DOCTER® Long-range Optics Competence from Future and Tradition

DOCTER® Binoculars breathe an air of tradition and modern times.

The production site in Southern Thuringia is where observation optics

characterized by high quality standards come into being.

The interaction of optical know-how and fine mechanical precision

forms the basis for these high-performance products.

DOCTER® Binocular Engineering

Roof prisms – also called straight view binoculars, permit a slender design. Due to the prism

alignment, eyepiece and lens are arranged in one line (straight view).

Porro prism binoculars exhibit a very compact overall length and ergonomically convenient

handling due to the 90° angular offset of their prisms. The prism alignment permits an enlargement

of the lens distance and thus a more spatial impression.

Both design principles guarantee the highest degree of transmission, brilliance, colour fidelity,

contrast and edge definition.

Porro prism system

DOCTER® binoculars are available in two prism designs: roof prism and porro prism.

ED LensesThe use of ED lenses guarantees a true to original colour reproduction

and an increased sense of contrast. The picture seems clearer, more

focussed and spatial. ED is the abbreviation for "Extra low Dispersion

Glass“. Special lenses reduce the color fringes, thus guaranteeing a

high degree of detail perceptibility.

FocussingDOCTER® binoculars are equipped with different focussing versions.

The range comprises models with central focussing (CF) or individu-

al focussing (iF).

Suitability for Spectacle WearersDOCTER® binoculars have a large eye relief distance, which makes

them particularly suitable for spectacle wearers. The entire field of

view is available to spectacle wearers. The individual binocular-eye-

distances can be adjusted, either by turning over the rubber eye

cups or by twisting the "twist up“ eyepieces in three latching steps.

Experience a Wide-angled View of Nature

DOCTER® 8 × 42 ED The light binoculars for stalking, trekking and outdoors.

The DOCTER® ED binocular models with 42-mm lens opening convince by their functional design. An open hinge

connects the two halves of the binoculars. The "through grip" allows you to conveniently hold the binoculars with

one hand, while simultaneously operating the focussing mechanics. The sturdy, water-pressure tight and yet light

housing offers maximum protection to the lenses and mechanical components inside. The ED high-performance

lenses guarantee an impressive viewing experience with brilliant, sharply contoured and highly contrasting imaging.

DOCTER® 8 x 58 B/CF

Top Class lenses for the Discerning Customer

DOCTER® 8 × 58 B/CF The raised hide binoculars for the nocturnal hunter.

DOCTER® 8 x 58 stands for light intensity, high transmission performance and absolute detail perceptibility under unfavo-

urable light conditions. The lens opening of 58 mm, a dielectrically phase-corrected prism system and a 5-lens eyepiece

as well as the coating of all optically effective lens elements with DOCTER®multitop guarantee perfectly sharp images.

The water-pressure tight, nitrogen-filled casing consists of a high-strength synthetic polymer and together with the slip-

proof sheathing guarantees the longevity of lenses and mechanical system.

Overcoming limits

DOCTER® 7 × 40 B/GA The binoculars for special tasks.

Apart from their excellent optical performance, the models of the DOCTER® B/GA line are characterized by their extreme

sturdiness in respect of mechanical and climatic environmental influences. These binoculars were developed and pro-

duced according to military standards and can thus also be used in areas where other binoculars are stretched to their

limits. The advantages of the roof prism design manifest themselves in particular in the compact design and handy sha-

pe. The use of high-performance lenses with specially developed coating layers achieves peak values as far as resolution,

edge definition, contrast and brilliance are concerned. The robust, shock-absorbing rubber sheathing reliably and safely

protects the lenses and mechanical system that are designed for extreme stresses.

DOCTER®ASPECTEM 80/500 ED Bringing the Distance Very Close

Everytime it is necessary to get an accurate view of even the smallest detail from a great distance, the DOCTER®

ASPECTEm is indispensable. Experience unforgettable moments and plunge into the diversity and beauty of nature.

in particular wildlife observations are turned into a special experience with these observation binoculars.

Even the stars are brought within close reach by the ASPECTEm. Equipped with the impressive wide-angle eyepiece

(uWA), foreign galaxies are open to exploration.

The use of special ED lenses achieves an impressive contrast and absolute colour fidelity. The light aluminium body is

climate resistant, splash water-proof, highly weather-proof and dust-proof. Highly magnifying lenses necessitate the use

of tripods. The DOCTER®ASPECTEm is equipped with a standardised tripod connection so that it can be used with all

commercially available tripods. With that, you can provide your ASPECTEm with the right support for every application.

Standard eyepieceThe standard eyepiece is a universally usable eyepiece with an average magnification, a

large field of view and a good suitability for spectacle wearers. For DOCTER®, "standard"

is what others call "wide angle"!

Vario eyepieceEnjoy the possibility of gradually changing your ASPECTEm's magnification. Thus, you

can choose between a large field of vision or a particularly large magnification, enabling

you to optimally combine overview and detailed magnification. Due to its special paten-

ted design, this eyepiece counts among the few variable eyepieces, where the subjecti-

ve field of view is to a large extent independent of the set magnification. We are the only

manufacturer to offer variable eyepieces on observation binoculars.

UWA eyepieceThis ultra wide angle eyepiece constitutes a completely novel eyepiece with a state-of-

the-art design. Apart from the unrivalled panoramic impression, it is characterised by a

good monocular behaviour and its suitability for spectacle wearers due to the foldable

eye cup. in addition the uWA eyepiece is available in a special design as slip-on eyepi-

ece for astronomic applications. The ultra-wide angle anastigmatic eyepiece convinces

with its stigmatic (stigma = dot) imaging across the entire field of view. Thus, even stars

at the edge of the image are still visible as sharply defined dots in unparalleled precision.

In its range of high-performance lenses, DOCTER® also offers enlarging visual aids for all kinds of users -

photographers, technicians, collectors - or for domestic use.

The DOCTER® luminette achieves a 2.7-times magnification. The option of placing the magnifying glass directly onto the

object to be viewed makes the luminette ideal for reading design drawings and historic documents. With a diameter of

65 mm it is compact, but offers a sufficiently large field of view for relaxed viewing.

This convenient reading magnifier in classic design meets high standards. The lens that reproduces with a

high edge definition magnifies objects 2.8 times. With a lens diameter of 70mm and a weight of 104g,

this reading magnifier is sufficiently compact to fit every bag or backpack.

DOCTER® adjustable magnifying glasses are available with 6 x and 8 x magnification. They are particularly suited for

viewing small objects, for instance slides, negatives or microfilms against an illuminated background. The lens adjust-

ment option in vertical direction makes it possible to focus even spatial objects at all levels. With a lens diameter

from 16mm and a weight from 22g, these magnifying glasses are convenient pocket-sized helpers.
