arrange- ment ¬ and preservation of all material pertaining to the history of or in any manner illustrative of Florida includ ¬ ing books pamphlets documents manuscripts newspapers diaries notes letters speeches maps por ¬ traits photographs or other likenesses- of men and women prominent in Florida history pictorial illustra ¬ tions of Florida scenery buildings establishments institutions monu- ments ¬ relics and products Also relics of every kind whether histori- cal ¬ or prehistorical fossils geologi- cal ¬ specimens and everything in any manner illustrative of Florida The provision Other Improved Roads in I Counties Now Having or that May Hereafter Have Paved Hard or Improved Roaas and Des- cribing ¬ the Time and Mode of Procedure in Which This Act ia to go Into Effect and Provid- ing ¬ a Penalty for Its Violation IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE bE the State of Florida Section I That the width of the tires > f the ve- hicles ¬ used to haul wood other heavy loads over paved hard or improved roads in any county of this state now having or that may hereafter build an construct such roads is hereby fixed and established as follows Of a two hone wag- on ¬ cart or other vehicle shall not be less than four inches wide and of a tour horse wagon cart or vehicle shall not be less than sixinches wide and ot a four horse cart or vehicle used- to haul heavy logs or stock shall not be less than seven inches wide and that it shall be un ¬ lawful for any person firm or corporation to use or cause to be used any vehicle mentioned in this section with ales width of tire than that speci- fied ¬ in hauling loads over roads therein menti- oned and any person firm or corporation so of- fending shall be guilty ot a misdemeanor and subject to the pains and penalties provided for in Section 6 of this Act See 2 That the provision of Section I shall apply only to counties of the state that have built or hereafter build and construct a sys- tem of paved hard or improved reads and are maintaining the same and shan not be opera- tive for a period of not less than two months or more than six mouths after the adoption of this Act as provided for by Sections 3 and 4 of the same Sec 3 The provisions this Act shall not be operative in any county th state until the county commissioners ot such county at a regu- lar ¬ meeting shall give notice by advertisment- in a newspaper published in the county for four weeks and in case no newspaper is published in such county by posting the same in three public places of the county one ot which shall be at the court house door together with the publication of this Act that at the next regular meeting ot such board or county commisioners- they will consider determine whether or not they wi l adopt the provislo s of Section i and 2 ot this Act and after having given all persons present the meeting advertised who are in ¬ terested in the same an opportunity to be heard- as to their views in the premises- Sec 4 Should the board of county commis ¬ sioners at a regular meting oftheir board held under the provisions of Section 3 determine by and through a formal vote to adopt and put in operation the provisions of this Act that it shall become operative and go into full force and ef- fect by the adaption of the formal resolution of such board of commisioners fixing the date when its provisions shall go into effect which shall not be less than two months or more than six months from the date thereof at the discretion of such board Due notice thereof shall be given by the publication of the afore- said resolution for a period of sixty days as provided for in Section 3 ofthis Act Sec 5 That any person firm or corporation- who may violate tbeprovi ons of this Act after it takes tffect and becomes operative in any countv of the state shall be guilty of a misde- meanor and upon conviction thereof before any court having jurisaictio shall be fined not more than ten dollars for each offence committed to ether wuh the csts accruing in such case or- by imprisonment in the county jail at hard labor for not more than thirty days Sec 6 That it shall be the duty of supervisors- of roads road oversee or any tax payer of the couny who knows of any violation of the pro- visions of this Act 10 file a complaint against such persons firm or corporation so violating before a justice of the oeace having jurisdiction of the district in which said misdemeanor oc ¬ curred or before any other court or officer hav- ing ¬ jurisdiction of the offence charged and such justice court or officer shall cause the accused to be rested by a warrant and brought before the proper court and lawfully as in other cases of misdemeanors Sec 7 All laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed Sec 8 This IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATUREbE the State of FloridaSection I That the width of the tires > f the ve-

hicles¬

used to haul wood other heavy loads overpaved hard or improved roads in any county ofthis state now having or that may hereafterbuild an construct such roads is hereby fixedand established as follows Of a two hone wag-on

¬

cart or other vehicle shall not be less thanfour inches wide and of a tour horse wagon cartor vehicle shall not be less than sixinches wideand ot a four horse cart or vehicle used-to haul heavy logs or stock shall not be lessthan seven inches wide and that it shall be un¬

lawful for any person firm or corporation to useor cause to be used any vehicle mentioned in thissection with ales width of tire than that speci-fied

¬

in hauling loads over roads therein menti-oned and any person firm or corporation so of-fending shall be guilty ot a misdemeanor andsubject to the pains and penalties provided for inSection 6 of this Act

See 2 That the provision of Section I shallapply only to counties of the state that havebuilt or hereafter build and construct a sys-tem of paved hard or improved reads and aremaintaining the same and shan not be opera-tive for a period of not less than two months ormore than six mouths after the adoption of thisAct as provided for by Sections 3 and 4 of thesame

Sec 3 The provisions this Act shall not beoperative in any county th state until thecounty commissioners ot such county at a regu-lar

¬

meeting shall give notice by advertisment-in a newspaper published in the county for fourweeks and in case no newspaper is publishedin such county by posting the same in threepublic places of the county one ot which shallbe at the court house door together with thepublication of this Act that at the next regularmeeting ot such board or county commisioners-they will consider determine whether or notthey wi l adopt the provislo s of Section i and2 ot this Act and after having given all personspresent the meeting advertised who are in ¬

terested in the same an opportunity to be heard-as to their views in the premises-

Sec 4 Should the board of county commis ¬

sioners at a regular meting oftheir board heldunder the provisions of Section 3 determine byand through a formal vote to adopt and put inoperation the provisions of this Act that it shallbecome operative and go into full force and ef-fect by the adaption of the formal resolution ofsuch board of commisioners fixing thedate when its provisions shall go into effectwhich shall not be less than two months ormore than six months from the date thereof atthe discretion of such board Due notice thereofshall be given by the publication of the afore-said resolution for a period of sixty days asprovided for in Section 3 ofthis Act

Sec 5 That any person firm or corporation-who may violate tbeprovi ons of this Act afterit takes tffect and becomes operative in anycountv of the state shall be guilty of a misde-meanor and upon conviction thereof before anycourt having jurisaictio shall be fined not morethan ten dollars for each offence committed to

ether wuh the csts accruing in such case or-by imprisonment in the county jail at hard laborfor not more than thirty days

Sec 6 That it shall be the duty of supervisors-of roads road oversee or any tax payer of thecouny who knows of any violation of the pro-visions of this Act 10 file a complaint againstsuch persons firm or corporation so violatingbefore a justice of the oeace having jurisdictionof the district in which said misdemeanor oc¬

curred or before any other court or officer hav-ing

¬

jurisdiction of the offence charged and suchjustice court or officer shall cause the accused tobe rested by a warrant and brought before theproper court and lawfully as in other casesof misdemeanors

Sec 7 All laws in conflict with this Act arehereby repealed

Sec 8 This Act shall go into eltect immedlately upon its passage anti approval by the Gov-ernor
