Over the past month, it gives me great pleasure to see that Hong Kong International Airport’s (HKIA) dedication to providing world-class services to our valued passengers has once again been recognised with two international acclaims. HKIA has won nine best airport awards this year and the cumulative total is now close to 50 since 2001.

HKIA was acknowledged as an Inductee with Distinction in the Director General’s Roll of Excellence by the Airports Council International (ACI), which recognises airports consistently ranked atop its Airport Service Quality surveys.

Meanwhile, we were named the Best Airport in China by travel magazine Business Traveller China for the fifth time in seven years since the award’s inception in 2005. The award is a testament to our strength as an international and regional aviation centre and a preferred gateway to the Mainland.

We thank the organisations for giving these recognitions for the collective hard work of the aviation community at HKIA, but we will not rest on our laurels. We will continue to develop to ensure we have adequate capacity to meet future growth, and will strive to enhance our operational efficiency not only for the benefit of the operators and airlines at HKIA, but to provide better services for our passengers.

In the meantime, we will also ensure that we will be getting greener. I am delighted that two new generation green aircraft have landed at HKIA recently – the Boeing 747-8 Freighter and the first commercial flight from Tokyo to Hong Kong operated by the brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Both aircraft represent the epic of the latest, more advanced aircraft manufacturing technology, and the engines of these aircraft are quieter and cleaner with better fuel efficiency resulting in significantly less carbon emissions. We expect to see more such aircraft serving HKIA in the future.

In recent months, we have seen a dip in the cargo traffic but the passenger volume and aircraft movements have continued to grow. As the economy of the Mainland, particularly its aviation industry, continues to power forward, coupled with the shift of aviation development to this part of the world, I am fully confident that our future is bright with air traffic demand steadily increasing.

Finally, I warmly welcome our readers to the new look of HKIA News. In addition to a fresh design, new and interactive features have been added to keep readers updated with airport news and happenings. I hope you will enjoy reading this issue, and as always, we invite any comments and feedback that would be most helpful in our efforts to meet your information need in the best possible way.

與此同時，我們亦將竭力成為更環保的機場。最近，我很高興看見兩架新一代環保飛機抵達香港國際機場，它們分別是波音747-8型貨機，以及以全新波音787型夢幻客機往來東京及香港的首班商業航班。這些機種採用了最新穎及更先進的飛機生產技術，引擎操作時更為寧靜，並具備更高燃油效益，碳排放量亦大大減低。預期未來將會有更多這類機種在香港國際機場提供服務。

在最近數個月，機場的貨運量下降，但客運量及飛機起降量持續增長。由於內地經濟，特別是航空業的增長勢頭持續強勁，加上航空業發展正逐步向亞洲轉移，我深信隨着航空交通需求穩步增長，機場的發展前景一片光明。

首架波音787型夢幻客機於10月26日飛抵香港國際機場，停機坪上響起鑼鼓聲及以精采的舞獅表演，慶祝這個航空業的歷史時刻。

這架由全日空航空營運的飛機當天由東京起飛，機上載有全日空航空行政總裁兼執行董事伊東信一郎、機管局行政總裁許漢忠、約100名來自日本和世界各地的記者，以及約100名乘客。飛機於翌日啟程返回日本。

除了有香港特區政府官員、機管局代表及約60名本地及區內傳媒代表到場迎接外，在停機坪亦舉行了射水禮，歡迎這架飛機抵港。

機管局行政總裁許漢忠在歡迎儀式上說：「全日空航空選擇香港作為這款全新型號飛機首次商業飛行的目的地，彰顯了香港與日本之間的重要關係，也反映出航空公司及業界視香港為區域及國際航空中心，地位舉足輕重。香港國際機場非常重視環保，因此，我們歡迎市場推出最新一代環保機種B787型夢幻客機。」

B787型夢幻客機已獲認證為符合「第4章」的標準，噪音水平比現有機種減少30%，引領航空業邁進新紀元。除了前所未有的低噪音水平外，這款飛機的碳排放量較少，並且具備較高燃油效益。

全日空航空行政總裁兼執行董事伊東信一郎表示：「於40年前，我們的首班國際航線包機就是飛往香港，這次亦很榮幸選擇香港作為B787型夢幻客機的首航目的地，我們將繼續致力成為連繫香港與日本的橋樑。」

於10月30日，全日空航空開辦了往來香港及名古屋的航班服務，以加強與香港國際機場的聯繫。這款飛機配備最新研發的引擎，並採用較輕的碳纖維複合材料製造，以取代鋁材，令機身更輕，與其他體積

The first Boeing 787 Dreamliner landed at HKIA on 26 October amid festive drumbeat and a vivacious lion dance, celebrating this historical moment of the aviation industry.

The All Nippon Airways (ANA) plane departed from Tokyo on that date with ANA President & Chief Executive Officer Shinichiro Ito, AA CEO Stanley Hui, about 100 Japanese and international journalists and around 100 passengers on board. It then made its return trip back to Japan on the following day.

The flight was greeted by HKSAR government officials, AA representatives, around 60 local and regional media representatives, as well as a water salute on the apron of HKIA.

Speaking at the event, AA CEO Stanley Hui said, “ANA choosing Hong Kong to be the city for launching its first commercial flight on this brand new airplane signifies the important relationship between Hong Kong and Japan. It also tells us how the airline and the aviation industry see Hong Kong as a very important regional and international aviation centre. HKIA is very environmentally conscious, and we surely welcome the B787 Dreamliner which is the latest generation green aircraft.”

Ushering in a new era in the aviation industry, the B787 Dreamliner is a certified Chapter 4 standard aircraft which is 30% quieter than the current generation of aircraft. Apart from the unprecedented low noise production, it also achieves low carbon emissions and a high level of fuel efficiency.

“Forty years ago, we flew our first international charter flight to Hong Kong. And it is a great pleasure to launch the memorable B787 Dreamliner inaugural flight to Hong Kong. We will continue to strive to serve as a bridge between Hong Kong and Japan” said Shinichiro Ito, President & CEO of ANA.

To strengthen the connection between ANA and HKIA, the Nagoya – Hong Kong services were launched on 30 October.

The aircraft is fitted with newly developed engines combined with a lighter airframe composed of light-weight composite material made with carbon fibres rather than aluminium. This enables it to consume 20% less fuel than other similar-sized airplanes, resulting in exceptional environmental performance. The advanced combustors in the B787’s engines also create lower hydrocarbon, smoke, nitrous oxide and carbon monoxide emissions.

CHARTING THE WAY FORWARD The Airport Authority (AA) held a management conference on 28 October, outlining its strong commitment towards a clear strategic direction for HKIA with the Master Plan 2030 as its core.

AA CEO Stanley Hui kicked off the proceedings with a review of the developments achieved by HKIA over the years and an outline mapping out the future growth of the airport. He shared the traffic forecast for the next five years, and stressed on the management focuses that will help to cope with the projected business growth. Finally, various departments took turns to share their departmental five-year plan with their fellow co-workers.

HKIA WELCOMES FIRST B747-8 FREIGHTER

Another milestone of the aviation industry was witnessed at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as the world’s first Boeing 747-8 Freighter flown by Cargolux touched down at HKIA on 16 October.

The Boeing 747-8 Freighter is a green aircraft that features significant improvements in fuel efficiency and lower carbon dioxide emissions.

As a certified Chapter 4 freighter, the B747-8 Freighter also takes advantage of the latest technological developments in its engine to reduce noise. A sound-absorbing liner on the aircraft’s nacelle helps reduce noise during takeoff, while simplified flaps on the wing trailing edge reduces noise during landings. It also offers superior economics and the highest capacity of any freighter, carrying a maximum structural payload capacity of 147.6 tonnes.

CHINA’S BEST AIRPORT HKIA once again scooped the “Best Airport in China” award given by travel magazine Business Traveller China for the fifth time in the past seven years. The prestigious 2011 Business Traveller China Awards recognises exceptional travel and hospitality providers and leaders in the industry.

Avid Business Traveller China readers vote for their favourite airport that has made their journeys enjoyable and hassle-free, reflecting the premium that HKIA places on providing outstanding services to its passengers.

Cecilia Lam, Deputy General Manager, Terminal 2 & Landside, represented the AA to accept the honour at a ceremony held in Beijing on 2 November.

The AA proudly sponsored a special dinner hosted by the Hong Kong Aviation Industry Association (HKAIA) in September which celebrated the inauguration of its third Executive Committee and commemorated the centenary of Hong Kong’s first powered flight.

Over 300 attendees from Hong Kong, Macao and Mainland China were present at the dinner, including Guests of Honour Xu Chaoqun, Deputy Director Flight Standards, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Norman Lo, Director-General of Civil Aviation, Civil Aviation Department Hong Kong.

香港航空業協會於9月舉行特別晚宴，慶祝協會第三屆理事會就職，以及紀念香港動力飛行百周年。機管局很榮幸能夠成為晚宴的贊助機構。

HKIA has been included in the Airports Council International (ACI) Director General’s Roll of Excellence, a distinction given to airports that are among the top five in Airport Service Quality (ASQ) for five successive years. Fourteen airports across the globe were selected and honoured at a ceremony on 1 November in Morocco.

HKIA received special recognition as an “Inductee with Distinction” as it was named the World’s Best Airport Award serving over 40 million passengers annually for the fifth time in a row in the ASQ.

AA CEO Stanley Hui said, “The numerous best airport awards are a strong vote of confidence in the 65,000-staff force of the airport community. Together, we impress upon travellers from around the world that Hong Kong is a hospitable and efficient city providing world-class service.”

Hui added, “To ensure that we will continue to deliver superb service to the constantly growing passenger traffic at HKIA, we will continue to work on and deepen the service culture of the airport community while enhancing the facilities at HKIA to meet the increasing demands.”

ACI is a non-profit organisation that represents the interests of airports and promotes professional excellence in airport management and operations. Currently, 227 airports participate in the ASQ programme which enables airports to utilise information gathered via surveys to better align their service provision with customer expectations.

香港國際機場獲國際機場協會會長列入「卓越機場名錄」，這項榮譽是表揚連續五年在機場服務質素調查中排名前五位的機場。這次共有14個來自世界各地的機場獲選加入名錄，嘉許典禮於 11月1日在摩洛哥舉行。

機管局行政總裁許漢忠表示：「我們多次獲得最佳機場的讚譽，反映旅客對65 000名機場員工投下信心一票。我們共同努力，為全球旅客提供世界級服務，令他們對香港這個熱情好客及高效便

捷的城市，留下深刻印象。」許漢忠又說：「為確保我們可以持續提

供超卓的服務，以配合機場不斷增長的客運量，我們會繼續致力鞏固機場同業的服務文化，並提升機場的設施，以應付與日俱增的需求量。」

國際機場協會是一個非牟利組織，代表着各地機場的利益，致力推動專業優質的機場管理及營運。現時全球共有227家機場參與機場服務質素調查，這些機場可利用調查收集所得的資料改進服務，從而滿足旅客的期望。

The Airport Authority (AA) welcomed representatives from the Education Bureau who visited Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) on 17 October to familiarise themselves with the operations and scope of business of the airport. The purpose of the visit was to collect information for the development of teaching materials to be used by secondary school students.

Senior AA management briefed the representatives from the Education Bureau on the daily operations of HKIA including a visit to the Integrated Airport Centre, the apron and Baggage Handling System. They also visited other premises of the airport community such as Air Traffic Control Complex, Cathay Pacific City and Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited.

Meanwhile, Tourism Management students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong - Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Community College also paid a visit to the airport as part of their study on 19 October. Sixty students were treated to a briefing on airport operations, followed by a tour of the SkyDeck and the HKIA Master Plan 2030 (MP2030) exhibition.

於10月17日，機場管理局歡迎教育局代表到訪香港國際機場，並向他們介紹機場同業的運作及業務範疇。他們此行目的是收集資料，以便編製專題教材，供中學生使用。

此外，來自香港中文大學－東華三院社區書院旅遊管理系的學生亦於10月19日到訪香港國際機場，作為學習課程的其中一部分。60名學生在聽取機場運作簡介後，參觀了機場展望台及《香港國際機場2030規劃大綱》展覽。

EDUCATING FUTURE GENERATIONS ENGAGING YOUTH ON THE NEW MASTER PLANThe AA strives to foster close communication with young people. Recently, the AA took part in a talk at St. Paul’s Co-educational College on 31 October to brief the younger generation on airport expansion strategies, particularly its MP2030.

The talk is part of the AA’s continuing efforts to engage with different sectors of the society following the conclusion of the public consultation period of the MP2030 in September.

Five hundred students from Form 4 to Form 7 listened to Julia Yan, General Manager, Strategic Planning and Development, as she made the case for the importance of airport development on the mid- to long-term economic development in Hong Kong.

DID YOU KNOW?你知道嗎？ROUNDTABLE ON GREEN INITIATIVES

Four green groups joined a discussion about HKIA’s ongoing green initiatives on 24 October. Howard Eng, Executive Director, Airport Operations chaired the roundtable and facilitated presentations given by the AA.

Atop the agenda was an overview of the Midfield Concourse development design. When designing this new I-shaped passenger concourse at the airport’s midfield area, the AA aims to achieve the BEAM PLUS Gold Standard. Numerous green features are being incorporated to maximise efficiency and reduce energy use.

The roundtable also shed light on the HKIA’s 3-Year Environmental Plan and its progress towards meeting the targets. Other green initiatives include the HKIA Environmental Fund for funding green projects in Hong Kong, plans to encourage airport retailers and restaurants to adopt green practices, and allocating prominent airport display areas for green NGOs to showcase their environmental messages to passengers.

DRESSING DOWNStaff at the AA had a chance to dress down when it took part in the annual Dress Casual Day organised by the Community Chest on 30 September. The AA has always supported numerous charitable organisations to fulfill its corporate social responsibility, and this time was no different with an enthusiastic response from the staff.

As a token of appreciation, a certificate was given to the department that achieved the highest participation rate. This year, the Legal Department and Strategic Planning and Development Department earned this distinction.

機場管理局參加了每年一度的公益金便服日，員工於9月30日穿着輕鬆便服上班。機管局一直積極支持多家慈善機構，藉以履行企業社會責任，今年的活動亦不例外，獲得員工的踴躍參與。

The Hong Kong Red Cross (HKRC) has bestowed the “Annual Big Donors - Red Award” to the AA as a token of appreciation for its generous donations throughout the year.

On behalf of the AA, Christine Chan, General Manager, Human Resources received the award in recognition of the AA’s unyielding efforts in supporting the humanitarian work of HKRC at the award ceremony on 20 October.

To qualify for the award, donors must have an annual donation of HK$300,000 to HK$499,999. The recognition shows once again that the AA has a big heart in contributing to society.

香港紅十字會向機場管理局頒發「年度大額捐款者–紅獎」，以嘉許我們在過去一年的慷慨捐助。

於10月20日舉行的嘉許禮上，人力資源總經理陳淑芬代表機管局領取獎項。這個獎項肯定了機管局在支持香港紅十字會人道工作方面的不懈努力。

捐款者必須在年內捐款300,000至499,999港元，方可符合獲獎資格。這次獲獎再次證明機管局熱心公益，為社會作出貢獻。

機管局一向非常重視與青少年的溝通。最近，機管局於10月31日出席了聖保羅男女中學舉辦的講座，向年輕一代簡介機場的擴展策略，特別是

《香港國際機場2030規劃大綱》。自《2030規劃大綱》公眾諮詢於

9月結束後，機管局仍繼續與社會不同界別的人士接觸，當中包括參與這次講座。

當天500名中四至中七學生齊集，聆聽策略規劃及發展總經理閻宇明的講解，藉此了解機場發展對香港中長期經濟發展的重要性。

機管局於10月24日舉行圓桌會議，與四家環保組織討論香港國際機場的持續環保措施。這次會議由機管局機場運行執行總監伍翹楚主持，並由機管局人員作出簡報。

會議的首要議題是簡介中場客運廊發展計劃的設計。在設計機場中場範圍的全新「 形」客運廊時，機管局力求達到BEAM PLUS金級標準，同時亦融入多項環保措施，務求提高效益及減少能源消耗。

此外，這次圓桌會議亦探討了機場的三年環境計劃，以及達成計劃目標的進度。機場亦採取了其他環保措施，包括設立香港國際機場環保基金，以資助本地環保項目；計劃鼓勵機場零售商戶及餐廳採取環保措施，以及安排非政府環保組織在機場顯眼位置的展區，向旅客宣揚環保信息。

THREE TOP BRANDS OPEN IN HONGQIAO AIRPORTShanghai Hongqiao International Airport strives to offer a wide range of shopping and dining choices for passengers and has recently brought in three more brand names to the airport.

Pacific Coffee and Discover Shanghai have selected Hongqiao Airport to open their first airport outlets in Mainland China. McDonald’s & McCafe also opened its first concept restaurant in the restricted area of Chinese airports.

McDonald’s is the largest quick service restaurant franchise in the world while Pacific Coffee has built its brand through providing customers a comfortable setting with which they could enjoy quality coffee, food and beverages. Discover Shanghai, meanwhile, offers a variety of souvenirs that embody the characteristics of the city.

The opening of the three shops in Terminal 2’s restricted departures area demonstrates Hongqiao Airport’s efforts in creating a memorable airport experience for passengers.

Wizards and witches brought the spirit of Halloween to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as they roamed the airport terminals from 28 to 31 October. Talents dressed up in their full Halloween gear entertained the crowd by lightheartedly greeting passengers and playfully handing out candies to children.

Over on Level 5 at Terminal 2, children got to enjoy the spooky festivities in “Little Magic, Green Lover,” an activity which included a game zone and a creative Halloween Spooky Workshop that taught children how to create toys using recycled materials. The workshops nurture the creativity of kids and their awareness of conserving the environment.

巫師與女巫於10月28日至31日現身香港國際機場客運大樓，讓旅客感受萬聖節氣氛。多名演員換上全身萬聖節裝扮，輕鬆愉快地迎接旅客，並鬼馬地向小朋友送上糖果，與眾同樂。

機場亦在二號客運大樓第五層打造了「小巫師大環保」魔法教室，讓小朋友盡情感受驚嚇節日氣氛。除了遊樂區外，現場亦設有「搞鬼工作坊」，教導小朋友利用環保物料製作趣怪玩意。這些工作坊不但有助培養小朋友的創意，也可提高他們的環保意識。

太平洋咖啡及遇見上海選擇於虹橋機場開設國內首家機場店鋪；麥當勞及McCafe亦首度在國內機場禁區開設概念餐廳。

麥當勞是全球最大的特許經營快餐店；太平洋咖啡以提供舒適雅致的環境見稱，讓顧客品嘗優質咖啡、食品及飲料；遇見上海則專門售賣充滿上海城市特色的紀念品。

三家新店在二號航站樓離境層禁區開業，足證虹橋機場竭力為旅客締造難忘的機場 體驗。

三大品牌進駐虹橋機場 HKIA SUPPORTS ORBIS EXHIBITION To promote World Sight Day 2011, ORBIS set up a photo exhibition in Terminal 1 from 1 to 5 October with the support of HKIA. The roving exhibition raises awareness on the difficulties blind people have to overcome in their daily lives.

With the theme “experience the chaotic world of blind people”, the exhibition featured photos taken during ORBIS ambassadors’ trips to visit those in need, photos taken by people around the globe on their perspective towards “visual distortion”, and animated optical illusions.

ORBIS is dedicated to preventing and treating blindness by providing quality eye care to transform people’s lives throughout the world.

HKIA WELCOMES TWO AIRLINESOctober marked the inclusion of two new airlines into HKIA family, bringing the total number of carriers operating at HKIA to over 100.

On 21 October, Vladivostok Air started its operation at HKIA, becoming the first airline to offer direct flights between Hong Kong and Vladivostok. The Russian carrier currently runs a twice-weekly scheduled passenger service between the two cities.

Meanwhile, Jin Air, a passenger carrier based in Korea expanded its list of destinations to include Hong Kong on 30 October, with five flights per week between Seoul and Hong Kong.

隨着兩家航空公司於10月加盟香港國際機場，在機場營運的航空公司總數已超過100家。

符拉迪沃斯托克航空於10月21日起在香港國際機場投入服務，成為首家提供往來香港及海參崴直航服務的航空公司。這家俄羅斯航空公司現時營辦往來兩地的定期客運航班服務，每周兩班。

於10月30日，韓國客運航空公司真航空亦將航點網絡擴展至香港，提供往來首爾及香港的航班服務，每周五班。

1日至5日在一號客運大樓舉行攝影展覽，以宣傳「世界視覺日2011」。這個巡迴展覽旨在提高公眾對失明人士的關注，了解他們在日常生活中須要克服的種種困難。

展覽以「體驗失明人士的紛亂世界」為主題，展出照片涵蓋多個題材，包括奧比斯大使探訪活動、全球各地人士對「視覺扭曲」的觀點，以及模擬視覺障礙的效果。

奧比斯肩負起救盲抗盲的使命，藉着提供優質的眼科醫療服務，扭轉全球眼疾患者的命運。

CLEANING UP HONG KONG’S SHORESStaff of the AA joined the fray lately against debris and pollution that threaten the natural beauty of the country.

Collaborating with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council Tung Chung Integrated Service Centre, 56 AA staff and their family members came out in force to support the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) activity on 22 October.

Participants collected and removed marine debris along the coastline of Sha Lo Wan located on north Lantau Island. This is the fourth consecutive year that the AA has taken part in the ICC.

The ICC is initiated by the Ocean Conservancy, which encourages people to remove trash and debris from the world’s beaches and waterways, identify the sources of debris and change behavioural patterns that contribute to pollution.

AIRPORT ROLE MODELSIn the ninth and latest session of the Customer Service Talk series held on 26 and 31 October, the airport community gained valuable insights on how “Everyone Can Be a Role Model.” The talk highlighted the importance of having a role model in a team, shared tips on how to be a role model, and demonstrated how a role model helps a team to excel.

As part of the Customer Service Excellence Programme, the series aims to further improve and maintain the high level of quality services provided by the airport staff. The series has already touched on eight different topics regarding customer service since its launch in June 2010.

More sessions are lined up in the coming months from December to April of next year on a wide range of customer service topics.

最新一次的顧客服務講座已於10月26日及31日舉行，主題是「模範本無種．人人可成才」，講員向機場員工分享了這方面的寶貴見解。這是顧客服務講座系列的第九講。除了講解模範員工在團隊的重要性外，講座中亦介紹了成為模範員工的秘訣，並展示模範員工如何令團隊的表現更為出色。

顧客服務講座系列是優質顧客服務計劃的一環，旨在進一步提高及維持機場員工的優質顧客服務水平。自2010年6月推出以來，這個系列已舉辦了八個不同主題的顧客服務講座。

我們將於今年12月至明年4月期間舉辦更多講座，以涵蓋不同的顧客服務課題。

成為機場模範

AA VEHICLES TESTING SOLAR-POWERED TECHNOLOGY機管局車輛測試太陽能供電技術

In its latest green initiative, the Airport Authority (AA) has started conducting trials of a Solar Powered Air Conditioning System, jointly developed by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Green Power Industrial Limited.

Since July, solar panels have been installed on a truck mounted aerial work platform of the AA that is used for high level maintenance and cleaning work.

During parking, idling and normal operation, the panels comprising photovoltaic modules absorb solar energy for storage in a specially made battery structure. The stored solar energy then powers a standalone electric driven air-conditioner that can be switched on even when the vehicle engine is not running. The air-conditioner can also operate during cloudy or rainy days. This feature reduces carbon dioxide emission by 4 tonnes per year per vehicle.

The trial will carry on and the new technology will be applied to other AA vehicles if the result of the trials is satisfactory.

機場管理局已展開太陽能空調系統的測試工作。這個系統由香港理工大學及陽光動力有限公司共同研發，是機管局最新推行的環保措施。

自7月起，機管局已為一部裝有高空工作台的貨車安裝太陽能電池板。這部貨車負責進行高空維修及清潔工作。

當車輛停放、空轉引擎或正常運作時，設有光伏組件的電池板會吸收太陽能，並儲存於特製的電池內。這些儲備的太陽能會為獨立電動空調裝置提供電力，即使車輛關掉引擎，仍能啟動空調裝置。該空調裝置不論在陰天或雨天都能運作自如。這個裝置可使每部車輛每年減少四公噸二氧化碳排放量。

有關測試將會繼續進行，如果測試結果理想，這項新技術將會應用至機管局其他車輛。

25th September marked a day to remember for five elderly couples who received a unique present from the AA Staff Club and Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Tung Chung Integrated Services (SKH).

Dressed in their beautiful wedding finery adorned with props provided by SKH, the couples had their first ever wedding photos taken by 28 volunteers from the AA and SKH who set out as their exclusive photographers and makeup artists for the day. The delighted pairs enjoyed the day posing among scenic locations at the HKIA Tower, Terminal 2 and Asia Hollywood.

As a souvenir to commemorate the special afternoon, a professional wedding album will be presented to the couples to help them relive the joy of marriage. AA and SKH volunteers alike relished the experience and were touched by the joyful memories and enduring love expressed by the elderly couples.

Throughout the years, the AA has emphasised helping out the youth, the elderly and the less privileged in society through various programmes that uplift their spirits and touch their lives in a positive way.

56名機管局員工及親友聯同鄰舍輔導會東涌綜合服務中心，全力參與及支持於10月22日舉行的 國際海岸清潔運動。

參加者齊集北大嶼山的沙螺灣，收集及清潔海灘上的垃圾。這是機管局連續第四年參與國際海岸清潔運動。

國際海岸清潔運動由Ocean Conservancy發起，旨在鼓勵大眾清潔世界各地海灘及水道的垃圾及廢物，並透過識別廢物源頭， 改變污染海洋的惡習。

機場管理局職員康樂會於9月25日聯同香港聖公會東涌綜合服務，向五對長者夫婦送上一份別出心裁的禮物，讓他們永誌難忘。

每對長者夫婦都穿起由聖公會提供的漂亮結婚禮服及配飾，由28名化身私人攝影師及化妝師的機管局及聖公會義工，為他們首度拍攝結婚照片。他們在機場行政大樓、二號客運大樓及星光無間等景點留影，度過了愉快的一天。

為紀念這個別具意義的下午，這些長者夫婦將獲贈專業婚紗攝影相簿，讓他們再三回味結婚的喜悅。機管局與聖公會的義工亦樂在其中，他們都被長者夫婦的甜蜜回憶及不渝真愛深深感動。

多年來，機管局一直致力支持及舉辦不同活動，為青少年、長者及弱勢社群提供協助，並時刻給予鼓勵，讓他們積極面對人生。

BETTER WORK-LIFE BALANCE AA staff enjoyed a workshop about effective communication with the youth on 30 September as part of the Human Resources Department’s ongoing initiatives to promote a healthy work-life balance.

The event featured a registered social worker who shared his thoughts on the behaviour of today’s youth and the importance of effective communication, an essential component of quality family relationships.

Topics included reasons for young people to rebel, tips and skills for effective communication, situational analysis and intervention suggestions to help AA staff in their personal lives.

NATIONAL DAY FIREWORKS NIGHTThe Airport Authority (AA) Staff Club organised a Firework Night Cruise on 1 October in celebration of National Day. AA staff and their families were treated to an evening of delectable food and lively entertainment as they enjoyed the spectacular fireworks display over the Victoria Harbour.

The Harbour Cruise-Bauhinia ship took the 350 participants on a relaxing tour of both sides of the Victoria Harbour, complete with a buffet dinner, drinks, live band performances and a lucky draw to cap off the perfect evening.

於9月30日，機管局員工參加了探討與青少年有效溝通的工作坊。這項活動是人力資源部持續推動工作與生活平衡的其中一環。

在活動中，註冊社工就現今青少年的行為分享見解，並指出有效溝通的重要性，因為有效溝通是建立良好家庭關係的必要元素。

這次工作坊探討了青少年反叛的原因、有效溝通的秘訣及技巧、實況分析及輔導建議，這些課題對機管局員工的個人生活都有幫助。

機管局職員康樂會於10月1日舉辦「國慶煙花夜海上遊」，共賀國慶。機管局員工與親友一同享用美味食物及欣賞現場娛樂節目，並觀賞維多利亞港上空的壯麗煙花匯演。

當晚共有350名參加者登上「洋紫荊維港遊」觀光船，暢遊維港兩岸，除了豐富的自助晚餐及飲品外，船上亦有精采的現場樂隊表演，壓軸的幸運抽獎更為活動劃上完美句號。
