affetions. 'n the later stages of ergotism there is anaesthesia. "he disharges are
exhausting and offensi&e. *iarrhoea is peuliar, in&oluntary! with wide-open anus. "he
#oils in whih *ec. is indiated are small and painful, with green ontents, mature &eryslowly, heal slowly, and are &ery wea$ening. "he eyes are affeted in &arious ways
Pustulous on?unti&itis! suppuration of ornea! dilated pupils, distortion, and stra#ismus!
