1. Modern activity structures study groups, mentoring, coaching
(asopposed to those disconnected from the classroom or which did
not providesufficient time/activities/content necessary for
fostering meaningful change)
2. Collective participation groups of teachers with rich
discussions, moreideas, more questions asked and answered as
opposed to isolated individual
3. Duration PD activities over a sustained period of time allows
for deeper discussions/reflections, more content/teaching
strategies, more time to tryout/receive feedback on their
teaching
