Introduction: use TC 13-17 to introduce the words. Show one TC at a time and say the name of the color. Sts repeat each word several times. Practice the colors by saying the color and having sts point to objects and clothes around the classroom that are the same color. Have sts repeat the color. Continue the activity with all the colors.
Main part: conduct a quick dril of the words with the TC. Do not speak as you show the cards. Have sts identify the colors. Gradually pick up speed as sts get used to saying the words. Use TC 13-17. Show each card and say the sentence It's (red). Play track 24. Have sts listen and point to the colors. Play the audio again and have sts repeat the words. Play track 25. Have sts listen and point to the pictures in the order they hear the words. Use TC 13-17. As you show each card, have sts say the word. Gradually pick up speed so that you show each card a bit faster than the speed of what the sts are saying. Change the order of the cards, showing the cards sts have problems with more frequently.
Ending part: Use SC 13-17. Hold up one color card and say the name. Sts hold up matching cards or point to items in the room that have the same color. Then only say each color and have sts hold up the appropriate color card.
