WISH SENTENCES – CAÂU ÖÔÙC AO: Meänh ñeà phuï sau ñoäng töø Wish (öôùc ao, mong öôùc) thöôøng duøng ñeå dieãn taû nhöõng öôùc muoán traùi vôùi thöïc teá ôû hieän taïi, töông lai, hoaëc quaù khöù hoaëc nhöõng töôûng töôïng khoâng coù thaät. Coù 3 loaïi caâu öôùc ao:I. FUTURE WISH: (öôùc muoán ôû töông lai): ñeå mong öôùc moät ñieàu gì ñoù trôû neân khaùc ñi hoaëc thay ñoåi ôû hieän taïi hoaëc töông lai, ta coù coâng thöùc:

S + wish + Future in the past (Töông lai trong quaù khöù) S + would / could /should / might + V

Ex: We won’t live in Dalat. We wish we would live in Dalat.He can’t become a good pupil. He wishes he could become a good pupil.

II. PRESENT WISH (Öôùc muoán ôû hieän taïi): dieãn taû ñieàu mong öôùc traùi vôùi söï thaät ôû hieän taïi, ta coù coâng thöùc:
