研究範疇

生態學研究範疇：研究範圍包括生物個體、族群、生物群落與棲地的關係，近年來因為人為干擾問題，人類社會所面臨的人口、資源、環境等幾個大問題，也納入生態學的研究範圍。

上學期「環境復育」課程研究範疇已進入「應用生態學」之領域。

應用生態學之環境研究領域

大尺度研究：自然資源生態學、全球氣候變遷生態學，大多為跨國合作研究。

中尺度研究：森林生態學、農業生態學、畜牧生態學、漁業生態學、城市生態學、環境生態學、景觀生態學，可為國家型研究計畫，但亦有跨國合作研究。

小尺度研究：河川、溼地生態工法、生態工程學等。
