Principios generales (I)• Online response system (ORS) for

entering answers to a set of questions on climate change and carbon emissions.

• Questions follow a path

• Answers requested in text boxes, tables or selection of options from a drop down menu

• Multiple users can access the system to input responses

• Response can be saved at any time

• Response can be printed from the ORS or exported to Microsoft Word

• Responses can be public or non-public

• Comprehensive guidance and first time responders guidance documents are available: www.cdproject.net/guidance

• Copy from last year function is available for more questions

• Responses are subject to validation rules before submission

Módulos del cuestionario

Core Modules: All companies are requested to respond to core modules.• Companies responding to both Investor CDP and CDP Supply Chain only need to complete one response, but need to submit to Supply Chain separately to make sure that it reaches their customers.Sector Modules: ICT module is new in 2012.Supply Chain Module: If you receive an invitation, this module should be activated using the link sent and it will then be added to your existing response.

• CDP Water Questionnaire is separate from Investor CDP & CDP Supply Chain.

If you do not have a CDP account already, you will need to create

one.

It is very simple.

contains personalised

information for you.

This is the ‘Respond’

page. It tells you what you

have activated and

who is registered.

Note: The ORS opens as a ‘pop-up’ in a new tab or window, depending on your settings. You may need to set your browser to allow pop-ups from our domain.

This is the ORS home page. You can save the information you have entered in the ORS and return to it at anytime.

This is the top of the ‘Introduction’ page of the ORS. The information entered here ‘builds’ the rest of the ORS to be relevant to your company.

This is the bottom half of the introduction page. At the bottom of every ORS page are navigation buttons. Clicking on ‘Next’ the first time will initiate

building your ORS.

The top of every ORS page will show each ‘module’ of the ORS. Each module has a list of questions. Question relevant guidance is on the right hand side.

The bottom of every page contains navigation buttons, ability to export to word, print and save.

When you have completed the ORS, click on ‘ORS home & Submit’ in the top right corner. This takes you to the home page to submit your response.

Back on the ORS homepage you have to accept the Terms & Conditions and decide if you want to make your response public. Or you can click on ‘Answer Questionnaire’ to make

changes.

When you are happy that your response is complete , click ‘Submit’. This may

take a minute or two…

…because your response will go

through some validation checks. You can then go back and

make changes, or proceed.

To make changes, click on ‘Cancel’. To proceed, click ‘Continue’.

This is the final confirmation page. When you click ‘Confirm’, your response is final!

3. Ayuda para responder a CDP

Principales consejos para la respuesta a CDP (I)

• Response deadline: 31 May 2012 (Investor CDP)

31 July 2012 (CDP Supply Chain)

• Use the guidance document

• Don’t leave questions blank – always provide a full response

• Provide answers that are specific with as much relevant detail as possible

• Don’t cross–reference your responses from another question

• Use main text fields provided for your responses and NOT the ‘Further Information’ field

• Be careful to address all points listed in the questions

• Character counts include spaces and are different to MS Word, especially when using rich text – enter text into the ORS before finalising

• Prior to submissions you may want to get your response checked through CDP’s Response Check Service
