At the Callaway County United Way we believe that

everyone has a role in building a better future for all.

We bring together people and organizations with the

passion, expertise and resources to get things done.

We take on challenges like meeting basic needs,

ending homelessness, and giving every child an

equal chance to succeed. We invest in solutions and

achieve results.

Caring people join us by giving, volunteering and

taking action to help those in need.

Our all-volunteer Board of Directors scrutinize the needs of our community and the agencies that serve it, funding those that can accomplish the most good.

Our Mission:

The mission of the Callaway County United Way is to improve,

consistently and measurably, the quality of life for all the

people of Callaway County by raising and distributing funds,

mobilizing community resources, and encouraging innovative

solutions to the community's health and human service needs,

while being aware of our environmental responsibilities.

Looking Back on 2015 Dear Friends of the Callaway County United Way,

It is with mixed emotions that I write my final message as Board

President of the Callaway County United Way. In accordance with our

by-laws I have served as long as I am allowed and I must say it has been

a very humbling experience. I have seen a lot of change take place

over the last 4 years. Most of it was positive and while change is

always difficult, it can be extremely rewarding.

2015 was another great year for the CCUW. Megan, our new Executive

Director, has hit the ground running and has acclimated to her new

position very well. John and Jerrie Bell served as our Honorary Cam-

paign Chairs this last year. I have known them all my life and are

staples of the Callaway County Community. I have been very fortunate

to be able to work with them in this capacity.

At the end of 2015 we were very close to goal. While the amount left

to go is not a huge number, the last stretch of any campaign is always

the hardest. We are still working diligently toward this goal and, as

always, will ensure that we deliver the greatest return back to the

community through your generosity. Jacque Brazas is proudly stepping

into the President’s seat. She brings a passion about this community

and skill set that, coupled with Megan and her drive, will push this

organization into the future. I am excited to see what comes in the

near future.

THANK YOU! 2015 was a great year for the Callaway County United Way. A year of many changes! Our campaign was kicked off on September 18,2015 and our goal to reach is $280,000 and we are so close to meeting it. Donations collected will fund our 14 partner agencies during 2016.

Community Impact:

The Callaway County United Way has mobilized the caring power of community resources to serve people in need within our community. Now, the Callaway County United Way has embarked on a transformational change through a new service model called Community Impact.

The Community Impact model takes us far beyond our traditional fundraising model. While helping people with their needs today through Safety Net services, it also creates deep and lasting changes by addressing the underlying elements that are the building blocks for successful lives and communities: Education, Income, Health, and Safety Net.

Safety Net Responding to immediate emergency needs

We are working to promote and provide opportunities for community engagement, foster collaborations of businesses, non-profits and community leaders, and mobilize the full breadth of our community’s assets - people, knowledge, relationships, technology and donations - to implement our Community Impact plan. Through Community Impact, we will improve the lives of people facing the greatest challenges and ultimately our entire community.
