honor of Grandmaster Chong Soo Lee’s legacy, we are continuing his mission of “Kicking Drugs out of this

The 2019 Chong Lee Taekwondo Cup will be held on May18, 2019, in Montreal, Quebec, at the Claude-

Robillard Center.

As we celebrate our 55th anniversary, we welcome you and the entire Taekwondo community to join us in

Nous désirons féliciter tous les athlètes pour leur préparation et participation à la Coupe Chong Lee Taekwondo prévue le

18 mai, 2019 au Centre sportif Claude Robillard.

L’école de taekwondo, introduit au Canada depuis 1964 par le Grand maitre Chong Soo Lee, encourage ses nombreux

étudiants à persévérer dans la vie, à combattre la toxicomanie de nos jours et de résoudre les conflits dans la non-violence.

Aujourd’hui, le Grand maitre Evangelos Lygeros, sa conjointe Sheila Lee ainsi que tout son personnel rappellent

constamment aux étudiants l’importance d’être courtois, intègre et respectueux envers tous. En espérant que cette

philosophie fera de ces jeunes les citoyens de demain. Nous tenons à vous remercier sincèrement, l’école Chong Lee

Taekwondo, pour l’impact positif que vous avez envers ces jeunes et pour votre détermination de promouvoir une meilleure

qualité de vie.

Chong Lee Taekwondo School will be hosting its annual taekwondo tournament at “Centre Claude Robillard” on May 18th

2019. As a Montreal Police Officer and as a student at Chong Lee Taekwondo, I would like to extend my sincere

congratulations to all the athletes for their preparation and participation in the Chong Lee Taekwondo Cup Tournament.

Chong Lee Taekwondo is an institution with extraordinary staff that is dedicated with heart and soul to the achievement and

advancement of young athletes. The school, introduced to Canada 55 years ago by Grand Master Chong Soo Lee,

continuously encourages their young students to persevere in all they do, to combat drug abuse and emphasizes the

importance of resolving conflicts in a non-violent manner. Moreover, Grand Master Evangelos Lygeros & his associates

constantly prepare our kids to become successful in school, at work and in everyday life challenges. Perseverance, courtesy,

integrity and respect, are the guidelines at Chong Lee Taekwondo School today where Grand Master Evangelos Lygeros,

his wife Sheila Lee and their associates continuously enforce them. These qualities will nonetheless contribute to a more

healthy and civil future. Thank-you Grand Master Evangelos Lygeros, to your spouse Sheila Lee and all your associates for

the positive impact your institution has on the youths of today. Your school and your continuous efforts and determination

are contributing in making our city a better place and in promoting a better way of life.

Le protège buccal (transparent ou blanc) obligatoire à partir de CADET (pour les couleurs) et pour tous les POOM et

Le plastron réversible (bleu ou rouge) de grandeur appropriée et du modèle couvrant les épaules et le dos du participant.

Foot instep covering up top of the foot for all belts are mandatory. ITF foot instep protectors are not allowed. Cotton

foot insteps are allowed for age group U7 and U9 ONLY.

Pour les catégories JEUNE, CADET, JUNIOR, SENIOR ET 35+ et toutes les divisions ÉLITES et B, les bas Daedo sont

obligatoires pour l’utilisation des plastrons électroniques. Ils seront vendus sur place par la FQT. Les plastrons

électroniques seront fournis par la FQT pour toutes ses divisions et ses groupes d’âges.

For YOUTH, CADET, JUNIOR, SENIOR & 35+ and all ELITES division and B, Daedo socks are mandatory for use

with electronic body pads. They will be sold by the FQT on site. Electronic body pads will be provided by the FQT for

these age groups & divisions.
