    TIMEFORM 1-2-3

Harry The Viking - Teaforthree (IRE) - Allee Garde (FR)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

Teaforthree sets a good standard and is likely to give his supporters a good run for their money, but Harry The Viking has continued his rapid improvement under Rules since switched to fencesand could prove the best option, with the marathon trip expected to play to his strengths. AlleeGarde and Soll complete the shortlist.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Alfie Spinner (IRE)

Dual hurdles winner who got off the mark at third time of asking over fences at Chepstow inDecember. Better form in defeat both starts since, but others form stands up to greater scrutiny.

    Allee Garde (FR)

Quickly left hurdles form behind switched to fences, running to a very useful level when third in acouple of Graded races at the turn of the year and shapes as if he needs more than 3m.

    Ben's Folly (IRE)

Four-time hurdle winner since joining current yard and even better form when second on chasedebut at Newbury. Amiss over timber last month, and this a tough race to bounce back in.

    Blenheim Brook (IRE)

All his chase runs have come in small fields, winning at Newcastle (3m) and Ayr (25f). Likeabletype but needs to improve quite a bit to take this upped markedly in trip.

    Bob 'n' You (IRE)

Completed hat-trick over hurdles in 2009/10. Found only The Giant Bolster too good on chase

debut at Worcester in October 2010, but limited encouragement over timber on recent return.

    Cottage Oak (IRE)

Bumper/hurdles scorer and already a dual winner over fences, latest at Perth (3m) in August.Good third over an inadequate trip (3m) at Down Royal in November, but blew out on recentreturn.

    Court Red Handed (IRE)

Has improved for a switch to fences for current yard, landing second win of the season atWetherby in November. Back to form in this headgear last time, but plenty on his plate here.

    Daffern Seal (IRE)

Convincing winner at Kilbeggan on sole hurdles start and impressed with jumping when followingup in maiden at Galway on chasing debut. Unable to dominate latest and now up markedly in trip.

    Four Commanders (IRE)

Already better chaser than hurdler, running to a pretty useful level all starts since his maidensuccess over 2m in November. Work to do with some of these and never shaped as if in needof 4m.

    Harry The Viking

Won a point in January and made rapid strides under Rules, completing the 4-timer over 3m onhandicap bow at Doncaster in December. Saved for this, and more likely than most to relish 4m.

    Iron Chancellor (IRE)

Dual point winner who was found a soft opening when scoring over fences at Southwell inJanuary (3m). Not seen to best effect latest and worth a crack at this trip. Different headgeartried.

    Leggy Lad (IRE)

Improved over fences this season, landing a Sligo maiden and handicap at Down Royal. Goingwell when falling after a break last month, but up against it on these terms.

    Lively Baron (IRE)

Run well all starts over fences, adding to Southwell win when scoring at Warwick last month.Sure to appreciate this stiffer test, but good deal more improvement required all the same.

    Our Island (IRE)

Point/hurdles winner who stuck to task when second in handicap at Haydock in December. Stifftasks when below form in cheekpieces last twice, though, and this no easier.

    Soll

Won sole start over hurdles for John Quinn, and has taken well to fences for new yard, jumpingwell when justifying favourtism at Down Royal last month. Type to relish this sort of test.

    State Benefit (IRE)

Point scorer who fell heavily on chase bow. Quickly back on track when winning at Exeter nexttime prior to good in-frame efforts last 2 starts, and possibly capable of better over marathon trip.

    Strongbows Legend

Took a hefty rise in the weights after finally opening account under Rules in 25f chase at Herefordin Decmeber. Completed only once since (amiss latest), so others more persuasive.

    Teaforthree (IRE)

Third in Spa Hurdle here a year ago, and has won a brace of 3m novice chases at Chepstow thisseason. Shapes as if this trip will suit, and just about the form pick.

    Universal Soldier (IRE)

Useful form when scoring twice at up to 3m over hurdles and ultimately found a good openingover fences at Towcester (3m) in January. However, this an altogether different test.

    Our Victoria (IRE)

Largely campaigned with credit over fences since winning at Sligo in September. Similar storyback over timber last time, but others make greater appeal on first try at 4m.

    TIMEFORM 1-2-3

Simonsig - Make Your Mark (IRE) - Monksland (IRE)

TIMEFORM VIEWWith Fingal Bay and Boston Bob absent, the path looks clear for Simonsig to gain a big win, withconditions likely to suit this strong-travelling sort. The ground might be a bit lively for Sous LesCieux, so Make Your Mark and Monksland may prove the main dangers.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Baldadash (IRE)

Bought for 30,000 after winning maiden Irish point and made promising hurdling debut whenthird at Lingfield in November. Failed to build on that on softer ground since, and out of depthhere.

    Batonnier (FR)

Helped by the way the race panned out, but no denying the improvement he showed to get off themark in 2m Grade 2 at this track in January. More still needed, but deserves a crack at thislevel.

Benefficient (IRE)Quickly put his Thurles flop behind him when springing a surprise against established useful sortsin Leopardstown Grade 1 last month. Little wrong with that form but this requires more again.

    Brass Tax (IRE)

Irish point winner who took a step forward over hurdles when fourth in a 3m Grade 2 event atCheltenham and runner-up in novice at Market Rasen last 2 starts. Flying too high here.

    Close House

Showed smart bumper form when chasing home Montbazon on debut for this yard in March.Value for plenty extra when winning second hurdles start in December, but this is a steep rise inclass.

    Cotton Mill

Useful on Flat for William Jarvis in 2010, and has created favourable impression in an unbeatenhurdles career so far. Open to further improvement, but will need to be in this company.

Double Ross (IRE)Improved when making all in novice hurdle at Folkestone, scoring by 14 lengths. Creditableefforts next 2 starts but well held in valuable handicap at Newbury last time.

    Felix Yonger (IRE)

Bumper winner for Howard Johnson, and has won 2 from 3 over hurdles for new yard this term.Far from fluent when winning Naas Grade 2 last time, and will need to jump better in this.

    Fiulin

One-time smart stayer on Flat who came back from long absence to gain belated first win overhurdles on debut for the yard in novice at Market Rasen (21f) last month. Lot more needed here.

    Make Your Mark (IRE)

Point/bumper winner who cruised to victory in 2m maiden at Leopardstown before finishing thirdto Boston Bob in a Grade 2 over same C&D, again travelling well. One of the likelier types.

    Monksland (IRE)

Unbeaten under Rules, and booked his place for this when a smooth winner of Grade 2 at Naasin January on first crack at 2m. Hard to believe he's not capable of even better.

    Nagpur (FR)

Fair level of form in France, and won 2 of 4 starts over hurdles for this yard, including Fontwellhandicap in January. Latest second in listed event at Huntingdon exposes limitations, however.

    Natural High (IRE)

Won bumper in 2009 and successful 3 times on the level since. Off the mark at first attempt overhurdles at Galway but off the track since September, and let go by Dermot Weld in the meantime.

    Nelson's Bridge (IRE)

Has created very good impression when winning bumper at Bangor and 19f novice hurdle atTaunton. Step up in trip promises to suit, and he'll leave bare form well behind.

    Simonsig

Point/bumper winner for Ian Ferguson, and has quickly established himself as a high-classhurdles prospect, his only defeat coming at the hands of Fingal Bay. Massive player if coping withthis test.

    Sous Les Cieux (FR)

Stylish winner of 2m Fairyhouse maiden in November prior to beating Galileo's Choice in Grade1 Royal Bond there. Progress has stalled since, and possible he needs testing ground to be seenat best.

    Sunny Ledgend

Won 2 of 3 starts over hurdles this season, and good second to Carrigmorna King in a strongerevent at Newbury in between. Way off the standard required in this, however.

    The Tracey Shuffle

Dual bumper winner who has made a promising start over hurdles, chasing home Nagpur atLingfield (19f) prior to landing the odds at Ayr. Not the yard's first string judged on jockeybookings.

    Secret Edge

Won listed event at Wetherby in October and upped his game when third to Batonnier in 20fGrade 2 event here in January. Still hard to see him troubling the principals.

Grands Crus (FR) - First Lieutenant (IRE) - Bobs Worth (IRE)

    TIMEFORM VIEW

Grands Crus is an outstanding novice chaser and is taken to justify his connections' decision tobypass the Gold Cup. First Lieutenant, Bobs Worth and Join Together spearhead the opposition, but are likely to be playing for place money if the selection lives up to expectations.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Bobs Worth (IRE)

Won 2011 Spa Hurdle, and beat Cue Card on chase debut at Newbury. In frame both subsequentstarts, again not fluent when second to Invictus at Ascot last time, but still open to furtherprogress.

    Call The Police (IRE)

Jumped well when easily winning a maiden chase at Gowran, and good second of 4 to LastInstalment in Dr P J Moriarty at Leopardstown (21f) last month. Doubts remain about his ability tostay 3m.

    Cannington Brook (IRE)

Second-season novice who failed to stay 29f when fifth in Welsh National, but sandwiched thateffort with handicap wins at Haydock, both on heavy ground. Not quite the same force away fromthe mud.

    First Lieutenant (IRE)

Won Neptune Hurdle here last year, and successful in graded chases at Tipperary and Cork inNovember. Excellent second in Leopardstown Grade 1 after Christmas, and may well do betterstill.

    Grands Crus (FR)

Top-class hurdler who looks at least as good in this sphere, unbeaten in 3 runs, the latest whenbeating Silviniaco Conti and Bobs Worth in Feltham at Kempton. Sure to prove tough to beat.

    Join Together (IRE)

Fell on chase bow at Chepstow in October, but has won both starts here since, taking a stepforward when beating Mossley over 25f in December. Bold jumper who won't fail for lack ofstamina.

Lambro (IRE)Made a winning chase debut at Naas in November. Better form in defeat since, 3 lengths thirdof 4 to Last Instalment in 21f Leopardstown Grade 1 last time, but needs more to trouble best ofthese.

    Mr Moonshine (IRE)

Bold-jumping front runner who's taken well to fences this season, winning twice. Limitationsexposed when only fifth of 6 behind Grands Crus in Feltham, though, and well held over hurdleslast time.

    Walkon (FR)

Made impressive chase debut when beating subsequent Grade 2 winner at Exeter (19f) inDecember. Has looked short of pace when beaten twice since, and step up to 3m may help inthat regard.

    TIMEFORM VIEW

With doubts over Finian's Rainbow's ability to get up the hill this could come down to last year's1-2 Sizing Europe and Big Zeb. The former is the one to beat again, but the betting does very

much reflect that and more value is to be had by backing Big Zeb each-way given it's very difficultto see him out of the first 3. Kauto Stone could take third.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Big Zeb (IRE)

Finished out of the first 2 only once since falling in this in 2009, making amends in 2010, andfinding only Sizing Europe too good 12 months ago. Hard to see him not being involved.

    Finian's Rainbow (IRE)

Bold-jumping front runner who is 5 from 7 over fences, and travelled best in 17f Grade 1 at Ascotin January until overhauled close home. High cruising speed a big asset here, but can finishweakly.

    Gauvain (GER)

Landed valuable C&D event for second successive season on return, but has failed to completeon 2 of last 4 starts. Headgear back on, but others still readily preferred.

    I'm So Lucky

Won Celebration Chase at Sandown in 2010, and not discredited on both chase starts thisseason, 8 lengths to Sprinter Sacre at Newbury last time. Will play no more than a minor rolehere.

    Kauto Stone (FR)

Followed Grade 2 win at Down Royal (2m) with a clear second to Sizing Europe in TingleCreek. Possible to forgive Ascot flop latest and this only his fourth run for Paul Nicholls. Placeclaims.

    Realt Dubh (IRE)

Third in 2011 Arkle, and took Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse in April. Not seen since chasinghome Captain Chris at Punchestown in early-May, however, and will do well to take this without aprep run.

    Sizing Europe (IRE)

Lowered colours of Big Zeb in this contest last year, and has looked as good as ever this season, easily landing Tingle Creek before beating Big Zeb again at Punchestown last month. The one tobeat.

    Wishfull Thinking

Hugely progressive last season, winning at both Aintree and Punchestown festivals.Disappointing this time round, and has questions to answer at present.

Balgarry (FR) - Act Of Kalanisi (IRE) - Bally Legend

    TIMEFORM VIEW

French-import Balgarry holds an obvious chance at the weights under a penalty for his recentNewbury demolition job and can give the Pipe team another win in this valuable handicap. Theconsistent Act of Kalanisi is also worth considering, while Bally Legend has a better chance thanhis odds may reflect.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

Get Me Out Of Here (IRE)

Very smart handicap hurdler who was runner-up in last year's County. Even better effort when

chasing home Zarkandar in valuable event at Newbury last time and claims off 4 lb higher.

    Carlito Brigante (IRE)

Won this event last year and good third in 3m Grade 1 at Punchestown in May. Not seen overhurdles since poor run at Wetherby in October, but recent Flat run will have sharpened him up.

    Third Intention (IRE)

Won twice as a novice and improved again this season in some good handicaps. Tongue tiedand not extended to land small-field Grade 2 at Fontwell, but hit hard by the assessor for that.

    Featherbed Lane (IRE)

Progressed well on joining current yard, winning handicaps at Ascot and Aintree prior to nosesecond in Lanzarote at Kempton. Trip too far last time and expected to bounce back.

    Final Approach

Deserving of extra credit when landing last year's County from 10 lb lower mark. Even better formin defeat this term before landing odds at Cork in January, and easy to excuse latest run.

    Golan Way

Had the run of things when springing a surprise in a listed chase at Sandown in December. Out ofhis depth in King George when last seen and not the obvious winner on return to hurdles.

    Spirit River (FR)

Developed into a smart hurdler in 2009/10, landing this race from 4 lb lower. Lightly raced andthings not gone to plan since (failed to take to fences) and this a tough race to bounce back in.

    Stonemaster (IRE)

Won couple of minor events over hurdles in 2010/11, but looks just averagely treated on that formand hasn't been in such good heart this time around, albeit mainly over fences.

    Cockney Trucker (IRE)

Admirably tough and consistent hurdler who added to string of fine efforts when third to OscarWhisky over 2m here on last 2 starts. Doesn't have anything in hand but should give runningagain.

    Tenor Nivernais (FR)

A dual winner in France and better than ever when winning heavy-ground handicaps at Haydockin December and Carlisle last month. Has looked moody, however, and has faster conditions todeal with now.

    Shoreacres (IRE)

Right at the top of his game reverting to hurdles when runner-up last 3 starts, finding onlyunexposed sorts on each occasion. Frame claims.

    First Fandango

Has improved since sent handicapping this term, running out a cosy winner over 2m atLeicester in November. Drop in trip against him later that month but not seen since. Cheekpiecestried.

    Saphir River (FR)

Smart hurdler in France for Carlos Lerner, and proved stamina for 3m when second in Grand Prixd'Automne in November. Sold for 280,000 after that, but faces a stiff task on debut for new yard.

    Silverhand (IRE)

Better than bare result when ninth in this 2 years ago and won all 3 outings last term. Not seensince finishing a creditable sixth in Galway Hurdle in July but can go well fresh.

    Veiled

Won 3 of first 5 races over hurdles, impressive in listed mares handicap here. Also won twiceback on Flat in summer (including at Royal Ascot), but not seen since flopping at Wincanton inNovember.

    Megastar

Useful hurdler who hasn't really kicked on over fences this term. Not badly treated back overhurdles if tongue tie gets him back on track, but not one to rely on.

    Bally Legend

Likeable sort who has been in good form this season, winning couple of handicaps (yard's lastwinner here in December). Better than bare result last 2 starts and lively outsider.

    Star Of Angels

Very lightly raced since finishing fourth from 8 lb out of weights in this 3 years ago. Proved heretains all of ability when winning at Wincanton on second start after long absence in January.

    Consigliere (FR)

Back to best to win 21f Wincanton handicap chase in January, and in frame both starts over 3msince, despite not fully convincing with his stamina. Back over hurdles now.

    Act Of Kalanisi (IRE)

Gritty winner of 19f Ascot handicap last season, and not seen since posting a career best behind2 unexposed sorts in the Lanzarote. Remains on a tempting mark for yard which won this in2007.

    Abergavenny

Good third behind Brampour in Greatwood in November but below that level over hurdles since(won jumpers' bumper at Southwell on penultimate outing). Should stay this far.

    Son Of Flicka

Soundly beaten on all 4 starts this season, looking laboured in the Lanzarote. 5 lb lower thanwhen beaten length in Martin Pipe handicap at this meeting 12 months ago.

    Dare Me (IRE)

Smart bumper performer who won a couple of novice hurdles at Exeter in 2010. Better than resultin each of his 2 starts this year, and further improvement to be expected now upped in trip.

    Knight Pass (IRE)

Talented bumper performer and confirmed his opening mark to be a lenient one when a takingwinner at Kempton (21f) on Boxing Day. Failed to settle when disappointing in Grade 2 herelatest.

    Poole Master

Useful bumper winner who has reached similar standard over hurdles, completing hat-trick with5-length success in 21f novice at Newbury early this month. Interesting handicap debutant.

    Cape Dutch (IRE)

Winner 3 times from 5 starts in this his first season over hurdles, further progress when taking2m handicap at Musselburgh from Cotillion in February. Likely to do better still.

    Cotillion

Useful dual-purpose performer who's been in good heart of late, winning at Chepstow (2m)before good second at Musselburgh last time. Up another 6 lb in much better race now, though.

    Balgarry (FR)

Twice-raced hurdler in France, easily winning juvenile at Clairefontaine. Good start for newconnections in handicap at Newbury earlier in month, making all and jumping fluently. Bigchance.

The handicapper has underestimated Vendor and he looks to hold a clear-cut chance.Stablemate Ardlui, Paul Nicholls' French-recruit Ulck du Lin, and Kazlian top the list of dangers.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    One Cool Shabra (IRE)

Likeable front runner with 3 wins this term and another good run in Grade 2 Naas event lastmonth. Not a fluent jumper, though, and mammoth task on his plate off top weight here.

    Sportsmaster (IRE)

Dual Flat winner in 2011 and successful first completed start over hurdles in 2m Naas maiden inJanuary. Great effort in handicap there last time but likely needs to improve again now blinkered.

    Argocat (IRE)

Flat winner who got off the mark over hurdles at Thurles (2m) in January. Could have more tooffer now entering handicaps and won't mind faster surface.

    Edeymi (IRE)

Well-bred gelding who didn't need to improve to get off the mark at Clonmel (2m) last month. Notobviously well treated now handicapping, but in very capable hands.

    Kapga De Cerisy (FR)

Reached a useful standard in France in the autumn, and posted a much better effort secondBritish start when landing 2m Sandown contest last month. Needs even more now handicapping.

    Kie (IRE)

Scored twice over 2m early on this season and back to form in second at Musselburgh last time.Looks up against it here off opening mark, however.

    Colebrooke

Has won on soft ground at Fontwell and Sandown. Out of his depth in Grade 2 here last time andthis doesn't look all that easier. Has made mistakes.

    Arnaud (IRE)

Impressive hurdles debut in December, landing a 2m Limerick maiden readily. Reportedly made anoise next time at Gowran before put in his place in Grade 2 at Fairyhouse. Stiff task.

    Bat Masterson (IRE)

Has taken well to blinkers, making virtually all in 2m Naas maiden before a good third in Grade 2

at Fairyhouse. Good 7 lb claimer booked and one of the more interesting Irish challengers.

    Moujik Borget (FR)

Dual winning juvenile hurdler in France where fourth in listed race at Auteuil in June. Travelledwell in bottomless ground at Haydock on British debut and should have come on for that.

    Ulck Du Lin (FR)

Successful in newcomers event already over both sets of obstacles as well as a 3-y-o hurdle forJ. Ortet in France. Absent since October, but top yard have done brilliantly with similar recruits.

    Kazlian (FR)

120,000 ex-French gelding and looks set to match the useful level he ran to on the Flat followingan authoritative follow-up success at Leicester in January. Saved for handicaps with more tocome.

    Vendor (FR)

Set to show improved form when falling late on in Grade 1 in his native France and made

faultless start on these shores in 2m juvenile event at Newbury. Assessor has underestimatedhim.

    Blue Cannon (IRE)

Made it third time lucky over hurdles in 2m Down Royal maiden in November. Good fourth inNaas handicap last time but fitting of blinkers needs to spark a load of improvement now.

    Soliwery (FR)

Half-brother to connections' useful chaser Solix. Encouraging debut for yard when edged out byColebrooke at Sandown and should reverse that form, but plenty of improvement needed toprevail.

    Dark and Dangerous (IRE)

Left modest Flat form behind over hurdles, winning 2m events at Sandown and Plumpton. Faredas well as could be expected against couple of smart prospects in last month's Adonis. Tonguetied now.

    Gorgeous Sixty (FR)

Useful on Flat and a 10-length winner of Auteuil maiden hurdle in September. Made low-key startin 2 runs for new yard but could well prove different proposition on handicap debut.

    Une Artiste (FR)

Fair start over hurdles, following up Pau win at Haydock last month for new yard. Bitdisappointing in Adonis subsequently, though not given hard time. Handicap debut.

    Ardlui (IRE)

Off the mark over hurdles in 2m Newbury juvenile event in December. Unsuited by steady pace atDoncaster, and that won't be a problem here. Tongue tied now and could be well treated on Flatform.

    High Samana

First success in 17.5f juvenile maiden at Folkestone in November. Seemed to take big stepforward behind Une Artiste at Haydock last time but unlikely to be holding many secrets fromhandicapper.

    Royal Bonsai

Took very well to hurdling last year, finding a weak Grade 2 to complete the hat-trick at Doncasterin December. Rather more exposed than some here, and assessor may have overreacted.

    Lemon Drop Red (USA)

Three-time winner up to 1m on Flat. Strong form when runner-up on hurdling bow at Kempton, and off the mark when justifying favouritism at Southwell last month. Interesting on handicapdebut.

    Chill (IRE)

Fair performer on Flat and opened account over hurdles in 2m Leopardstown event in December.Good run in Naas handicap last month but 11 lb rise done him no favours. Visor latest headgeartried.

    Jackies Solitaire

Smooth winner at Chepstow and better than bare result on a few occasions since, notably whenchasing home Alasi in Doncaster Grade 2 last time. Fairly treated.

TIMEFORM 1-2-3New Year's Eve - Moscow Mannon (IRE) - Sir Johnson

    TIMEFORM VIEW

As open and competitive as would be expected, but the selection is New Year's Eve, who is bredto be a smart Flat performer and was deeply impressive when winning at Market Rasen last time. The experience gained by Moscow Mannon will help him and he should go well, with Sir Johnsonalso respected among the many dangers.

    TIMEFORM SAYS...

    Champagne Fever (IRE)

Won a point last April and stepped up on debut in this sphere when a facile winner at Fairyhousein January, despite again showing a high head carriage. Bred to stay well.

    Circular Quay

Flat-bred gelding, and well backed when winning at Sandown on debut, making smooth headway

and keeping on well to beat Keep Kicking a length. Should improve, but will need to at this level.

    Clonbanan Lad (IRE)

Won a maiden Irish point in November, and unbeaten in 2 bumper starts, defying a penalty intaking style at Naas last month. More to come, though unproven away from testing ground.

    Glenwood Present (IRE)

Bought for 50,000 after winning Irish point in May. First form in bumpers when third at Kemptonlast time in a tongue tie, but that form is a long way removed from the standard required here.

    Ifandbutwhynot (IRE)

Moved powerfully when winning at the third attempt at Newcastle in November, but found nothingafter again travelling best in listed event at Ascot last time, eventually finishing fourth.

    Many Clouds (IRE)

Bred to need a test of stamina, but didn't look short of speed when taking a newcomers event atWetherby last month. Hard to know what he beat there, but visually impressive, and will improve.

    Moscow Mannon (IRE)

Progressing well in bumpers, winning his last 3 starts on varying ground. Was particularlyimpressive at Gowran last time, and experience he has gained will stand him in good stead in thisfield.

    Piano Concerto (USA)

Well backed, but found out by inexperience when promising third on debut at Lingfield (polytrack)in November. Good third to Shutthefrontdoor at Ascot next time, but thrashed by that rival since.

    Pique Sous (FR)

Better effort in bumpers (tongue tied on debut) when winning at Leopardstown in February fromDancers Dilemma. That wasn't the strongest event for the track, but respected given yard'srecord here.

    Royal Guardsman (IRE)

Routed rivals at Fontwell (2m) on debut last April, and belatedly built on that effort when

winning a competitive Ascot event last month. Has a bright future, and one to take seriously here.

    Sir Johnson

Successful on all 4 starts in this sphere, and deserves extra credit for conceding lumps of weightat Aintree in October, when he had Royal Guardsman back in fourth. Not one to take lightly.

    The Romford Pele (IRE)

Runner-up on first 2 starts, and then improved when winning at Bangor after a break last month.Has a future over jumps, but looks to be flying too high here.

    Village Vic (IRE)

Point winner who won an ordinary affair at Chepstow in December. Much improved when secondto Shutthefrontdoor at Newbury last time, when giving impression there is more to come. Notruled out.

    Yes Way Hosay (IRE)

Easy winner on second point start, and stayed on well to land a modest bumper at Wexford in

October. Looks one to follow when tackling hurdles, but lack of pace may prove his undoing here.

    Cool George

Pedigree something of a mixed bag, but sprung a shock for his small yard when easily landing a17f Exeter bumper in January. No fluke about that performance, but this is a much stiffer test.

    Horatio Hornblower (IRE)

Belied inexperience when promising third to Shutthefrontdoor in warm contest at Newbury lastmonth. Slight concern that a race like this may come too soon for him, but a smart prospectnonetheless.

    Jezki (IRE)

From a good family, and has won both starts in this sphere, putting up a smart performance todefy a penalty at Leopardstown 10 days ago, despite showing a tendency to flash his tail.

    New Year's Eve

Has won both starts in bumpers at minor tracks, showing a fine turn of foot to outclass theopposition on each occasion. Looks capable of a good deal better, and big chance here.

    The New One (IRE)

Justified market support when winning strongly-run Warwick bumper in November, and betterform when taking listed event here in January, both over 1m. Sure to do better over 2m, andmerits respect.

    Virginia Ash (IRE)

Half-brother to talented jumpers Bensalem and Court In Motion. Good third to The New One ondebut here in January, and didn't need to improve to take a 4-runner affair at Kempton last time.
