Drill on indicated positions.
Leave a minimum clearance on the fan outlet of twice the diameter of the duct size
