    Chandra-Mangala Yoga

     This part of the text is a small part of the Siva evaguru !rihaspati Centre sessions on

    con"unctions or yutis of various planets.

    Chandra Mangala Yoga is actually yuti or con"unction of Chandra and Mangala in any

    house.

    #rahas con"oined Chandra do the follo$ing:

    1. They do in%uence the pranas& longevity and health

    '. They create the tide (grahana) $ithin our mind& and in%uence the mental and

    emotional aptitude

    *. They impose their in%eunce on our attitude and social consciousness. They sho$

    external desires of the mind.

    +lease& caculate the guna cha,ra so that you can understand the change of #unas and

    predominant guna and graha over this con"unction.Therefore& this con"unction gives

    follo$ing eects in short:

    1. strong pranas ho$ever they are moving and consuming fast& good vitality& dangerous

    for longevity or accidents& heart /lood related pro/lems&

    food& and many times $e spea, a/out spirituality& strong mind& po$er of the mind& and

    control $e have over the mind is 5uite disappointing. 3f you $ant to test the control over

    your mind&"ust stop giving 6it 6 food. Try to /e $ithout food for a fe$ days and you $ill

    understand $hat po$er your mind has over you and your /ehaviour. 3f $e thin, more

    a/out this& $e $ill understand $hy all religions and spiritual teachings advise fasting as a

    Chandra Mangala Yoga therefore& has very /ad in%eunce over your mind unless you do

    ade5uate mantras. 3t $ill surely give divorce and /rea, home& and 3 /eleive 3 could $rite

    a volume on this su/"ect.

    Most of classical texts list this yoga as a $ealth giving com/ination. Chandra is the giver

    of resources& and 0rst Mother gives to 9gni tatva& the energy. Therefore& the 0rst

    exchange is on the level of Chandra and Mangala. So this Yoga indeed gives $ealth. !oth

    grahas are ,ara,as for the th house (chandra is overall ,ara,a& $hile Mangal is ,ara,afor lands& territory). To understand this /etter one should understand chandra yogas and

    ; tatvas as ; types of $ealth in modern society. So Chandra Mangala Yoga indeed gives

    one type of $ealth.

    3t is a common ,no$ledge that alasarpa and alamrita Yogas are formed $hen all

    planets are found in /et$een the nodes. Dhenever 8ahu is on the lead& ,alasarpa yoga

    is formed $hile etu on the lead forms alamrita Yoga. alasarpa yoga gives direction of

    /hoga $hile ,alamrita yoga gives direction to$ards mo,sha marga. There are many

    various aspects a/out these t$o yogas& such as timing& eects etc& ho$ever the purpose

    of this article is to spill out some secret meanings of this yoga $hich cannot /e 0nd on

    any $e/sites or /oo,s& and $hich 3 have /een taught /y the grace of my #uru.alasarpa Yoga depends on the strength of Surya and #uru. 3t depends on the strength of

    Shiva or male energy.

    alamrita Yoga depends on the strength of Chandra and Shu,ra. 3t depends on the

    strength of Sha,ti or female energy.

     The usual teachings of this Yogas $here one (alasarpa) leads a person to$ards !hoga

    Marga& $hile another (,alamrita) leads a person to$ards mo,sha Marga has various

    others hidden meanings. 7or example& 3n case of alasarapa Yoga& 3f Surya and #uru

    /rea, the Yoga or /ecome strong in th house (satya peetha) a person $ill

    /ecome very spiritual due to the /lessing of Shiva. Therefore& strength of these fourgrahas $ill 0naliEe the direction of Yoga. n the other hand if Chandra& Shu,ra and 8ahu

    illusion $here a person /eleives that this rashi is a,in to their lagna. This illusion can /e

    overcome only /y t$o #urus!rahmins: #uru and Shu,ra. This rashi is a throne& a head&

    and such throne is occupied either /y 8ahu in alasarpa and etu in alamrita Yoga.

    Dhen the nodes sit on the throne& normally the lights $ill /e destroyed& /ased on the

    Bara cha,ra principle.

     The next principle is to examine t$o evatas $ho play important part in ** devas. These

    are 3ndra and +ra"apati. T4e pra"apati is the most po$erful evata in this Yoga(axisth /hava)& $hile 3ndra has limited po$er. These t$o devatas can /rea,

    the Yogas.

    9part from these t$o evatas& there are t$o other evis $ho hold the ,eys in these t$o

     Yogas. These are Ugratara and amalatmi,a.

     The typical syndrom of these t$o Yogas are suering or early death of father (alasarpa)

    or mother (alamrita) $hich is the sign of /ad luc, and Yoga strongly functioning.

     The next step is to /rea, the Yoga. Mantras $or, easily $hen Yoga is naturally /ro,en.

    4o$ever& in cases $here no /rea,age exists Yoga is diFcult to /rea,. 3n such cases the

    position of Chandra in the chart holds ,ey. 37 #uru or Shu,ra are in /adha, stan to each

    3 have read and /aught almost all avalia/le literature on Hyotish in english langauge& yet

    most of them list these /asic principles $ith let us say ;AK of accuracy. There are also

    many $e/ pages on vedic astrology in english& and no$ in ser/iancroation $e/sites&

    $hich you should handle carefully. 8ead the texts and try to apply the principles& and if

    they $or, apply them. 3f they do not $or,& my simple advice is to discard it

    $rong information. 3 have read so many stupid things on "yotish such as that Sy and etu

    people extolled and praised its good in%eunce. 3t might have /een their o$n chart or

    ignorance& /e that as it may& it is a fully $rong ,arma done on "yotish.

      Today many /oo,s /oth classical texts and modern /oo,s give eects of grahas in

    /havas. Unfortunatelly& they prove useless in most cases to all readers& and $orthless in

    practical use. Many modern authors critisiEe the classical authors as discarding the

    eects of planets in houses useless. 3 am not going into details here& /ut tradition

    teaches the correct method as ho$ to use these results& and $ith a proper explanation

    understand. There are places on the net& $here the eects and formation of the Yoga

    $as correctly explained& yet the proper use of yoga $as not correctly explained& or it $as

    given in a very super0cial manner. 9lso& ,indly do not confuse this yoga $ith Sarpa

    (!hu"anga) Yoga $hich is a part of 2a/has (dala) yoga& $hich has altogether dierent

    meaning and explanation& and cannot /e understood $ithout understanding of $hat is

    na/has.

    Misconceptions a/out the Yoga

    1. Dhen seen the Yoga& most astrologers autmotaically declare that in the case of /ro,en

    yoga& a person $ill come to the satya peetha point and /ecome spiritual (,alamrita) or

    materially prosper (,ala sarpa). This is unfortunatelly $rong& and it $ill never $or, in all

    cases. 3f you do not trust me& ta,e 'A horoscopes of people $ith these yogas& and

    examine their life. You $ill de0nitelly fail. 4o$ever& please& ,eep something in your mind.

    Dhen these Yogas exist people $ould normally in one $ay or another /e intereseted in

    $hat is so commonly de0ned as 6 sprirituality6 today. Today& it is enough that people ta,e

    interest in phylosophy or read some /oo,& or even do some Yoga and meditation and

    people have an image of this person to /e spiritual. This is far from it& and please go into

    shastra de0nitions of spirituality 0rst.

    '. There is a tric, in this Yoga& so it can reverse& so $hat $e see as a alasarpa& may in

    reality function as alamrita and vice versa. This segment is taught in detail in evaguru

    !rihaspati centres. This can altaughether mislead an astrologer and all predicition and

    remedial measures may go in vain

    *. The term 6/ro,en6 alasarpa and alamrita Yoga also carries a lot of dierent

    interpretations and misconceptions. 3 $as taught that the /ro,en ,alasarpa may actually

    mean that a person start going to$ards /hoga or material direction and then leave it and

    turns spiritual. n the other hand /ro,en alamrita may imply that a person turns

    to$ards spirituality and end up leaving it & changing direction to$ards marriage ets.

     The timing of this Yoga is impossi/le unless this rules are ,no$n. Bery helpful tool in
