DPS Tapi celebrated a

Health, Hygiene and Diet

Week from 2-6 April

2018 to create awareness

among the students

regarding the benefits of

eating healthy food,

importance of hygiene

and physical activities.

The week was celebrated

by making board

decorations and observing

healthy food week in the

classes. A presentation

was done by Class X on

the topic to different

classes. Class Prep-B

students conducted a

special assembly on the

occasion.

ORIENTATION DAY

The Orientation for new students and parents

of Delhi Public School Tapi was held on 31

March 2018, welcoming all the New Dipsites

to Academic Session 2018-19.

The Orientation commenced with lighting of

the Vidyadeepam, the Lamp of Knowledge at

the Krirangan Conference Hall, marking the

beginning of a vibrant new Learning

Partnership. Our Performing Arts Department

presented a melodious blend of Classical

Fusion, followed by an Introduction to

Classical Dance.Our DPST Team showed the

new parents how to access the DPS

Tapi Website, App, Blogs, Facebook and

Twitter for communication with school. The

principal, Dr. Sanjukta Sivakumar, addressed

the new parents on the Learning Partnership

between home and school and the necessity of

allowing children to achieve their milestones at

their own pace without any undue pressure or

comparison.

The Student Council DPS Tapi for 2018-19

was elected on 6 April, 2018 in the KCH. The

election was done on the basis of proportional

representation system giving hands on

opportunity for students to understand voting

system.

Nominated candidates were voted by their

respective houses as Captains and Vice-

Captains from Classes X and IX respectively.

CLAY MODELLING

Clay Modelling is a great way to help children

develop imagination, spark creativity and enhance

their gross motor skills. Clay Modelling week was

conducted for Classes I and II from 16-20 April

2018, wherein the children participated

enthusiastically. They made initials of their

names, created snowman and tiaras. Children

enjoyed the activity thoroughly.

POTTERY WEEK

DPS Tapi Pottery Week was

conducted for Classes III-V from

24-27 April 2018. The children

participated in pottery making with

great interest. Their focused faces

during the class revealed their

eagerness and creativity as they

shaped dinosaurs, created bowls and

made birds. The children enjoyed

the texture and feel of clay, turning

pots on the wheel and molding their

own pots.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND

FIRST- AID TRAINING

WORKSHOP

The Emergency Response and First-

Aid Training Workshop was

conducted on 30 April 2018 by Dr

Akshay Shah, CEO and Co- Founder,

Jarma Wellness. The workshop, which

was a refresher course, was attended

by the students and faculty members.

Information and skills required to help

in medical emergencies were provided

through theory and practical

demonstrations. The training focused

on CPR, treating burns, managing

wounds, fractures and day to day

accidental emergencies. It was a well-

designed and informative session

providing basic life saving training.

MOTHER’S DAY

CELEBRATION

DPS Tapi celebrated Mother’s Day on

4 May 2018 with lovely cards and heart

warming messages from Classes Nur-

X. Classes I-II students presented a

show before their visiting mothers,

played various fun games and spent

quality time, including making

Sandwiches & Fruits Salads.
