The AirAccess application softwareutilizes a high-speed protocolprocessing engine to create a powerfulprotocol state machine. This statemachine allows real-time evaluation ofa CDMA mobile device as if it wasinteracting with actual networkinfrastructure. Unlike testing with a realnetwork, though, the AirAccess statemachine gives the user complete controlover network configuration parameters.Test parameters can be modified in real-time without the need to go off-line tocreate individual test programs.

Handoff Performance Analysis— Create complex handoffscenarios in the lab usingAirAccess
AirAccess allows multiple configura-tions of BSCs and BTSs to supportcomplex handoff scenarios. AirAccessC2K allows operators to select aconfiguration that provides two BSCs,each with independent selection offrequency and protocol emulation. Inaddition an AirAccess 1xPLUS systemallows two access points (APs) to beconfigured on separate RF carriers. Thisallows independent impairments on1xEV-DO sectors for testing of an accessterminal’s dynamic DRC pointingalgorithm.

Data is one of the key features drivingthe wireless market to third generationservices. AirAccess implements PacketControl Function (PCF) and Packet DataServing Node (PDSN) functionality tosupport high-speed packet dataservices.
