The Parent Opinion Survey is conducted annually by the Department of
Education and Training and selecting a sample of randomly selection of
parents at every school in Victoria. This year, about 30 per cent of
parents have been invited to participate. All responses to the survey are
anonymous.
The survey helps our school gain an understanding of how you view our
school climate, student engagement, and relationships. Our school will
use the results to inform school planning and improvement strategies.
The survey will be conducted online by ORIMA Research Pty Ltd and
only takes 15 minutes to complete. If you received an email to
participate please help us improve by completing the survey. If you
could also email back when you have done it we would appreciate it.
Have you seen our new art work on the fence of Clayton Road? Our 5/6
students have been working very hard to create this master piece.
Senorita guided the students to draw the pictures before painting them.
We also had some help to ensure it was of a high standard from our
wonderful parent community.

We are currently taking enrolments for Prep 2019.. If you haven’t done so already, please enrol your eligible child into our great school.
This week we picked up our plants from Kingston Council. These plants were given to us in celebration of National Tree Planting Day. our Waste Warriors worked as a team to find out where these plants were needed in our large gardens and organised themselves in a working be to plant them correctly. What a great job they did.
The move from Primary to Secondary School is a major milestone for your child. It's a time of big changes in their development, education and life. We are committed to ensuring we are giving our students the education that industries will need, and the skills that employers will expect them to have. Secondary Schools work with us to make transition easier. A school's transition program includes:
student talks by past students at their old primary school
secondary school teachers' talks or introductory lessons at primary schools
Year 6 visits to secondary schools
Buddy systems at secondary schools, teaming older and younger students.
As part of the transition from Year 6 to Year 7, students in government secondary schools participate in an Orientation Day. All government schools hold this Orientation Day on the same day which is in December. On this day the Year 6 students spend the day at their chosen Secondary School. All Year 6 students will very shortly receive their placement confirmation letter.
Our grade has focussed on six different types of procedural text. They include: directions, instructions, recipes, rules for games, manuals and agendas. Here are a few of our favourite ones!
