Когда-то трафарет был однимиз надёжных друзейреволюционеров с дырявымикарманами, но полнымивеликих идей головами.

Скорее всего, первыетрафареты неслиполитические лозунги ипоявились в Париже воначале х, во времянародного восстания,известного, как «Парижскаякоммуна». Восстаниеподавили, но эффектный ипочти бесплатный методвоздействия на массы выжил.

Естественно, его взяли те, ктоимел мало денег, но многоамбиций. Полвека спустяпосле парижского восстанияитальянские фашистырисовали на стенах портретысвоего вождя - БенитоМуссолини. Образ «дуче»воздействовал лучше любоголозунга.

Вообще, стэнсилы сталиособенно популярны встранах юга, где народвсегда был беднее, аграмотных - меньше,соответственно, картинкиимели несравненно большийэффект.

Мои работы - это конечно нетрафарет. Это плакаты,выполненные в похожейманере.В отличие от большинстваработ уличных художников,чьи работы иногдасуществуют всего несколькочасов (после чего ихбезжалостно уничтожаютлибо просто портят), моиплакаты более долговечны.

Once the stencil was one of thetrusted friends of therevolutionaries with leakypockets, but full of great ideasof their heads.

Most likely, the first stencilswere carrying political slogans,and appeared in Paris in early1870, during the popularuprising known as the "ParisCommune". Rebellion crushedbut effective and almost freemethod of influencing themasses to survive.

Naturally, it took those whohad little money but a lot ofambition. Half a century afterthe Paris uprising Italianfascists drew on the wallsportraits of their leader -Benito Mussolini. The image of"Duce" wrought better thanany slogan.

Generally, stensily becameespecially popular in the south,where people have alwaysbeen poorer, and literate - less,respectively, images weremuch larger effect.

My work - it certainly does notstencils. It is posters, done in asimilar manner.Unlike most of the work ofstreet artists, whose works aresometimes there are only afew hours (after which theymercilessly destroyed or simplyspoil), my posters are moredurable.

Mi trabajo - ciertamente noplantillas. Es carteles, hecho deuna manera similar.A diferencia de la mayoría delos trabajos de artistas decalle, cuyas obras son a veceshay sólo unas pocas horas(después de lo cualdestruyeron sin piedad oecharse a perder,simplemente), mi carteles sonmás durables.

Автомобильные пробки сталинеотъемлемой частью жизнимегаполисов.О какой свободепередвижения может идтиречь, если очень частодвижение в городе простопарализовано.Именно многокилометровыепробки вдохновили меня насоздание этой серии работ.

Traffic jams have become anintegral part of life in cities.What freedom of movementmay be involved, if often trafficin the city just paralyzed.This multi-kilometer trafficjams have inspired me tocreate this series.

Трамвай - один из самыхэкологичных видовтранспорта.К сожалению его постепенновытесняют с улиц городов.

Иногда только вывески"Берегись трамвая"напоминают о том,что здесь когда-то проходилего маршрут.

Tram - one of the mostenvironmentally friendly modesof transport.Unfortunately it graduallydriven from the streets ofcities.

Sometimes only signs "Bewareof the tram" remindedthat there had once held hisroute.
